I'm not a gamer, I don't like any other games but I've only played Zelda in my whole life and I love it, and respect it because there's a beautiful story behind it and the music is just the best, the legend of Zelda has really become a legendary game
I know, she did look kind of silly. However, there was purpose to her spinning her instrument. When you breathe into a brass instrument, moisture from your breath condenses and begins to fill the pipes. She was spinning her horn to let the liquid drip out.
this is bad ass. Amazing music and really neat to see the pro musicans out there play these scores. Keep it coming, and if u come to concert near me, I will be there.
If I could ever find the music for this within the next couple of years, I'd love to have my Wind Symphony at college play this. There's waaaay too many video game nerds that want to teach music that would not pass up an opportunity to play this.
I love Koji's music. It's nice to see it in a form outside of the games. Not that the in-game instruments are too bothersome, but there's a certain quality to real instruments that you just can't touch on a computer. You know?
I think those are for the zelda fans who aren't really classical music fans/know a lot about music. And when I say that, I'm not trying to be condescending - people who have played a lot of music in groups actually hear more of what is going on than the average listener. Learning to hear what other people are playing while you are playing which helps you keep in time with the group and cue you when to come in does this. Plenty of non-musicians who just like complex music have the same skill.
@terrivel11 Something that often happens is that, instead of having a dedicated piccolo specialist, flutists will play both instruments in different segments. In a similar fashion, oboists at times also have to play the english horn (cor anglais) in a piece or another.
In a band(well most professional bands i believe), the instrumentalists would look at the conductor, or guy waving his arms as you call, they firstly get use to the piece through practise then check the GUY WAVING HIS ARMS for accents or any dynamics, crescendo or descendo needed -.-
@hsurbon The sound quality is amazing. What are you talking about. If you listened to this type of music more often, you'd know it's definitely not an uncommon thing to hear the orchestra go softer and then louder. Maybe it's your speakers distorting the sound though, you should get that checked out. If not, just stop listening to this all together and help us some.
I was there! ^___^ I'm not sure if they played the encore for you guys, couldn't fully understand the german but I hope you got to hear it. It was pretty awesome. I loved the Donkey Kong Country arrangement before this though... the Zelda arrangements were the best though, no doubt.
@Taigitsune It isn't supposed to be a straight medley of the pieces. It's a tone poem based around them. I actually like this better. We've heard all of these melodies in their original forms enough. It's nice to see some re-interpretation of them.
@Vevictonn It seems that it is. I mean, the more I watch videos like these, the more I see guys playing flutes, which IS fairly common, but until now, I hadn't seen a guy playing piccolo, and I watch a LOT of performances from professional groups. Considering I only play in my high school band, and I'm only one of two guy flutes I know, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
@terrivel11 From what I've read, they're quite similar in use, but their ranges are different, and their fingering is probably (entirely) different as well. There's a bunch of other instruments in the oboe family as well, like the oboe d'amore which was used in many baroque pieces, and it's very likely different as well. I'm no authority in the instrument family, as you can see, but I've done a bit of reading on them.
People who complain don't appreciate the music, just the game that it's from. That's why I enjoy this concert. As @n8dogg87 said, someone actually did something artistic with it for once.
Yeah, I must have been around 12 when I first played it. I had to get my brother to get me past the first water level because I couldn't even do that. Then we both got stuck in the water temple. I played it again when I was 15 or so and got through easily. I think it was hard because of how unlinear it is, most of it takes place in one room so it's easy to lose track of your progress if you're not paying attention.
@Valdrix9779 They like Justin Beiber... or just haven't realized that in the description it says "SYMPHONIC POEM", meaning it won't be exactly like what they've heard from the video games, but with slight variations to evoke different images that I bet even those five could see if they bothered learning what descriptions are used for.
i play CoD, but i am a Nintendo fan. I love Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Star Fox. I officially now have all the good LoZ games. the bad ones are the CD-i ones.
@FearlessSpinner what are you talking about? I mean they played the main theme from Windwaker at the end... and that 3 melodies were great cause every single one of them had an own style. and sounded different. Okay I really missed a song from MM... but well... thx for uploading
1:22 A smile instantly made its way onto my face.
I love the Legend of Zelda Music to BITS
I'm not a gamer, I don't like any other games but I've only played Zelda in my whole life and I love it, and respect it because there's a beautiful story behind it and the music is just the best, the legend of Zelda has really become a legendary game

I shed a tear........of joy....
Link would be so emotionally moved at the sound of this he would actually speak.
I know, she did look kind of silly. However, there was purpose to her spinning her instrument. When you breathe into a brass instrument, moisture from your breath condenses and begins to fill the pipes. She was spinning her horn to let the liquid drip out.

