I don't care how mean she was, he shouldn't have killed her. He could have left. He could have told her that he was going to the store or something and left.
I do want to add that wealthy elderly people owe nothing to a family who didn't appreciate them while they were living. Your absence is why they're vulnerable to be exploited financially in the first place. If they're old and alone and someone comes in who treats them with respect and they're happy and taken care of in their final years if they choose to change their will and leave something AND/OR EVERYTHING to their companion that's their business. I don't care if the companion was there for the money, as long as they were happy that's all that matters.

@@1927su I can agree with you on that part. I have survived an abusive relationship so I can definitely understand how hard it is. I just find it hard to believe that this was the case for Bernie. For example, even tho your husband was a big man that was still also his father. No matter the age it’s still the father/son dynamic at play. With Bernie he seen dollar signs and benefited. She might have held the money over his head, but if that wasn’t his motive he couldn’t have been trapped in that spell.

Tons of elderly people are left by their family because they were not good to their relatives. It's extremely common. It's also common for older men to become very perverted and abuse nurses, aids, and even family in some cases, so..... While I'd never abandon my parents, they've been good to me. My grandma however has been abusive to her own kids and some of her grandkids forever. And I mean, she and her husband who died the year I was born, were horrifically abusive. Major abuse.

The granddaughters don’t seem genuine…it’s my intuition…they don’t call her Mimi or mama or anything, it’s very distancing language.
That lady wasn’t a fool. She probably knew that man was fully gay, but he also lives in a small town and he had the time and capacity to be her companion.

A killer is a killer. They wanted the perks of the lives they knew. They didn't think of leaving, going away, and starting over. They weren't trapped except by their desire to keep the lifestyle... which doesn't qualify as 'being trapped' at all. - Just spoiled and greedy.
When you are being abused while you are poor and isolated, with nowhere to go, then you are trapped. And yet, we never killed our parents, even with guns all around us
    These guys are just killers.

The granddaughters should've visited granny and spent time with her like Bernie did. If she was such a nice, great granny, then why wouldn't they spend time with her? To me, it seemed like the granddaughters were upset because Bernie spent "their inheritance."

I’ve held out my opinion on those two boys until after watching them numerous times on various platforms. I don’t believe a word they’ve said in their defense. Which is hard for me because I want to believe victims of sexual abuse, but I don’t with them. When you’ve been abused, there’s a level of emotion and trauma that can’t be faked and their accounts came off incredibly disingenuous. What I’ve noticed with people who falsely claim sexual abuse, is they make the assault so extreme it’s jaw dropping. And it’s not true. They did that here, as did many other false accusers (MJ for example). That, along with their lack of genuine emotion, and the timing of when they brought this “abuse” up just don’t sit right with me. I also think their cousins were lying to gain monetarily. All of it is so gross too! They murdered their parents for their money, then throw dirt on their reputations with these claims. It’s repulsive! There’s not much more I can’t stand than a liar, and someone who lies about sexual abuse gets zero pity from me. Or trust. These two are where they belong.

Bernie made a wrong choice because he felt trapped & didn’t want to disappoint her, imo he is a very good hearted man. Those sisters hardly saw their grandmother! With Alcala one pic when he is real old looks like Manson! Ugh! It is so heartbreaking the young lives known he took, but the ones unknown were individuals, lives with meaning too & may never have their remains found. Just so horrible. Not sure about the Menendez brothers, I do feel the father was SA, probably very strict too. Really do not feel they should have shot the Mom. Was such a horrific scene these guys did. But 34 years is all their young years gone. Don’t feel they are dangerous to society. I do think they were very ignorant afterwards, spending a lot of money was not smart. They should have tried to do a plea deal & pleaded guilty to manslaughter after first trial. I was 28 & visiting family in San Diego @the time the shooting happened.
