A Framework for Conservation

The Stewardship Department built a trailhead information kiosk from "risk" oak trees directly from Sanctuary property. This film demonstrates the process in which the material was milled and the traditional joinery techniques utilized to erect kiosk frame. It was topped off with a wood shingle roof carved from Sanctuary "risk" white oak trees. This entire project was a collaboration of DCNR; ATC; FSC; and TNC.
