When I first time tried Eileen's, i thought the cake would be too thick and sweet, but when I actually had it, it was just blowing my mind. It is just perfect. Since then, I ALWAYS go to Eileen's whenever I go to NYC

I tried it, had it delivered, it was not worth the 90 bucks.

I’ve had it. It’s........ HEAVEN. Theirs is by far the best cheesecake I have ever ever ever had and I’ve had Chicago cheesecake, California cheesecake, Canadian cheesecake, and now NYC cheesecake. This was a joy to experience

Just so people know, they don't sell by the slice, they only sell in that tart/cupcake like form or as a whole cheesecake. I went to these guys in February. Nonetheless, this is the best cheesecake.

The BEST Cheesecake I ever had was at "Newberrys" in the Northgate Mall in Seattle Washington. They made it on site in huge sheet pans. Sliced in big squares. Heaven. Gone, like most good things of back in the day.

I’m loving the Italian food resurgence. Italian food was so popular that it became part of Americana, than the millennials all got gluten allergies and but somehow became “foodies” at the same time and we had some other cuisines become popular, and rightly so, most countries have good cuisines, but Italian food still has that simple method but comforting feel. Loving it.

Junior’s is still the King of NYC but Eileen’s has a lot of variety (red velvet, chocolate banana, pumpkin, crème brûlée, etc, etc) which makes it more attractive to younger people. But Eileen’s classic cheese cakes (plain & strawberry) aren’t as good as Junior’s IMHO.
Junior's makes different kinds too!
Actually just saw a Pumpkin Cheesecake they were selling on QVC that looks like the bomb...

I haven’t been to Junior’s in a few years but I just checked their website and you’re right. They have a few new cheesecakes in their menu but nothing compared to Eileen’s.
Juniors is trash unlike eileens. Way more unique flavors and more creamier. Ive been to both.
I was actually disappointed when I ate Junior's. No one told me about Eileen's before going to the US but I ate at Del Frisco's and even though they are a steakhouse, their strawberry cheesecake was amazing. Wayy better than junior's. I've never finished a new york cheesecake but I found myself wanting more even after a 4 course meal.
Veniero's in NYC also has a pretty good cheesecake. I wanted to try Eileen's but it was closed as it was Christmas day so Veniero's it was.
This cheesecake is soooo good! So light and fluffy. Much better than Junior's (tourist trap). Also, shout out to the cheesecake at the Little Cupcake Shop and Magnolia's.

Having just gotten back from NYC today and having tried both Eileen's and Junior's...
I'm definitely not going to say Eileen's is bad by any stretch, but it certainly isn't my favourite cheesecake.
If one finds most cheesecakes to be too heavy, they will probably like Eileen's a lot. It has a very light texture compared to most. Even the crust on Eileen's was very soft compared to Junior's.
If I had to choose between the two, I would choose Junior's over Eileen's.
However, the cheesecake I make at home is somewhere in between Junior's and Eileen's in texture. It's not heavy like Junior's, but it's also not exactly light like Eileen's.
HELL YES IT IS THE BEST!!! I am so glad I live within walking distance of this place!!

If you come to new York and disappointed with the taste of real new York cheesecake here. You cannot skip this place. It’s small, pricey but worth every cent.

The Cheesecake Factory in NYC is really good went there recently cuz I’ve never been to NYC cheesecake soooo good there but it’s like 10 bucks for a slice and maybe 25 or around there for a whole cheesecake of course they were out of whole cheesecake but it is yummy