This is so great. I love the arts so much. And beautiful music from my bittersweet childhood memories really hits home :')
Beautiful, Excelent, Wonderful, just Zelda.
My God this Concert was beautiful!
And people tell me that video games rot your brain. Without video games, masterpieces such as this could not have been produced.
i've taken a three month break from zelda...but ah! this has really tempted me to play again
My god my eyes were full of water after hearing this
AM I HEARING MORE THAN ONE FRENCH HORN PLAYING INTUNE AT THE SAME TIME AHHHHH (DIES)
I was stuck for soooo long in that sob.
you are very honorable for admitting that you are not a gamer because you've played one game. I applaud you.
I Love this just picture playing the game ^^
One of the most epic things i´ve ever heard!

I believe the technical term is 'conductor' and they are the driving force of any orchestra.
Ah...I always loved this!
2:00 Beautiful Clarinet SONG!!! IT's great!!
Oh My god that was EPIC!!
@oODatenshiOo As an encore but it was truly worth being in the suite!
In a band(well most professional bands i believe), the instrumentalists would look at the conductor, or guy waving his arms as you call, they firstly get use to the piece through practise then check the GUY WAVING HIS ARMS for accents or any dynamics, crescendo or descendo needed -.-
YES!! I'VE WAITED FOR THIS!!!
I dare you(DARE YOU)not to be overwhelmed with tears!
this first song has to be the title theme, if there is ever going to be a zelda movie
THIS .. IS .. EPIC!
"I am an old man and this cave is my home..."
i love how they classify it as a legend XD
2:00 goosebumps and nostalgia at its best!
effin A! zelda is my favorite of all time i fuckin love theese guys!
@hsurbon The sound quality is amazing. What are you talking about. If you listened to this type of music more often, you'd know it's definitely not an uncommon thing to hear the orchestra go softer and then louder.

I guess most of the musicians never played zelda,
but i´m sure they feel how Awesome it is !! :D
se los voy a recomendar a todos
I was there! ^___^
I'm not sure if they played the encore for you guys, couldn't fully understand the german but I hope you got to hear it. It was pretty awesome. I loved the Donkey Kong Country arrangement before this though... the Zelda arrangements were the best though, no doubt.
Soo cool!
@nazaruh the fingering is very similar, but the oboe is in C, and the Cor Anglais is in F
@Taigitsune
It isn't supposed to be a straight medley of the pieces. It's a tone poem based around them.
I actually like this better. We've heard all of these melodies in their original forms enough. It's nice to see some re-interpretation of them.
As if being in a symphony was fucking awesome already!!!!!!!!!
I hope "Zelda Skyword Sword" will have this kind of orchestral music!
Very very cool. Very John Williams-like.
6:07 now that's how zelda music is supposed to be, totally reminded me of kokiri forest
@Vevictonn It seems that it is. I mean, the more I watch videos like these, the more I see guys playing flutes, which IS fairly common, but until now, I hadn't seen a guy playing piccolo, and I watch a LOT of performances from professional groups. very beautyful
Wish I was there.
somehow, listening to this while watching abdc, the music fit quite well into ICONic boyz and I aM Me in a dance off.
Looks like Prokofiev conducting, haha =)
I really enjoyed watching this video
4:00
Pure talent.
damn water temple, i was stuck there in 3 years...
@terrivel11 From what I've read, they're quite similar in use, but their ranges are different, and their fingering is probably (entirely) different as well. I feel they really captured the feel of Kokiri forest, childish by nature(no pun intended)
MOST.EPIC.MUSIC.EVER.
when i heard the first break of the zelda tingaling, i was throwing my NES out of the window :D
People who complain don't appreciate the music, just the game that it's from.
That's why I enjoy this concert. As @n8dogg87 said, someone actually did something artistic with it for once.

@2:10, its Owen Wilson jamming on the clarinet!
awesome! but it reminds me a little bit of starwars... thumbs up! great piece!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! XD
LIVE ON ZELDA MUSIC!!!!!!
SUPER...!!!
i cant breathe .
Oh look, Link is playing the clarinet, if you look closely enough. God, he's grown so much since I last saw him.
Damn rights water temple :D Imma go play zelda now.. Cya
i play CoD, but i am a Nintendo fan. I love Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Star Fox. I officially now have all the good LoZ games. the bad ones are the CD-i ones.
WOW ME ENCANTO!!! *o*
@Viertel I couldn't agree more.
I'd like my orchestra director to have us play stuff like this =(

Lo amé! ♥
@TheJazz2002 and at 2:10 James Cameron plays the clarinet!
muito bom mesmo!!!!!!!!
Llevando a Zelda al punto más alto de la naquez...
i wish there was a love button
The seven people who disliked this wanted their face to be the greatest in Korodai.
This SO rules!
LOVE
@FearlessSpinner
what are you talking about? I mean they played the main theme from Windwaker at the end... and that 3 melodies were great cause every single one of them had an own style. and sounded different. Okay I really missed a song from MM... but well...
thx for uploading
They should put this music in the games.
@MBlueFlame yep!
