Back on the Honda!🏍 Come with me to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe and find out why we ended up paying 30€ for a 5€ campsite😅 cheers🤙🏼
The rolls are called "Travesseiros de Sintra" Thanks for the videos, I own a motorcycle and almost every Sunday me and some friends we went to Cabo da Roca...it's like a local ritual for bikers.
Great channel. I have found your videos just by random, about 2 weeks ago, but from then i have watched all your videos. Great content, you deserve more subscribers. Have a nice trip ;)
Hey Marc, kind of a bummer needing a covid test, I'm a nurse doing those tests in the pharmacies, if you had a Portuguese health number the test would be free... also those cylinder shape cakes are called Travesseiros, I hope you tried the Queijadas while you were going to Piriquita. One note if you ever go to sintra again go to pastery shop called Gregório and get a bag of Broas de Mel, they are amazing!!
Thanks🤗 yeah I heard they are free for you, same in Germany. I mean I’m used to pay on the journeys the last 2 years anyways. I remember to Iceland I had to pay 75€ for pcr test twice😅 anyways, I wanna come back to sintra for sure 🧁 thank you for watching 🤗
Thanks for sharing your trip, my wife and I are also huge fans of .... pasteis de nata 😇 Portugal is a realy beautiful country and portugese people are very nice 😉
I’ve been watching your videos for a few days and I must say you now have another fan. I’m getting a lot of pain from my disability and my days of adventure riding seem to have come to an end. I still have a bike, it’s not very exciting but if all comes together I can manage a few hours in the saddle but my walking is dreadful. I have a 2007 Honda Deauville NT700ve the last time I had a single cylinder similar to yours was a 1981 Honda XL500. Not has nice as your machine, it didn’t have an electric start and refused to start if I used the decompression lever, it much preferred to kick back at you every opportunity it got. Something about a big single cylinder I like. Just wanted to let you know how much I’m enjoying the adventure with you Dave
Congratulations on every video you record and show, in my opinion one of the best passengers on a motorcycle, greetings from Montenegro, I also travel and promote Montenegro and drive a Yamaha Super Tenere 750.Good luck in further travels, Nikola

Cabo da roca is a very beautiful place! About the covid scene... You were unlucky... We were going to have antecipated government elections in 30th January, so this time and unlike 2020 festive time, the government wanted to go super hard on restrictions to avoid the criticism and loosing the elections. Most of the measures were quite debatable. Last year, by that time with no elections on horizon, we were the worst country in the world in terms of cases and death per capita and they didn't care so much. Politics and business... Covid is also a business for many. The disgrace of many is the oportunity of much. It has always been like this. Good video, Marc! Cheers!
Yeah I think your right with that, many making big money now while others loose a lot. And yes it was just bad timing but it doesn’t matter, the journey is what I will remember, not the money 🤗 thanks for watching Carlos🤙🏼
I went to Cabo da Roca many many years ago when I was backpacking and staying in Youth Hostels. Nice place and the forests nearby are very pretty. Hope you enjoy Lisbon.
My sister already passed Camino de Santiago about 3 years ago. Very good experience but also quite difficult. She was so exhaused and hungry that she broke her vegetarian rules and ate the only food offered in local "restaurants"- fish :D Regards

Yeeesss.... Well done Marc .. .very nice place.. i've been there too ... i was there in a much more windy day ... !! I saw you've got Pastel de nata .. Very nice too.. for the best Pastel de nata you should have to go to the Tower of Belem "Torre do Belem" and you should go to the "Pasteis de Belem" cafe' .. you wouldn't believe how much difference it will do into those sweet .. !! Over there you shall visit Jerónimos Monastery too... a gothic monastery and then you will see also Padrão dos Descobrimentos a monument very nice nearby .. on the other side of the river going through the Ponte 25 de Abril you will visit the Cristo Reis a monument very similar to the one in Rio de janeiro in Brasil .. Stay safe and have fun my friend .. Hi from Italy
There are actually 2 French islands off the east coast of Canada, St Pierre and Miquelon, they are farther west than Iceland, but harder to reach by motorcycle.
I bet there are not many motorcycles with a German plate around .... Incidentally, I paid 250 eu a COVID test in US in December at the airport to be able to come back to Europe.
Hey Marc! great match you and Maree and great videos of your road trips ;) by the way, those roles are called "Travesseiros" (de Sintra) and they are absolutely delicious indeed! The outside has a delicate puff pastry and the inside is filled with egg and almond cream.

