I love that you don’t fast forward through everything. I like hearing the actual gardening sounds and hearing you talk while you do chores. It feels like we are actually in the garden with you.
Your garden is very beautiful and very neat! Thanks for the leaf blower tip, the quick joiner for hose, mentioning all the variety and tool names, and mixing 5 gallons at once in a bucket. I think a funnel and a helper would do the trick for the bucket pour.
Hey guys! Your Garden is so gorgeous! The shot of Eric cleaning the fountain - you can really get a sense of the plant diversity and garden artistry you both have created. I paused the video just to admire!
Hello Janette, lovely idea. Do not give up hope of the pond etc being used. I was observing my pond one evening and a frog and newts were busy crawling out of the pond and back in again 😊xx
You just blew my mind. I’ve been hand mixing can after can of water soluble fertilizer. That ends now. Off to Amazon to get that. Chapin wet/dry sprayer. Always learning from you both.🌸🌼🌺🌼🌸
Your guys’ garden is immaculate!! ❤ Every time I see how clean and beautiful yours is it motivates me to go out and pull a weed or deadhead something 😂
Well now I will be doing a much better job fertilizing my containers and flower beds thanks to you two! I so enjoy watching you both in your gorgeous yard.
Your garden is gogorgeous! Unfortunately, here in South Texas, we are about to hit with a tropical system, which could be a tropical storm or a cat. 1 hurricane. A cat 1 will be fine . I've been through 5 hurricanes already . We survived Harvey's wrath . Cat 5. It's depressing to think how my yard will look afterward. That's why l love your garden. It's always impeccable! ❤❤😊😊

I absolutely can not wait to get moved to upstate NY to get my garden started. For some reason I’ve noticed plants seem to grow so much better up there than here. I don’t know if it’s the soil or the zone but it’s so beautiful there. And for deer I grow super hot peppers then make a solution and put in my sprayer. Essential a pepper spray the police use lol.
Just found your page and so glad i did. You two are wonderful with the teamwork. Now this beautiful garden, I would never go indoors. I"ve already gotten lots of ideas for my garden. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning Eric and Christopher, we are doing the same chores as you! Already have been out there this morning for an hour and a half before the onslaught of the terrible heat ahead here in Northern Virginia. Stay cool guys🌞😅
@@growformegardening that’s great, gardening with such heat is daunting, hopefully today we will have some rain, it has been very dry. Thank goodness a large portion of our gardens are in the shade.
Okay you two your videos sound just like PBS Victory Garden! And your garden rivals any ever on that program. No matter when we watch it feels like a lazy Saturday. ❤️
I have had issues with deer as their path is through my yard. This spring we set up the Orbit yard enforcer and it works like a charm!! However, the bunnies are now taking over the damage. But it’s still so much better then what I had to deal with over the years. We don’t even need to spray anymore, I have 8 enforcers haha
We also fertilized our potted flowers today! Only we did it before I saw this video. Unfortunately we have been using a watering can this year mainly because our Miracle Gro system broke over the winter. As soon as I saw your Chapin I showed wifey and we ordered it. Thanks so much for today’s video. I learn something new every day. See you Saturday!
Re: deer repellent sprayer, check with Rod & Heidi with Garden Crossings. He demonstrated one they like quite well, or Erin with the Impatient Garden also has one she uses. Definitely nasty spray but very worthwhile. I’ve not heard before to feed hydrangeas with fish emulsion. Interesting.
Just came home from Home Depot. The one by me (Utica) has all shrubs, and roses 50% off! Worth a check near you! I made out like a bandit 😅❤ Hydrangeas, yew, arborvitae, boxwoods…and I was able to snag more popcorn drift roses to enlarge my drift. Everything was like $11-$15!!
Hey guys- I got my hands on the PW supertunia Tiara blue here in Ontario Canada at Home Depot!! It is so beautiful!! and how you paired it up with the double chiffon! Its gorgeous!! 😍
I’m So happy to know the Orbit Yard Enforcer is working for you. I use it and suggested it; perhaps other viewers did, too. I’m adjusting the sensor piece (lower) to see if it will sense the rascally rabbit( first time chewer after 44 years on my property!) that is eating my snapdragons.
Good strategy, Christopher. 😆 "Eric, you are so good at pouring the deer spray into the sprayer!" Future applications, it becomes Eric's task because he's "so good" at it. 😆
Loved it, I got tickled when Eric got sprayed , I have to admit I giggled sorry. Good job and everything is looking amazing!! Your hard work is really paying off. Very educational that gadget looks like it might just do the trick! And, that new orbit hose looks like I need one. Happy July 4th!
Thank you for this video. Exactly what I needed to learn! Had been confused about fertilizing (what, when, how). After trying the time-consuming method of using a watering can and measuring scoops of fertilizer, my annuals looked worse not better. Will buy Proven Winners fertilization products & equipment today. Appreciate you sharing what goes on behind-the-scenes to make your gardens so beautiful and healthy. Your leaf blower trick was brilliant, by the way!

Great video with a ton of detail. How often do you have to spray the deer repellent you used at the end of the video. The deer are eating the new growth on my hydrangeas so badly. What is the name of what you used. Thanks so much!
I loved the idea of the Chapin sprayer and ordered one from Amazon. I’ve tried 2 different chapin sprayers but both clogged with the proven winners fertilizer and it never seemed to draw the fertilizer up and dispense. The color never changed. Curious to know if yours has held up for you with all the fertilizing you do in your absolutely beautiful gardens. I wanted it to work so badly!
Do you think the fish fertilizer draws raccoons to your yard? I bought fish fertilizer but after getting it home I was afraid to use it because we have raccoons and I sure don't need to draw them to the yard. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I love your videos. You have a beautiful garden.
I use the PW fertilizer but I’ve always just used a big watering can and refilled multiple times. Watched this video Thursday and thought “game changer”! So I went to the store, bought the same hose end sprayer and followed your instructions….but I must be doing something wrong because I believe I just watered over 100 annuals with water only 😩 I thought it was odd the water was clear, although in the container tank I knew it was mixed with the fertilizer. The mixture in the tank never decreased. I removed the top, double checked the suction tube, basket and settings, still just water. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? (I tried calling the company but they’re closed on Sat/Sun) Thanks for any tips you may be able to provide.
@@growformegardening 🤷🏻♀️I will try calling the company again on Monday. Should the amount of liquid in the “tank” decrease as the fertilizer is used up? I have another hose end sprayer I use for herbicide and it empties as I go. But it’s a liquid concentrate so it pulls the set amount and mixes with the water as it’s dispersed. I appreciate you responding to my question. I know as your channel grows you won’t be able to do that, but it sure is nice for now😊Happy gardening🌸

hydrogen peroxide does the same thing but ba lot cheaper and those who have aquatic plants in their fish tanks use it to control algae and its safe for fish
Do NOT buy that Chapin wet/dry sprayer. I bought it because of this video. The sprayer was leaking like crazy. The nozzle to choose the different options was loose. It was very cheap plastic. I gave it 2 days of proper use to test it out - even had my husband try in case I was doing something wrong. The dry option didn’t disperse the fertilizer at all. I had to change it to the wet option on the highest level to get the thing to disperse anything at all. Waste of time and money.
