Just returned my 2015 QX60 for the new 2018 QX60 and love the new features and power. Looked at the other SUV's with 3rd row, but could not justify spending 10k to 15k more for the same options I could get with Infiniti.
I have a Q50 myself and I find the Jatco 7 speed transmission to be great for my driving pleasure. Sure, it's not gonna be fast as a dual clutch but I'm still ok with it. Though I want to say that Jatco should probably update it because the design is about 10 years old now but the company seems to lean more towards CVT technology.
Meng Vang - I agree. The 7AT is very reliable and does very well in most instances, and buttery smooth in daily operation. But with newcomers like the GenII ZF 8HP, GM/Ford 10AT, and great updates from cross-country rival Aisin in it's 8AT, Jatco needs go get on with a new design. Even Honda is rolling out a 10spd in-house. CVTs do well in things like a Sentra and Altima, but luxury utes like the QX60 need a proper stepped-auto box. That was the reason Audi, the last automaker to offer one, abandoned CVTs.
Not only that, but the power output (like in the '17 Acura MDX vs. the '17 Honda Pilot, t put it in perspective...) is ALMOST THE SAME IN BOTH BRANDS. So you could " $ave a lotta moola" by choosing a Pathfinder Platinum (or even a lesser model, like an SL) over this QX60, since Nissan hasn't proved Infiniti is really worth buying over the mass-market brand.
WRONG MODEL! The British (US-spec models are imported from UK) rebadge of Mercedes' GLA-Series "raised hatchback" is the SMALLER Infiniti Q30 / QX30, powered by D-B's range of FWD-based ~ 2.0L I4's. The Pathfinder is now a 3-ROW LARGE CROSSOVER SUV powered by either a NA-V6 or a T-I4 gas / petrol hybrid combo.
My current car is a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze w 137K miles that is leaking a little tiny bit of oil and has a few flaws. I have never owned a nicer luxury car. I received an inheritance after my mom died, and I needed a car to retire in. We were looking at some used Nissan Rogues. The Nissan Rogue has a 1.5L , 3 Cyl., or the Rogue S has a 2.0L, 4 Cyl. The seats of the S model were worse to us than the regular model. I have rented these, and the 2.0 Sport Engine does drive better. The 2020 had 23K miles, and they wanted 15% off the original MSRP. Then we saw the 2017 QX60 on the lot, the car had 66K miles, and they wanted 60% off the original MSRP. We are going from CA to GA, and we just knew this was the car for us. If I get 250K on this car, driving it 8K per year, it will last me until I am 96 years old. 😂. The QX60 was $3k less than the Rogue S we looked at.
if you review a car you should do it right....you just sat in the middle row seat...why don't you sit in it while the car is in motion? The seat shakes/vibrates. All QX60s and Pathfinders do. You should update your findings.
The QX60 may be quicker, but it is still FWD and has a CVT. I love Infiniti, but the QX60 does not fit the brand's philosophy. The Acura MDX is a far better performer, and this is coming from an Infiniti guy.
Mitul Jariwala tbh when your buying a car like this do you expect it to have sports car speed NO it's a family daily driver you won't take this to a track or try to drag race it
The JX35 was one of your favorite "luxury" 3 row crossovers? Yikes. My sister has one and absolutely nothing about it is special, but the CVT is horrendous and just unforgivable even if you'd consider it entry-luxury.
If they call the infotainment system functional I would hate to see what they would call a really bad one. Maybe fabulous? QX35, my wife's car. I hate driving it, it's slow, uses way to much gas for a V6 and the CVT is horrible. The car is a pig. Why not talk about the noisy power steering pump issue that plagues this and the Pathfinder? Terrible SUV Crossover. Oh yea, and you have to remove the right side front wheel to change the oil and remove the inner wheel well liner.
Yea, just like the Honda Pilot (a slightly rearranged Odyssey LWB minivan) in the Pathfinder's market niche... If the Acura MDX also looked slighly minivan ish, then that's the answer...
How the hell can they even think of comparing that shitty interior with the likes of the Lexus RX and Acura MDX.... hell its even boring then the BMW X5.
Its a personal choice.... but I dont care for it as much as the Lexus RX. But your right, it could be much worse. I do think its a good car but wouldnt rank it against some of the other competitiors in my own opinion anyways.
Still running strong with this unit in 2024 ,good vehicle

This vehicle is awesome. It's moving up in my list really fast. Wonder what the 2018 models will look like.
The Jatco 7 speed auto, used in countless other Infiniti vehicles was an excellent transmission and should have found a home in this vehicle.
Gerald G Not certain it'll work for FWD apps though. But yeah,it does wonders for the Q50.
My mistake. For some reason I thought the QX60 was built on a rear-drive platform but you're correct!