Cabo da Roca is The place where a lot of Lisbon motorcyclists go on the weekend ride, as (all) the roads to get there are great, the views (ocean) are beautifull, and you are close to Sintra's Piriquita's Travesseiros. Custard Tarts (Pastel de Nata) are the traditional sweets in Lisbon, and there is even a yearly competition of what is the best one :D... going from SIntra to Vila Franca De Xira by those back roads was a funny choice. Usually people go directly to LIsbon transversing Cascais and going in by the marginal road that follows the coast. It is one of the best motorcycle rides in LIsbon, only beaten by Setúbal/Arrábida/Portinho beach. Funny thing is this perspective thing... As i never did big rides, going 20 km away from LIsbon just to get some sleep seems bonkers to me. :D:D:D... When I visit a city I always try to be the closest to all the action and walk. But what is 20km for a person that came riding from Berlin?!?!? man.. perspective... Now you are giving me some cool ideas and desires.. I might even opt for a totally different kind of bike next year when I will trade my Caferacer...
Hey my friend, absolutely loved the pastries in sintra 🤩 and yeah i saw bikers in Cabo da roca even now in winter. What a place 🙌🏼 I took the other way to go to Lisbon cause I knew I‘ll be checking out the city together with Maree the next few days. The idea was to find a cheap place to stay (almost worked out) and also have a little camp since I couldn’t do it much so far and it was not easy to find a campsite that open this time a year. But that‘s how I travel anyways, never really plan just going along with what’s coming up🤗 we‘ll be in Lisbon the next episode🙌🏼 thanks for watching and your support my friend 🤙🏼 cheers Ps. Every bike can be an adventure bike 🙌🏼 get some saddlebags for your caferacer and off you go 🏍🚀
Hey Marc! 25€!! That’s an unwelcome additional cost, sorry dude. We had to pay over £50 each for tests in the UK. From labs connected to a UK government minister scandal. Someone is making a lot of money from Covid….
2 years ago she came with me on the Eurotrip for a few days on the back but I think riding is just not really her thing. But I’m working on a solution right now to bring her along anyways on the next journey…stay tuned my friend 🤙🏼
damn test, damn oil. But it was worth all that. the moment with the tent ready and the fire lit is incomparable. I wish you the best for this new year Marc. Greetings from Argentina
Yeah but that’s just how the world is right now. Felt good to domaine camping 🏕 I really enjoy a little fire, some cooking and also sleeping in the tent 🤗 thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼
wow cant believe you needed a covid test to camp outside, they must have a deal with the pharmacy 25 euros is ludicrous, at least youll be covered for the next few stops
hey Glenn, yeah at least for the next day since they were only valid 24h😅 anyways it was so nice to camp, loved every minute🤗 thanks for watching mate🤙🏼
20degrees!! 👌 Sinatra and surrounding area looks great . Love the way you and Maree have been able to mix it up with your travels and see interesting places. I want to go to that cake shop!!! 😂 safe riding 👍
Hi again from Indonesia, just love your video and havebeen following your video from Iceland trip 😁, hope you alway produce a good video to watch, cheers
Hey Marc!! Your vid’s are getting better and better mate. Discovered your channel a couple of weeks back, loving it, the Dominator brings back a lot of memories from posters on my wall as a kid here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 . Keep them coming brother 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Oh man. I stayed in Portugal for the entire month of october and slept every night at another place. Never had to take a test once. What happend there?
Keep it coming Marc, great journey you are on, looks like your really getting into the camping. Some of background music your own mixs? Say hi to your Kiwi girl from fellow Kiwis, Bay of Plenty NZ.
Thanks mate. I think I used more from the TH-cam Library in this one. You can check out the music when you scroll down in the description. Thanks for tuning in and I’m gonna say hi to the kiwi girl😉🤗
Wow - the little Fire-thing is amazing 👍🏻✨😍 so cool ! Just so relaxed, I would definitely have problems to switch from wonderful Appartement stays with Marie to the lonely tent than 😂😂😂 but you just take it, as it comes so 👍🏻👍🏻
It's funny how you see all these Smart cars driving around, because I'm so lucky that I'm blasting around in my own little ForTwo CDI, and yeah, it's a diesel with a running cost of 0,33 centiliters every 10 km it says, but that's not entirely true although it's still very close. How much does your Dominator/ Trans Alp/ Africa Twin slurp up for every km? Nice ride btw, you got to see many good things along the way, but for camping, I would definetely camp away from the city and all the noise and wake up to a beautiful view and the sound of wind in the grassy fields😁👍
Awesome Davide! Thank you so much! You have been a great supporter right from the start! I appreciate that so much and will not forget 🤗 greetings to you and your family 🤙🏼
Que bonito viaje, lástima del coronavirus, suerte que parece que el virus remite poco a poco. Entre tus viajes y los de Norely han hecho que tenga ganas de comprar una moto, hahaha. Ya espero tú próxima vídeo!
haha you did found "Piriquita" 😅 nice nice, and tthe name its "folhado de sintra" ✌️ 6:40 - my house its like 2km from ther, you should have call and i will give you free camping ground 🙃 Cheers ✌️
Covid is just a massive money spinner. Thankfully you have a better temperament than I do towards it Marc. I would have just found a quiet place to camp somewhere. Thank goodness I live in Australia where there's plenty of free camping.
Hey man... it's ridiculous :D :D these are almost hit phrases for me ;) You and Honda, you are the best! Keep going man, your way of traveling is what I preferre too and that why like your videos. And I see a new bigger tent? And cocker, it realy ridiculous :D Or I am wrong?
Hey man thanks for watching 🤗 yes a new tent and the hobo cooker was a try and it works awesome, also the jet boil gas cooker is my new favorite 🙌🏻 cheers mate 🤙🏼
Thanks mate, yeah sure. I suggest you check out my playlist „how I do stuff“ on the channel. You‘ll find all my camera setups there. Cheers and thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Hey there, thanks for watching. No I’m fully vaccinated and I wouldn’t advice to travels without cause they want to see the pass everywhere. It’s just that at this point the pass wasn’t enough, I had to have a test as well. Cheers, Marc 🤙🏼
Hi Marc, always thanks you for sharing your travels. Can you tell me what's your navigator and do you use it off line? Keep safe. Ps : your gf 's really cute when angry!!...
Sachma Marc du hast doch schon von fuelfriend diesen 1 Liter Kanister . Da gibt's auch welche extra für Öl . Die laufen dann auch ohne Tüte nicht aus 😉😅
I like yr vids more and more. The places you go are great. I am also glad to see yr channel picking up momentum. I rode Honda's all my life from my mtx50cc -xr200-xl500-xr650-xlv1000. Soon I would like to get xr650l, but you have changed my perspective a bit? I wish you safe travels and be #relaxzd 💯😎
25€.. Holy crab.. We have same rapid test and it cost about 3€.. Try to call hotels and ask, maybe some of them don't need that test.. So sorry about your money.. 🔥💪🏿🐯
Yes Honda’s back! Live trip? Like livestream? Since I film every day, I can’t help the delay cause I really can’t publish a video every day…I just don’t have the time to do it. But yeah, next journey I will probably just film every other day and than there won’t be a big delay. Cheers and thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼
Buen video Marc, vaya aventuras te pasan ,te tienes q hacer una prueba covid para entrar en un camping q está vacío,por lo menos descansarás tranquilo . Un abrazo ✌️✌️👍👍
I have a plan do do something big this year yes. But I don’t know if I can make a living from TH-cam yet, sure helps tho to finance a journey, traveling is always way more expensive than just living expenses. So I will see what happens in the future🙌🏼 cheers Marc🤙🏼

