Perunthalaivar K. Kamaraj, popularly known as the "Kingmaker"played an important role in pre and post-Independent politics in India. As the president of the Indian National Congress, he was instrumental in navigating the party after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru. During his 10 year reign as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu the state saw humongous economic growth. He is still remembered for bringing school education to millions of the rural poor by introducing free education and the free Midday Meal Scheme. He was awarded India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna.This video biography was produced and directed by Dr. S. Krishnaswamy, founder of Krishnaswamy Associates P Ltd, Chennai in 1978.
K Kamaraj lived all his life for the society, he had no personal life. He led freedom struggle in T N.then developed T N in all fields after becoming CM of Tamil Nadu state in 1954. After becoming the president of all India congress in 1964, he played a prime role in selecting PM of India two times. He is the great son of our motherland.

The state has lost a great leader who lived his whole life for the welfare of the people and now v r caught in the hands of the currupt politicians who are concerned only with money and post. V will never find a leader like the Great Kamaraj and it has become our fate to suffer in the hands of the curupt politicians as v have comited a big sin by defeating this great man in electoral poll.

No place was given by heartless CM KARUNANITHI to burry this great leader at Marina near Anna Memorial , the reason given by DMK CM , Kamaraj did not die as CM like Annadurai . But when KARUNANITHI dies he was not CM, but Stalin fought to burry him at Marina through protest , a corrupt politician and less qualified in merit KARUNANITHI was buried at marina but that honour was denied to this great leader who was buried only in Gandhi mandapam. Very Sad !
