    Great video! Occasional Fasting is so healing.
    My friend works with people who get surgery to lose significant amounts of weight (more than 60-80 pounds). She says occasional fasting of at least 3 days during rapid weight loss helps to tighten the skin so they don't have excessive loose skin once at target weight.
    Thank you for sharing such important information

      You are right, the benefits of fasting for weekends has been documented recently. David Sinclair, an anti-aging scientist in Harvard, seems to advocate this a fair bit.

    Hello, can fasting on only water for 3 weeks heal acne scars and redness?

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fasting seems to help control the inflammation of the skin. There is evidence for short term fasting like intermitent fasting mentioned. Long term fasting of three weeks has been proposed to be excellent for ageing according to Dr David Sinclair. Its may be worthwhile trying long term fasting but is quite difficult to accomplish practically.

      It is unique case. It is the case of my friend.
      Skin Biopsy -- Lichen Amyloidosis.
      Family History -- Father got Small Pox at that time.
      Opinion about this problem?

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@coronavirus831 Lichen amyloidosis is a fairly common condition seen in those with itchy skin. I am unable to correlate any association with a family history of small pox though. It appears to be a red herring.

    Can fasting get rid of stomach excess skin on an obese woman 250lbs?

    • @DiscoverDermatology
      @DiscoverDermatology  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fasting is probably the most natural way to get rid of excess skin as it does so gradually and not suddenly as in bariatric surgery.