Wow - the little Fire-thing is amazing 👍🏻✨😍 so cool ! Just so relaxed, I would definitely have problems to switch from wonderful Appartement stays with Marie to the lonely tent than 😂😂😂 but you just take it, as it comes so 👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah I love to mix it up like that! 🤗🙌🏼 and yes the cheap little hobo cooker from Amazon is approved 🔥 cheers 🤙🏼
Hey Jan, it’s different always but definitely get 20km per liter for sure. Thanks for tuning in🤗🤙🏼
Enjoy and Ride safe :)
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
Adesso mi sono abbonato
Awesome Davide! Thank you so much! You have been a great supporter right from the start! I appreciate that so much and will not forget 🤗 greetings to you and your family 🤙🏼
The views are great.
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels If it weren't for the strong wind and drone launch, it would be the top
Que bonito viaje, lástima del coronavirus, suerte que parece que el virus remite poco a poco. Entre tus viajes y los de Norely han hecho que tenga ganas de comprar una moto, hahaha. Ya espero tú próxima vídeo!
Awesome! Great to hear I could inspire you.🤗Cheers, Marc 🤙🏼
haha you did found "Piriquita" 😅 nice nice, and tthe name its "folhado de sintra" ✌️

😅🤫🤟
@@x_Paulo_Nogueira_x oh there will be off road soon my friend 🙌🏼🏍🚀
Covid is just a massive money spinner. Thankfully you have a better temperament than I do towards it Marc. I would have just found a quiet place to camp somewhere. Thank goodness I live in Australia where there's plenty of free camping.
Haven't Covid reached Australia yet? Everything comes and you will take intelligent measures.
Hey man... it's ridiculous :D :D these are almost hit phrases for me ;) You and Honda, you are the best!

