    Thanks for hanging out with us today! Y’all go and check this site out and dig up some selenite crystals for yourself! Just remember to please fill in your holes and leave no trash! It would be great for this location to remain open for the generations!

      Yes we were in a rush to get out of town but would like to do a get together or a meet up for everyone to go out one day and fill-in a bunch of the holes there are already there.
      Yes Will is awesome, he did great job I heard too!

    That's amazing to dig out those selenite crystals, I have only seen it in wands. It's unbelievable that People want all the pleasure, but don't want to tidy up after them. They're only making it bad for others. Cool crystals bryan

    I am in awe of the texture of that clay, it looks so pure, like I can sculpt with it right out of the ground or use it as a face mask. I’ve never seen selenite in that shape before either. Very interesting!

  • @florinraresristea
    @florinraresristea 3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    That clay is more expensive than the crystals. Beauty industry is selling that for good money in small amounts. That clay și good for skin problems, joints, prevents further illnesses by making your imune system strong.

    • @TheCrystalCollector
      @TheCrystalCollector  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes you’re probably right, these crystals aren’t worth much but they are a lot of fun today! Yeah who knows what’s in this clay, with all of the salt deposits in gypsum etc

    Looking for Love, Bryan? I am here! In Sweden!! I just love watching your funny & interesting videos. You wear my favorite color Aquamarine and you have a dog, oh boy!!!!!-I was collecting rose quartz in Finland with my dear father when I was about 4-5 years old and I have been collecting minerals ever since. I have quartz crystals under my mattress and I keep some in my water pitcher, too. (I am certified crystal healer.) I dream about finding huge, beautifull crystals. -So, I am your girl, Bryan! Let´s at least meet in a dream.....could be nice!? Another thing: I bet that Utah clay is a healing clay! My grandfather had similar clay and he healed eczema with it!

    What a great day you and Dylan had and the other Diggers with their sports lol. Terry said as I dislike mud that's not the place for me lol but the crystals look so lovely when they are clean I think I wouldn't have worried when I was younger plus the gloves would keep my hands relatively clean lol. I totally agree that people should refill their holes, it's a beautiful place and the holes dont take long to fill, unless of course they are either not thinking or just plain lazy. I was surprised how thick some of the crystals are and the pieces that are joined, my favourite was the one that looks like a plane, I would keep that one Bryan and add it to your collection. Take care and stay safe please my friends God bless you all love and hugs to you Matrix and Dylan Mary-Ellen UK

    • @TheCrystalCollector
      @TheCrystalCollector  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah this is a really fun spot, but you have to find that really thick mud, that’s what the crystals grow in. I agree, if people don’t continue to fill in the holes, they might shut this location down for good, let’s hope not! Always great to hear from you!

    Hi Bryan, thank you for your enthousiastic videos ! This selenite is a form of Gypsum, right ? It forms quite rapidly. Are they fragile ? Once out of the mudsoil, do they change/dry out ?
    Thanks again for sharing your discoveries.

    • @TheCrystalCollector
      @TheCrystalCollector  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes unfortunately these dry out and crack along the fractures. You have to be very careful with him, but there has to be a way to stabilize, I haven’t tried much yet

      So, there is a table of evaporate minerals and the amount of seawater it takes before minerals precipitate out. Table salt fairly easily precipitates with very little water evaporated. Gypsum takes significantly more and limestone takes the most. Look for an evaporation table online

    The selenite crystals are super awesome, they remind me of fish scales, b ut I am wondering about the clay. Can it be harvested? I'd love to get some. Might make it hard to fill holes though...darn it. Oh well. Thanks for the adventure!

    Man, I was there in the spiral jetty a few years ago plugging an abandoned oil well that was spewing tar everywhere. I wish I would have known this was right there!
