Absolutely disgusting, her poor family His manipulative little innocent boy act doesn't wash with me. Everyone involved in that film should be ashamed. He's a dangerous man.
All those men idolising a man who murdered an old lady make me sick. The excuse of 'but she was so mean' is such nonsense. He helped isolate her from her family, took her money and murdered her. Pure evil to still be playing a victim.
The mistake they both made was the hiring. She became a superior and he became a subordinate. Bringing business into a friendship is a death knell for a friendship. I think he killed her because he was about to get exposed for theft. Those grandchildren are pure money hungry greedy garbage.
A killer is a killer. They wanted the perks of the lives they knew. They didn't think of leaving, going away, and starting over. They weren't trapped except by their desire to keep the lifestyle... which doesn't qualify as 'being trapped' at all. - Just spoiled and greedy. When you are being abused while you are poor and isolated, with nowhere to go, then you are trapped. And yet, we never killed our parents, even with guns all around us These guys are just killers.
Strange how everyone is upset at the granddaughters. They should have visited her more for sure, but this man KILLED HER and hide her body. He could have been the sweetest man in the world, but he is still a killer. Im sure the granddaughters are living with a lot of guilt to this day over not visiting her more.
People are upset at the granddaughters AS WELL AS Bernie. Bernie killed granny and hid her body and went about his life like nothing was wrong. He is a monster. The granddaughters should've visited granny and spent time with her like Bernie did. If she was such a nice, great granny, then why wouldn't they spend time with her? To me, it seemed like the granddaughters were upset because Bernie spent "their inheritance."
He was NOT “the nicest man”. He’s an egoistical cold-blooded psychopath, playing a harmless little lamb. Exploiting an old widow’s emotions in a such despicable way is truly horrendous. I won’t be surprised if he’s not even gay and never was abused in his childhood. He acts like a spoiled brat conning everyone around him.
I’ve held out my opinion on those two boys until after watching them numerous times on various platforms. I don’t believe a word they’ve said in their defense. Which is hard for me because I want to believe victims of sexual abuse, but I don’t with them. When you’ve been abused, there’s a level of emotion and trauma that can’t be faked and their accounts came off incredibly disingenuous. What I’ve noticed with people who falsely claim sexual abuse, is they make the assault so extreme it’s jaw dropping. And it’s not true. They did that here, as did many other false accusers (MJ for example). That, along with their lack of genuine emotion, and the timing of when they brought this “abuse” up just don’t sit right with me. I also think their cousins were lying to gain monetarily. All of it is so gross too! They murdered their parents for their money, then throw dirt on their reputations with these claims. It’s repulsive! There’s not much more I can’t stand than a liar, and someone who lies about sexual abuse gets zero pity from me. Or trust. These two are where they belong.
The granddaughters are laughable at best. Their facial expressions don't show that they loved their grandmother. Very false. No tears. I think they loved her money more.
Why didn't Lyle or Eric Mendes ever say anything to a school teacher a school counselor a principal a preacher or themselves called CPS from where I understand that there is no record of abuse except a letter to a cousin but no official record
Those 3 are mad because the grandma didn’t left them anything. If they would have care, first and foremost you wouldn’t let a person 42 years old younger take her to trips. Bernie took care of her, and he was the only one there for her, even if she was a wltch to take care of. Those 3 are 🐍🐍🐍

That's true, but also these programs have an agenda too. Maybe they didn't search for her friends very much. But it could also be true that she didn't have friends, and that's why she needed Bernie. Bernie made a wrong choice because he felt trapped & didn’t want to disappoint her, imo he is a very good hearted man. Those sisters hardly saw their grandmother! With Alcala one pic when he is real old looks like Manson! Ugh! It is so heartbreaking the young lives known he took, but the ones unknown were individuals, lives with meaning too & may never have their remains found. Just so horrible. Not sure about the Menendez brothers, I do feel the father was SA, probably very strict too. Really do not feel they should have shot the Mom. Was such a horrific scene these guys did. But 34 years is all their young years gone. Don’t feel they are dangerous to society. I do think they were very ignorant afterwards, spending a lot of money was not smart. They should have tried to do a plea deal & pleaded guilty to manslaughter after first trial. I was 28 & visiting family in San Diego @the time the shooting happened.

