I agree. Nothing pisses me off more than my distance driver. And of course it never gets lost
I love throwing my 14 speed Corvette 90m.... and also throwing my speed 9 Undertaker... 90m. Hmmm.... maybe Simon has a point.
I respect Simon for saying that, and super lame that Paul is thinking about marketing distance drivers to players who can't even use them properly just to sell another disc! Go Simon!

Every disc golfer has experienced a round like this with a friend who knows nothing about disc golf...
no issues with that... but there still has to be an amount of etiquette and with someone who plays golf and knows the rules of eitquette all too well there is no excuse. This wasn't Brodie's best moment.

Brodie is a gun ultimate frisbee player, like a lot of disc golfers. Stands to reason he would be good. He’s also normally a little more chill than this on his golf channel

To anyone else that came across this midway through 2020, just take a moment to recognize how much Brodie has improved in 8 months.
Not only in his disc golf ability but also his likability in camera. He takes things a lot more seriously now and doesn't lean on being the wild man with big reactions.
This video is kind of hard to watch. Reminds me of the ways I used to seek attention in high school.

These play around videos are THE MOST instructive. I appreciate all of Brodie's open conversation and questions to these world class golfers, just messing around, casually throwing around rules and tips. When it comes down to it, Brodie is SO GOOD at coaxing out great information, because you know he is trying to learn as much as he possibly can. He's trying to study like a pro, while goofing around at the same time. These videos are the best. :)

Tony S I think it was a bit of an act, he used to have some really helpful midrange mvp disc tutorials but they were all removed for some reason quite a few years back. I’m sure I’m thinking of the same guy, I was a newby at the time.

26:49-I love that they pretend a flop putt doesn't exist, because they're just that good.
Can't tell you how many times I've done a flop putt to make sure I didn't miss big. But every once in a while you still make it, haha.

I keep telling myself that, about 100 flicks that became accidental rollers later
I think the problem Brodie (and many other players) is having is that he's not following through into the line. He's focusing so much on the angle that it all stops there. I tell people all the time to "Power it through your release and follow through on the line you're wanting to hit". It clicks pretty well after a few shots of show and tell with that concept in mind.
This is why I love this game. Some of the biggest competitors still playing and having fun.
I love the idea of this video, but I'm not sure I can stomach Brodie Smith for a full 50 minutes

I've played both a bunch and it's awesome watching Brodie learn it. It definitely is more of a "flick" for an ultimate frisbee compared to a "forehand" for a disc.

This is amazing. I watch Brodie's trick shot videos as well as all things disc golf. Seeing two of my favorite players alongside a great ultimate player is really fun to watch, and the banter is just something else. 😂
Brodie needs to take a breath. He reminds me of my brother in law. I can only handle being around him for about 15 minutes before I have to take a "serenity now" minute.
He's literally unbearable. I made it two minutes in, fast forwarded to half an hour in, and abandoned the vid.
