I don't know if Lawrence even realizes this but I was a vocalist for the Quantico Marine Corps Band and our Popular Music Group loved your songs so much that we used to perform them live in the National Capital Region. I don't know the amount of people who heard us sing Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me throughout the years I spent there but.... this song brought back those memories and needless to say, 23 was instantly added to my favorites playlist!

The world is in such a shit place. But music like this and bands like Lawrence bring joy amongst all the darkness. They give me hope that, maybe just maybe, we’re going to be okay.
Also the musical talent in this recording is just astounding! I’m so glad they share it with us.
I cannot get over the bass at the end of each chorus when it drops into that lower register for a few notes. Gets me so hyped every time!! 🎸😍
Go check out Lawrence: The Christmas Song ("Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire") on the Salt Lick sessions. Gracie briefly hit some bonkers low notes I nearly missed since my ears assumed she couldn't possibly make audible sounds there. (It's also almost christmas time, so relevant too 😉)
She also demonstrates amazing range on their cover of "Holy" which they only uploaded as a 1min short...which is the biggest tragedy in music tbh. I need a 5min version of that so I can loop it all day. She runs so long and high on there it breaks my brain.

23 was a weird year for me. I stepped more outside of my comfort zone that year than any other year in my life thus far but I also started putting myself second that year. So it was both good and damaging in different ways.