Whether he is a good person is debatable but these grandchildren or their parents should have been looking after her. Plus its interesting how everyone else saw her mean streak except them. Lmaooooo
@@dragonfly7729They didn't care about grandma as much as the occasion demanded... a lot of grandchildren (and children) kind of just pretend to care about the elderly and only need to show that at the funeral for everybody to see.
The Granddaughter's only were concerned about the money
Everything about those granddaughters is wrong. I bet they visited 1 time a year, if THAT
They said once in three years!! The granddaughter said it!!
I agree
Can you blame them?😂😂That woman was insufferable
Seem very involved now but at the time... It looks like they didn't spend long periods of time.
So what? What does that matter?
Why did they wait so long to see what was going on? The family.
They did not care
What's funny is Margie's family wasn't around for her, so they know nothing. They're upset that when she passes they didn't get something specific that they wanted
Exactly. Bernie shouldn't have killed her, but her nieces are obviously not telling the truth.
They probably remember her fondly for gifting them money often
Agree, her greedy granddaughters are frauds in this story too.
She’s never been very nice that is the reason family wasn’t around.
You don't know the details, so don't assume
It's amazing how some killers like this scumbag still don't admit to what they've done, they actually believe they are innocent when in fact, they are so guilty. It's unbelievable. At least some serial killers admitted their crimes and take their punishment but someone like this? For him to keep appealing, and pretending that he's just another innocent person wrongly convicted?? You should never see again, never again for what he's done.
He is killer and nothing alse matter
nothing else matters*
That’s why he in prison
@@lorishu48103 I think OP's commenting that people are focusing on demonizing the grandchildren, not Bernie
@ ok that makes sense now
Good people do horrible things every day. It's part of our sinful nature. Jack and Art are so gullible. Cmon now. I don't care if Margorie was a difficult person. The fact is he stole her money, shot her in the back and disposed of her body in a freezer and didn't tell a soul.
Jack and Art are liberals. That explains it.
You should absolutely watch the movie, Bernie. Not for the true crime factor, it’s just a really good movie. You will still enjoy it even though you know what happens.
@@alyross3081 Yes! Jack Black is awesome in that movie!
I saw it..very enjoyable movie. I laughed a lot at the townsfolk. And Jack did amazingly awesome!
I think the Menendez brothers should be immediately released. I believe the member of Menudo and the cousin!
The granddaughters don’t seem genuine…it’s my intuition…they don’t call her Mimi or mama or anything, it’s very distancing language.
That lady wasn’t a fool. She probably knew that man was fully gay, but he also lives in a small town and he had the time and capacity to be her companion.
*comment made 21 mins in*
God Bless that Good Samaritan with the awareness & willingness to follow up on the 8yr old girl being followed in a (Acala’s) car while walking down a public street & suspiciously ushered into a car🙏
Yes. I hope more people will call the police if they see something like this. RIP to all the victims. It breaks my heart that there are so many unidentified victims😢
Absolutely disgusting, her poor family
His manipulative little innocent boy act doesn't wash with me.
Prosecutor, hands down...👏👏🧐🤔😬😬😬 I just can'tbelieve those ppl, who defended him instead stand up for woman, that was part of they're Community...
The mistake they both made was the hiring. She became a superior and he became a subordinate. Bringing business into a friendship is a death knell for a friendship. I think he killed her because he was about to get exposed for theft. Those grandchildren are pure money hungry greedy garbage.
Yeah literally no one in this is a good person
Nice doesn't mean good. Sure, he's polite-but he's still a murderer and a thief.
he’s a thief and a murderer. what’s wrong with these people
A killer is a killer.
And yet, we never killed our parents, even with guns all around us
These guys are just killers.
Strange how everyone is upset at the granddaughters. They should have visited her more for sure, but this man KILLED HER and hide her body. He could have been the sweetest man in the world, but he is still a killer.
Im sure the granddaughters are living with a lot of guilt to this day over not visiting her more.
They don't care there primary concern was her green
As was his.... @@slinkiegirl2001
Kids are taught to do that nowadays. Back then things like this weren’t talked about.
Nobody talked about abuse then. We didn’t even say “mental health” or “sexual abuse.”
Marjorie's family didn't see her for a number of years and they wonder why they were not in the will?!?
He is a great actor!!!
He is definitely guilty. But I think her grandkids only care about not being in the will not really about her death.
He is a cold blooded murderer. This was disgraceful!!
This Alcala guy was so creepy
Wow. This is was a slanted view of the story. I feel so bad for her family.