Anyone else notice they are reviewing the Infiniti and in the headrest screens they had an Acura NSX:)
Because this car sucks owner satisfaction wise and competition wise lol
This is awesome a steal for its price
This vehicle definitely has my attention. @Infiniti good job.
It’s a pathfinder underneath and it may not show at all in styling but shows everywhere else
I looked at one today and loved it
the third row is spacecious for adult
Is this the Pathfinder??
e$$entially, it is! all you're paying for is the LUXO badge, and a few things different

TOYOTA/LEXUS, HONDA/ACURA, NISSAN/INFINITI, BMW/MINI, MERC BENZ/SMART, VW/AUDI/PORSCHE/
BENTLEY/LAMBORGHINI
the best thing NISSAN has done lately is Rebadge the Mercedes GLA is the "all new Infiniti QX30"
WRONG MODEL! The British (US-spec models are imported from UK) rebadge of Mercedes' GLA-Series "raised hatchback" is the SMALLER Infiniti Q30 / QX30, powered by D-B's range of FWD-based ~ 2.0L I4's.

Are They Still making the EX35? That was a sexy example
Mario Torrez Quant No it's called the QX50
Tks!
Infiniti is the only car maker. I can't just keep up with the names.
furiousgtz how q is for sedan, coupe and qx is for SUV and crossover

I'm not knocking you down Infiniti but for the love of God alot of people HATE CVT's!
Hawk Hawk thats what you think they would of changed it if it was damaging there sales
pathfinder luxury
To me, this looks like a full size SUV, not a crossover. I thought crossovers were a little larger than a sedan but smaller than a SUV.
Yeah, I'd call this a full size. I've not seen many, if any, crossovers with 3rd row seating.
There are many. Full size is Tahoe, Armada etc.
Crossover = built on car chassis
Full size = built on truck chassis
They should have been 295 HP from the get go................
if you review a car you should do it right....you just sat in the middle row seat...why don't you sit in it while the car is in motion? The seat shakes/vibrates. All QX60s and Pathfinders do. You should update your findings.
Infinitis 10 years ago were beautiful. This is merely OK.
QOOQ8808 nooo this is sexy

Armani89 right! like nissan is putting a cvt into infinitis now! at least the acura has a 9 speed auto which is better than a cvt
A 9 Speed auto might as well be a CVT with gears instead of a belt.
A Yates anything is better than nissan/infiniti cvts!!!
Mitul Jariwala tbh when your buying a car like this do you expect it to have sports car speed NO it's a family daily driver you won't take this to a track or try to drag race it
Which is better the QX 60 or the MDX Acura
my stepdad has this car on a lease.
Cool story bro, tell it again.............

Yea, just like the Honda Pilot (a slightly rearranged Odyssey LWB minivan) in the Pathfinder's market niche... If the Acura MDX also looked slighly minivan ish, then that's the answer...
Just an observation, you seem completely fucking uneducated.
Christopher Ovrebo is in suv no van
Stick to your trucks jumping around
just a dolled up Nissan Pathfinder
Suboptimus Lime juice
Nick Howell looks nothing like a Nissan Pathfinder in fact it looks way better and offers more luxury
romel 4life dude all Infiniti's are are just a bunch of dolled up Nissan's
Dolled up nissans that look completely different and have alot more power and better handling. Hints the sport luxury brand classification.
petty af
Burn it it's a Nissan
chad harmon why it's probably better than what you drive
wow...the interior is incredibly dated.
wow so original. it's a reliable functional setup.
Don't buy this Renault. You're just asking for reliability problems.
CVT... Yuck!
How the hell can they even think of comparing that shitty interior with the likes of the Lexus RX and Acura MDX.... hell its even boring then the BMW X5.
Jack of All Traits the interior is not shit it's classy and feels good have you ever been in a qx60 there is so much room
Its a personal choice.... but I dont care for it as much as the Lexus RX. But your right, it could be much worse. I do think its a good car but wouldnt rank it against some of the other competitiors in my own opinion anyways.
Jack of All Traits its not crap bmw hahaha that notorious brand
