That type of oil down you will get at a cook out. Or beachside during a holiday line. The shop selling to might be average for most pallette!
Oil down and run down is not the same. And not to be confused with a trini boil down!!

It is such a shame you had oil down for the first time and it was not nice. I can see it was not done well, it was too dry, some people cannot cook and yes, there are times the saltfish is too salt depending on who cooked it and i love salt. I had oil down in Grenz in August somewhere at St Georges and that was not nice but i previously had it at Mt Rich St Patricks done by some local young men and that was beautiful. Im praying that they will cook it again when next im in Grenz. Run down and oil down are not the same.

Someone has offered to cook 'oil down' for me, so I'm looking forward to that. I've been told that the quality wasn't right previously, and where I purchased it was a factor too. However, I really appreciate your comment, thank you very much. and stay tuned for another review on the oil down coming soon.

Our national dish is oil down. Please dont blame the whole country because somebody did not cook it well.
Many Grenadians cook oil down and it is finger licking.
However am sorry that your first experience was not satisfactory.

Thanks for your comment, but I will be doing another review. Part two of my oil-down review revealed that I did not get it from the best place.

Blessings because its oil down not run down. It depends on where u buy it. Just like some Jamaica jerk chicken is a hit and miss because all cook is not the same.

Also remember that you don’t cook with a lot of salt ( seen in your last video) so other peoples food will be extra salty to you. So don’t blame a whole country for that😂. I am Jamaican.

listen to me no matter what you say that oil down was too salty lol. I have to now do another review because it seems I purchased that meal, let's say somewhere that they weren't versed in the oil-down cooking, but look out for that review soon and i appreciate your comment.

Maybe you should just try it from another place. Please don't discriminate against their food. It's not a good look. I have seen it being cooked on video before, and it definitely had cravy or soup...

I understand that my initial review was based on my honest opinion at the time, and I found the food to be quite salty. However, I plan to do another review on the oil down, considering that, as you mentioned, I may not have tried it from the best source. Additionally, there are people who have offered to personally cook it for me, so there's another review in the works. Thank you for your comment.