I might be wrong but I just can't contain my observations just 20 minutes in. I don't like the granddaughters. They rub me the wrong way
Looks as if the granddaughters and their mom enjoyed eating also. My goodness, and they wonder why they have multiple health problems.
Jody the appeal lawyer only saw money in this.Another greedy devil
Nope, he's "not danger to Society", I think hes danger "only" to his friends...
Danger to elderly people with dementia.
Only rich friends!
Richard Linklater is one of my favorite directors. He did Dazed and Confused and Boyhood. Two of my favorite movies.
Great! So he’s talented. But still has no clue.
@ yep
Those 3 are mad because the grandma didn’t left them anything. If they would have care, first and foremost you wouldn’t let a person 42 years old younger take her to trips. Bernie took care of her, and he was the only one there for her, even if she was a wltch to take care of. Those 3 are 🐍🐍🐍
Idk, they were in college when all this was going on. Their mother should have checked on her own mom more too.
This dude takes advantage of this woman, using her. Saying he loved her when all he was doing was using her.
If the gender roles were reversed, you commenters would be singing a WAY different tune.
Misogyny in 2024. I thought we'd have overcome this by now.
Marjorie used Bernie also. No one else wanted to spend time with her and Bernie was available. She used him every minute of every day.
@@terryKessler42719
She didn't 'use' him. She PAID him for his time.
That's not 'using'. That's 'Employing'.
He could have left his employer at any time, just like any other employee at any other job.
Take your misogyny elsewhere. It doesn't look good in this room.
The dude murdered her so he could steal her money.
I think the family is bitter abut not getting any inheritance. Obviously.
You can just feel Bernies kind soul. Those granddaughters give off entitled karen vibes..from the moment i saw them
He admitted to murdering her.
Convicts should not have the right to fraternize with movie moguls.
I’m sorry, but those granddaughters are full of it.
It’s the LOVE Of money that Is the root of all evil!
If he's so bad then WHY ARE THE GRAND DAUGHTERS THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN SAY ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS WOMAN.
#FreeBernie
They started caring about her after she died, not when she was alive.
That's true, but also these programs have an agenda too. Maybe they didn't search for her friends very much. But it could also be true that she didn't have friends, and that's why she needed Bernie. People loved Bernie, but he was generous with HER money, not his. He appears very likeable, but keep in mind he didn't befriend a poor window, but a rich one who gave him a life he'd never could have had without her.
“Free Bernie” he’s free, first of all. And secondly, who cares if she was cruel? He’s worse. He KILLED AN ELDER WOMAN BY SHOOTING HER IN THE BACK FOUR TIMES. Get. A. Grip.
TF? He killed an elderly lady and stuffed her in the freezer. He conned you. Maybe he can be your caregiver since u like him so much. Just be sure to defrost your freezer before he moves in. 😉
What a waste of tax dollars to give acala new trials
Marjorie probably felt that she could treat Bernie however she liked as she was paying him. On the other hand, he should have known her family would contest the will.
first case - he lies, lies and lies. it's obvious to me from the sound of his voice. I'm so glad he got life in prison. he totally deserved it!
There is just no justice to be found in CA. That is shameful.
Like that little old lady could abuse him. He should have gone home and stayed there. They where not married or related. He did not have to be in her home to be abused.i Instead he killed her stuffed her in a freezer and continued spending her money from his home. This is disgusting.. Master manipulator. He went to her home. She did not go to his. He enjoyed her money.
If the Granddaughter's were in her everyday life, this guy would NOT have been able to do this. They just want the money😢😢😢
Those Menendez brothers should be free
Why ????😂
Although i dont buy his defence story i also dont buy the poor loe granma" more like poor ole bank balance
21:15 Wow, what an awful acting, Jack BIack... it looks like you're mocking her.
And her granddaughters should've been there for Marjorie, you have no idea how lonely elderly people can feel... that's why so many of them were/are depressed and maybe she wasn't "brainwashed" and she did like that guy more than you.
The 3 granddaughters sound angry for not getting money from granny.
You just got to love the so called family that comes around once every couple of years and think they know anything about you and your life 😂 Her family was only going there in hopes of getting something when she passed. They didn’t even know her real personality 😢
funny uncles never admit to being funny
Great video ❤
BS. And I suppose the adult Menendez brothers could not have walked away.
