    One ridiculous thing Ferrari did around the 2008 season was have a traffic light system instead of a lollipop stick for their drivers exiting the pit lane, which resulted in Kimi Raikkonen running over one of his mechanics (Valencia 2008) and Massa driving off with his fuel hose still attached (Singapore 2008). There were also two further incidents in the same races where both times Felipe Massa was released into the path of Adrian Sutil. These incidents had a lot of people saying that the traffic light system cost them the world championship.

    • @forzaferrari9912

      Ironically, the same happened in Bahrain 2018 where Kimi also ran over the mechanic, breaking his leg in the process.

    1:16 I still feel bad for Kimi. Crashing out of the race after a great start because Vettel squeezed Max who somehow didn't notice the massive red car that's mostly past him on the left side already and swerved left. Tbf the only thing he could have done to avoid a crash was to get off the gas at that point which is obviously not optimal.

    • @ChickenMusiala
      @ChickenMusiala 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And people litteraly blamed Max for that incident because he drove "agressive"

    • @PLTConductorComposer
      @PLTConductorComposer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @nameless There's no way Vettel would have known Räikkönen was there due to the spray/blind spots. He thought he was only covering off Max and if Kimi wasn't there it would've been perfectly fine as a covering move. Just bad circumstances added up to utter catastrophe and the biggest gift in Mercedes's history.

    A1-Ring was race 6, and given more context it gets weirder, before the race Michael was on 44 points vs Montoya's 23, and Ralf's 20 in 3rd.
    Poor old Rubens had retired from 4 out of 5 races, and was sitting on just 6 points from a P2 finish at Imola.
    Michael would end up winning the title with 144 points, and the nearest non Ferrari was sitting pretty on bloody 50.
    Rubens was denied a 2nd career win for zero reason whatsoever.

    Honorable mentions:
    2009 Ferrari F60: The prequel to the F14T in a way. Had one of the ugliest noses of 2009, never got on par with Mclaren going towards the end of the season.
    2019 SF90: That car was solely built just to win Monza, fastest car in a straight line but dreadful in the corners. Dunno what was Mattia thinking when building this. And also the matte paint was ugly imo.
    2011 F150: Only Ferrari to have the Italian flag prominently displayed on the rear wing
    2005 F2005: Had another wing below the front wing

      Don't forget the horror SF1000

    • @youngrody2386
      @youngrody2386 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The SF90 was deadly fast even in the corners, it wasn't until the RB and the FIA caught them in their fuel sensor loophole where the car became slowly off the pace but was still pretty good. Mattia Binotto did a good job incorperating this loophole into the car's inherent design, however what we should be salagging off is the fact that the same power hungry chassis was used in the SF1000 with an engine where its development was an complete and utter joke. Still with Ferrari showing tons of promise this season due to Binotto's leadership, Sainz and Leclerc being a godly duo, and Ferrari finally realizing that their own hubris can work against them, has shown us that the team's situation at Ferrari has gotten alot better and produce a car like F1-75 which is as good as it looks.

      I still have to pinch myself when I think about it. With Michael Schumacher, Ferrari not only had the most successful F1 driver at the time, but by far the most successful driver in the company's own history. I still can't quite believe that Luca Di Montezemolo was such a fool. They were successful in the short term, but Ferrari hasn't had a world champion since Kimi. Everyone thinks of Schumacher. But he practically triggered a chain reaction. After him, all the fathers of success in the past 10 years - Brawn, Todt and Byrne - left one after the other....

      Not wanna nitpick, obviously tifosi is the well known term and the most recognisable for most f1 fans but in Italian the singolar form is "tifoso" for males or "tifosa" for females

    In your first example, it is actually Verstappen that ran into Kimi. Kimi then made contact with Vettel. The whole thing was not Ferraris fault.

    • @gustavomarques4097
      @gustavomarques4097 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Verstappen was sandwiched between two Ferraris and Vettel was covering him aggressively on the right. He had no place to go, Vettel was the one to blame on that incident.

    • @prajwalkpbhat8998
      @prajwalkpbhat8998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tbh it was more of a racing incident. Can't blame max or seb for that. Seb was trying to prevent max from taking the lead but didn't notice kimi who had a great start. Thus they ended up taking out each other.

    i'd say spygate, it so stupid like why would you give your secrets to a rival when your battling them for the championship, example take two soldiers who absolutely hate each other and one of them gives the other a better weapon to kill him it makes no sense

    I wanted to punch Fernando Alonso in the face when Felipe was told Fernando was faster than him. It was Sebastian Vettel's fault that Fernando was behind and Felipe deserved the win.
    Edit: I'm a fan of Fernando now and follow him on instagram.

    Letting one of the or possibly the best driver on the grid down in 2017 and 2018 by undedeveloping the car and not giving team orders to kimi like merc used to do with bottas.
    Lost them 2 championships.
    Another one: Exchanging Arrivabene for SBinotto. He was a good engineer, but isn't a good manager.
