Its been now long since my wife and I attended the novus ordo mass in our parish. There is or are no other mass (trad mass/TLM) being done in our diocese nor nearby dioceses. Tried taking holy communion on the tongue even while standing but was rejected and told to extend my hand. The NO mass is more protestant, the singing, organ and guitars playing, priest saying jokes in the NO mass, immodest attire by young females, chatting, priest facing the people instead of the altar, some dancing, female lectors, lay ministers giving communion and many more. Yes its true, the real catholic faith has been dilluted to a point you no longer can recognize it. Was partially schooled in a parochial catholic school, attended the ordinary mass(at that time the latin mass), had priest doing cathechism, did pray before and after classes, these are all gone and the NO reigns. Sad.

Yes, you should not attend the new mass. The third commandment requires us to keep holy the Lord’s Day. Attending mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation is a precept of the church, not one of the 10 commandments. God does not expect us to do the impossible, and if it is impossible to make it to a mass on Sunday that is not compromising the Catholic Faith, then you still need to sanctify Sunday which you absolutely MUST do, but you do not have to go to the Novus Ordo to do so. In fact, for me, it would be a sin to attend the Novus Ordo.

A civil right is even worse since civil rights are public in nature. If a non-Catholic has a true civil right to religious freedom, a Catholic monarch would not be able to restrict such freedom. Religious freedom was condemned as heretical by Pius IX. This is the condemned proposition: "Everyman is free to embrace and profess that religion which he, led by the light of reason, thinks to be the true religion." And this, the Vatican II solemn promulgation: "This Vatican Council declares that the human person has a right to religious freedom." There is no room for spin here. Vatican II teaches what Pius IX condemned.
