Yes you can do it with a 2019. You dont have to work on anything else. You can change the characteristics by adding volume spacers. I added 3 later on.
How much pressure did you end up using ? I installed my monarch plus debonair rc3 on my Atroz and put about 210psi in it to achieve proper sag. I only weigh about 165
Does anybody know if this upgrade kit will fit a Monarch RT3? I own a 2015 KHS SixFifty 6500 for reference. If so, what exactly is the kit called and is it one size fits all? Thanks for the help?
mike dicke it's is totally worth the upgrade. Especially since my bike doesn't have a lot of linkage. It changed up the feel quiet a bit and the 130mm in the back feels soooo much better.
Hey bud, just got my can today. What are the 2 seals that come with the kit? And where do I add the can oil? Looks like you just bleed the air, remove original can. Remove shock. Then slide can off, lube and oil Debonair can and install. Then add bands to make it progressive. ? Missing anything?
mike dicke the seals are for a service. I'm saving mine since the shock was still new. Yes you add the band's before putting the can on to make it.progressive. the shock was already progressive. I did install one volume reducer but I pulled it off for me to feel the entire stroke.
No. You can add volume spacers without the upgrade. The upgrade changes the air volume so you can really tweak the way it feels. This helps because there is no linkage that multiplies or changes the dynamics of the shock.
Nice job. What was the volume of your old rl compared to the new after the upgrade? My bike came with the 200x57 and 350max psi version.. thinking of upgrading . See link below: www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/components/rear-shocks/product/review-rockshox-monarch-debonair-shock-sleeve-upgrade-14-48907/ What do you think? Cheer mate.
It made a huge difference. Way more air volume and it helped so much with the single pivot design. I added 2 volume spacers to add to the progression, so the 130mm travel feels like a lot more.
I've tried 4x to do this upgrade! Can't seem to get it right..
Is there any guidance from rockshox on this? I bought the upgrade kit but I can't find any guidance and there was no instructions with the kit
Can I do this with a 2019 Monarch RL shock? Is the can the only thing you change? Do you have to work on the piston, seal head or damper body?

david lim I'll check later but the debonair can has a much higher pressure rating than without.
david lim max on mine is 350psi and mine is set at 275psi for 25%sag for my weight.

I’m debating on doing this upgrade on my 2016 Kona process. How do you like it so far? Was it worth the upgrade? Thanks and good video!

MTB Thru my eyez glad to here it! Cheers!

Can oil goes inside the can but it's only a little that goes in. I looked online for the chart from #rockshox
Cool vid, useful too, good job :)
Thanks! I looked online and didn't see one like it so I hope it helps someone.

Is this just basically so you can add volume spacers?
