I have a master's degree in Library Science and a law degree and I worked as a law librarian before I switched to working in IT. It's best to not have your books pressed against the back wall of your bookshelves to prevent mold growth. If you're particularly worried about this, you could also use a dehumidifier in your room (30-50% relative humidity is best). Your love of books is inspiring and it's really great to see someone your age being so enthusiastic about the printed page.

Have you read his Bartimaeus series? I strongly recommend listening to them as audiobooks. Simon Jones’ narration really brings them to life! You might be able to find them in the library.
