All ingested food passes through hydrochloric acid in the stomach and is neutralized by alkaline pancreatic salts before being absorbed in the intestines, so I don´t see how the acidity would have any effect on how healthy saomething is... Also most of the food we eat, vegetarian or not, is acidic. Don´t get me wrong I´m all about that vegan diet, but I just fail to see how the acidity would even matter
