How to use Hot Fix Applicator Tool for applying Crystals, Rhinestones and Studs

- Hot Fix Applicator Tool is the easiest way of applying Hot fixes to almost any surface. Hotfix applicator tool is a great tool when it comes to applying hotfix on any surface. It makes the work really very easy and effortless. For that all you have to do is screw the right tip on the wand according to the size of hotifx you are going to use. Now, plug in the tool and switch it on. Pick the crystal or rhinestone with the tip and you will see the glue at the back of the hotfix will start to melt and produce bubble. Now, place it on the surface where you want to stick it. The glue will now form strong bond to the surface. There a flat tip that you can use if the size of hotfix is big.

I think you're using the wrong size tip. I thought it wasn't supposed to touch the fabric. (This way it won't burn)

Yes, I usually wash it on cool for the first 2 times?? and I turn them inside out.

Yes it does. I have that applicator (applied some to my jeans & they have been washed plenty of times)
the only way they will come off is if you scratch it off (a little circle of glue residue might stay behind though)
bought one as a gift because she adds stones to glasses and other things i will respond to tell yall if if work on hard surfaces

Can I use this to place stones on or around HTV? Will it melt it?
You have to place them around the HTV and it'll work fine. If you try on it or too close it will melt the HTV, yes. I've tried. Lol

Will it burn the cloth?
I just tested mine on stretch satin (thin fabric with low melt point). I applied heat to the Hotfix gemstone for 5 seconds and it stuck okay without damaging the fabric
Isn't the light on the tool supposed to turn green once it's hot enough and ready to use? You skipped and didn't show that part.

Hello Tumslover27, There are 7 tips available with this applicator wand. You have to screw the appropriate tip for different stones. How strong the glue is, it depends on which type of stone you are using. The hotfixes that we offer have a strong glue and it lasts for a long period of time if pasted correctly.

Can you use the Hot Fix Applicator if the gem doesn't have glue already on the back? So like, if I squeeze some hot glue onto the back of the gem, will the applicator still bond the crystal to the fabric?

It would! Just a bit tricky to get the placement of the crystal right, as you can't see it as easily as with a tool like this, but sure!

Hello Kayy, Thanks for showing your kind interest for the same.The crystals that we have used in this video are know as hotfix crystals. They already have glue on their back. When we use hotfix applicator gun the glue at the back of the crystal melts and forms a bond with the surface.

no you could crack the glass with the hot tip..
Not true. You can use a Hotfix wand and it will not burn, scrape or cause any other problem. I've personally done glasses, drinkware, dishes and water bottles.
Just make sure the rhinestone is on the outside. Not food/drink safe