Thanks Hans, they were my favorite 🤩 cheers🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels Bola de Berlin is also a good paistry, legend says a woman from Berlin moved to Portugal and start to bake them
@@hansjohansson7477 alright sounds interesting 🤗 thanks Hans 🤙🏼

Thanks mate 🤙🏼
In Finland PCR test costs €100
Oh wow…in Germany 75€. This one in Portugal was just a rapid test tho and only valid 24h. Hopefully this is all soon over…thanks for tuning in Tom 🤙🏼
Interesting vid. Does boiling count as cooking?!
Absolutely david😅...at least in my world! but i wanna improve my cooking skills in future journeys;) thanks for tuning in mate🤙🏼
Great vids, can I ask what cameras you use?
Thanks mate, yeah sure. I suggest you check out my playlist „how I do stuff“ on the channel. You‘ll find all my camera setups there. Cheers and thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Hello 😉 I'm so happy to see that you can travel without pass (but 25€ 😯) I also want to go to Portugal, you send dream, thank you for sharing ✌️
Hey there, thanks for watching. No I’m fully vaccinated and I wouldn’t advice to travels without cause they want to see the pass everywhere. It’s just that at this point the pass wasn’t enough, I had to have a test as well. Cheers, Marc 🤙🏼
hello Marc,
Your videos are adictives. I love it.
You 're à nice guy!
Excuse me for my english...
Thanks Franck and thanks for commenting in English🤗 have a great day 🤙🏼
Hi Marc, always thanks you for sharing your travels. Can you tell me what's your navigator and do you use it off line?
Keep safe.
Ps : your gf 's really cute when angry!!...
Haha ja you should see her hungry 😬🤣 I use google maps always. Works great with highways turned off. Thanks for tuning in...cheers, Marc 🤙🏼
Thanks mate 🤗🤙🏼
25€.. Holy crab.. We have same rapid test and it cost about 3€..
Try to call hotels and ask, maybe some of them don't need that test..
So sorry about your money.. 🔥💪🏿🐯
Hello 🙋♂️ really nice video again. 😁🤝
And Happy New Year 🤭😂😂
Thanks mate 🤗🤙🏼 yeah I should try to publish 3 a week to get the delay not to big😅 let’s see if I can make it…thanks for watching 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels it's ok! Take your time! 😁🤝

@@MarcTravels 💪😎
And we have Honda on the road again...Perfect👍 I really like your video and I hope one day U can do live trip video 🏍 😉
Yes Honda’s back! Live trip? Like livestream? Since I film every day, I can’t help the delay cause I really can’t publish a video every day…I just don’t have the time to do it. But yeah, next journey I will probably just film every other day and than there won’t be a big delay. Cheers and thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels That's OK bro.....You doing very good job anyway 👍
@@leszekjohns thanks man, I’ll find a good way to keep the delay low 🤗🤙🏼
Great program! Was it really 25 euro for the camping site?
5€ for the camping site... 25€ for the test.
Interesting till the end. :) That 25 EUR was really too much, but OK. Rules are rules. :) Keep going my friend.
Yeah that what I think as well, what can you do. At least I’m having a great night camping 🏕 cheers, mate 🤙🏼
Cheers 🤙🏼
Buen video Marc, vaya aventuras te pasan ,te tienes q hacer una prueba covid para entrar en un camping q está vacío,por lo menos descansarás tranquilo .
Un abrazo ✌️✌️👍👍
Yes and I loved the camping 🏕🤩 thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Are you planning to do this full time ?
I have a plan do do something big this year yes. But I don’t know if I can make a living from TH-cam yet, sure helps tho to finance a journey, traveling is always way more expensive than just living expenses. So I will see what happens in the future🙌🏼 cheers Marc🤙🏼
Bester Mann!
Danke fürs reinschauen Michael 🤗🤙🏼
Yaay!
