Nagano | YUKI ★★New Year's Dinner at Hakuba★★ 長野県白馬雪ニューイヤーディナー

YUKI is a fusion cuisine restaurant blending Chinese elements with Japanese traditional Kaisei cuisine. The A course at around 6000 yen is decently sufficient, however the B course has more courses that make you feel pampered and incredibly full. The sashimi was very fresh (salmon, scallops, sweet shrimp... B course also has uni). The vegetable dumpling had a mushroom filling. the sauce on the salad was enjoyed by all. The presentation on the roast beef was exquisite. The fish broth, trout and fried shrimp were tasty. Both the beef steak and pork steak had a raw center, and you can ask for more cook on the steak if you don't like it that raw. The crab mayo tofu had a good spicy kick and the seafood fried rice was incredibly al dente. The final hot and cold desserts are very Chinese. The wait staff were Chinese-speaking, including a waitress from Hong Kong, which makes me think the cook could be Chinese, too. @TravelWhiskers @TastyWaterOM
