- Short video detailing me changing the spark plugs on this 2001 Honda cbr600. A few things to remember is always use antiseize on the spark plugs when installing, make sure the engine is cold when you do this, Dont try to gap the iridium plugs there pregapped dont touch the tip, also please take your time. This is a easy task once you get everything removed. Below are links to disassemble airbox and remove airbox. Thanks for watching hope to hit 300 subs soon.

If you use a bungee cord attached to the rear seat and gas tank it will hold it out of the way for you!

What size socket are you using for the spark plugs?
This is a really poor bit of design re. Honda. Spark plugs should be easy to change, without taking the bike to bits. Mine is a 1989 (Jelly Mold) model.

I think you probably should have numbered the actual wires instead of the coils since the coils don't matter if they get mixed up. The wires going to the coils however do matter....

My advice is take your old plug in to the auto parts store and show it to them and they should be able to find it from that, took me 3 times of going to the auto store.
I had one of my spark plug wires pop off of my 2001 cbr 600 f4i when I was just going down the road.rode all the way home on 3 cylinders and I can’t seem to get the wire back on over the plug.does it just push straight on the plug or does it require a 1/4 turn or what? Thanks btw it was the first spark plug wire (ignition coil)that popped off
Dude removing the tank takes 2 seconds and you wouldn't have to fight with it lol

So I’ve replaced the spark plugs, but now the bike will not turn over, it starts to crank but won’t fire whatsoever. Any help?

What is the firing order to plug in coils
My left side ignition coil keeps piping off while riding.usually at a red light then when it turns green and I slowly excelerate it pops off and it’s running rough on 3 cylinders .I wonder why it keeps piping off?
The clip is not pushed on hard enough or it is broken. You should feel a click when you push it all the way on.
Hey just bought a 05 cbr600rr it has 14k miles. Should I change the spark plugs? Was gonna. Hangs the oil and air filter. Thanks
I think service interval is 10k on plugs. Follow my links on Amazon to what you need these are iridium there not cheap. Also give amsoil a shot as well from links below. After I fully serviced the bike using amsoil the owner couldn't believe the difference. Any other questions shoot me a email.
Coilpack order is 1234 correct?
They should all be same part numbers for each cylinder. I mark them and put them back the way they come out. If you messed that up they fit in each cylinder fine.
Do you have to take off the side fairings?

I’m noticing it having trouble accelerating when I past 4K rpm
Any suggestions on what might be wrong??
Kyle could be a number of things. Have you worked on this and it's a problem now. Or was this a problem before? Alot of variables on a bike when stuff goes wrong.
I will say I fell while riding, about a year ago,
But it only had a cracked hub cap that is now replaced
Before that there was no problem with it.
Hubcaps are on cars not bikes .
I guess I’m calling it something else but it’s the cover where the stator is
BUT ANYWAYS ITS FIXED.
But that’s basically the history of the bike

The process should be the same it may run different plug numbers. Im not 100% on it but if you watch this video all the way threw it should be pretty close to the carb model. Im trying to find a carbbed model now. Not alot of info out on it.
TorrentPerformance yeah, I’m mainly wondering if I’ll have the clearance to do it without taking the carb off. The injector rail looks a lot smaller than the carbs when I had the tank and airbox off of mine. Any info you have will help, thanks!!!
@@forzerotoo if its carbed you shouldnt worry about injector rail. Air box really needs to come off though. If your gonna think you can save time messing around it your not. You will struggle and waste more time with airbox id just remove it.
TorrentPerformance I think I wasn’t clear. I’ve had the tank and air box off before, but mine having the carb looked a lot tighter than the fuel injected engine in this video. I shouldn’t need to take the carb off to have room to get the plugs in/out, was more of my question?
@@forzerotoo no i wouldnt the plugs are on front of the engine those carbs should be farther back they wont be in the way at all

You want a spark plug socket, has a rubber piece on the inside to catch it, at least that's what I use