Many of you will be deceived as ONLY the Holy Spirit of God gives discernment.
You don't spend TIME with building a relationship with God.
I just want to point out that victims of sexual abuse find it very difficult to tell people about it, especially at the time this case occurred.
Sometimes Juries do get it right . . . GOD BLESS ALL 4 I AM THE SHED ! ! ! ! !
So.... it sounds like the granddaughters only visit grandma 2-3 times within 9 years? No wonder grandma is saying " I don't know you"
Hollyweird for sure!
Brothers .... no respect for these 😢
This is bs he was there for the money and he knows how to fool people, it’s disgusting to see people empathize with him after what he did and call him nice 😡 no he is a manipulator that take advantage of vulnerable people he targets people he can manipulate.
The "grand daughter's are just mad they didn't get all that $. They are awful & negligent grand daughter's.
You take it personally not take it personal.
Lyle menendez …… sorry you should stay in jail to the end of your days….period
Typical of Hollywood putting an evil monster on a pedestal
It’s so offensive.
Jus't makes me sick hearing those lame hollywood/small town excuses, only in America. This dude is straight horror. We talkin' about grown a** man, who male his choice and bet "it was hard to leave"...and left inheritance, right? 😁
That much also of those who made this movie. I wonder what else they "left out" in other "real story" movies. Thats why I choose 48 hours and not movies 😊
So she decided to give him EVERYTHING and NOT to her grandchildren that she loved so dearly 😮😢. Welll🤔

I went online and sad of how many women have still been unidentified from the photographs found in Rodney Alcala’s locker. May his victims rest in peace. He was a monster. I was happy to read that in died July 24,2021. I hope he’s burning in hell.
This was the first comment I've seen talking about it. Thank you.
So much judgement/ opinion from people who have never been abused
My ex raped me to the point I've bled in multiple places and had infections. I've had my head bounced against the floor, picked up by my throat.. I was married and in the els church so everyone thought he was great and I was the issue, the evil woman is the issue.... There's so much in these comments that just....idk. I feel so bad for the victims. I think if I had not been so careful, if my escape wasn't assisted by my friend and by my therapist, I think I would be dead. I think his rage, and how important his reputation is to him, and his ego, and how little care he had for my life, I believe he'd have killed me. And so do others that have dealt with other violent male spouses. And so many people who don't understand abuse are saying an awful lot of things. :/
If it had not been for the lady who saw her abduction and followed the psycho the cop wouldn't have found her.
I can't believe this animal died of natural causes!!!!!
Bernie has a lovely voice I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses and the voice I hear falling
I don't believe shady, Bernie. For 1 second, who on earth goes and visits old rich widows, pretending to check on them?? This guy had a con from day one and she lavished him with money and gifts and I don't know what and where the hell were those 3 piglet granddaughters who didn't know anything until a significant time later?? This guy had moved in fully with Grandma that tells me they weren't In grandma's life at all, they all should be ashamed of themselves. And don't get me started on that stupid director trying to justify, oh, he's a nice guy, and these idiots that are rooting for him. Nice people don't shoot old ladies 4 times in the back and then stuff them in a freezer and continue to spend millions of dollars of their money like that's so messed up. I truly believe that Bernie thought he could just charm his way. Out of going to jail
Whether he is a good person is debatable but these grandchildren or their parents should have been looking after her. Plus its interesting how everyone else saw her mean streak except them. It seems to me that everyone was motivated by money. How the hell does weeks go by without anyone hearing from her? Just sad.
In my opinion, the three granddaughters wanted Marjorie’s money. Bernie was someone who was so kind he couldn’t hurt her with words. Marjorie used and abused Bernie and her grandchildren were jealous. Marjorie was generous with her grandchildren, but they didn’t know her to be abusive, of course not, she wouldn’t show them her mean and sadistic side, they only knew her as grandma. This is so bad for Bernie and I’m behind him 100%.
Why did he use such a long rifle and not a hand gun?
I think that old lady was eccentric and controlling. She was use to getting what she wanted at all costs. She bought people and held it over them when being demanding. Her family was no better.
Him claiming to be gay gave him lots of points. No way Hollywood would go this far to defend a straight dude.
Do you ever find yourself watching a show you already watched over again, even if it was fairly recently? No? Just me? 🤷🏻♀️😭
why is the killing glamorized ?
STOP glorifying Bernie Hollywood style!
