  • Our family was contemplating a trip to Southeast Asia. It turned out that March was one of the best times to visit the Philippines (less rain, before the really hot season). There were so many places to go, but we heard that Bohol is less crowded, and quite the paradise. The rumor was right, and we couldn't have been more pleased! Less crowds were marked by the absence of American and Japanese tourists. Most foreigners were either Europeans or Koreans. Bohol resorts are mostly on Panglao Island, while the main island is full of lush nature. We were also so surprised by the affordability of food and things in the Philippines. It's so cheap! And the food is so delicious! We stayed in 3 hotels... a beach villa, a river cottage, and a beach hotel with its own mall. We got a taste of different things in Bohol, and we hope to share it with you. Here are the contents and chapters:

What a trip! I've heard many things about the Philippines. This shows that the Philippines is diverse and Bohol is certainly a worthy destination for tourists looking for a resort feel, less crowds, and more untouched nature.

Bohol is definitely worth a look if you are considering the Philippines. Cebu and Boracay tend to be overcrowded. Siargao is also a good alternative to Bohol. I was genuinely surprised at how much Bohol still remains undeveloped.
