Finally- someone on TH-cam is finally opening up one of their # 10 cans of emergency food. I never thought to see the day! Thank you!

I’m buying for daily, long term use…it honestly didn’t occur to me to use for prepping until this video trying to find a brand with a bigger jar. I’m glad someone opened it too lol

If you're not concerned with the fat content, you can also use any neutral oil to make the powdered peanut butter. I've made it with avocado oil, and it's exactly like regular peanut butter.

Thank you again for sacrificing one of you long term preps so we can see it. I love these tests.

Powdered peanut butter is a backpackers friend so it will surely make an Apocalypse easier to deal with. This magical substance is not just for sandwiches.
With some curry spice, chickpeas, vegetables, and peanut butter powder you have a Thai inspired dish that makes any kind of rice delicious. We prefer Basmati rice and a can of Dollar Tree coconut milk in the curry, but it's not necessary.
Peanut butter powder adds protein to soups, stews, chili, pancakes, bread, and veggie burgers. It's an interesting addition to ramen noodles, teriyaki sauce, fried rice, gravy, brownies, cakes, and more.

I haven't tried this, but it might taste better if you reconstituted with neutral oil instead of water. Peanut butter powder is made by removing fat, and when you add in water you've added a different liquid than is supposed to be there.

That is good stuff to keep around. Regular peanut butter is good for a few years, but not real long term. This is good powder, but I think regular price $27 is crazy. I got a few cans for $15 each, I think that was a fair deal.

Maybe the best use for this pb powder would be in African peanutbutter soup or in the sauce of various Indian dishes.

      Could be exceptions

Nice video. I'm not sure I believe your daughter, while you said it's good she was trying not to make a face, lol. Definitely some uncertainty there. It's probably like most freeze dried products in that it's good enough but you need a bite or two to get there. Thanks for the video review!

That's why we said we rate it as average. Not the worst but definitely not the best. Thanks for watching!

@@TheCookFamilyHomestead So if you were hungry it would work even though you like your regular brands better. That is fair.

@@TheCookFamilyHomestead Thank you so much for testing the peanut butter! If it's average...can you name the dried brands you think are better?

No trans fats...that's worth it being a little salty right there.
