You should do the 2000s version of this video because I believe that many fans have forgotten about many All-Stars in that decade. Guys like Mehmet Okur and Jameer Nelson come to mind.
Memo is our pride and joy! We still really love him and miss his presence on court. Hopefully both Alperen and Ömer would replace him as a Turkish international and would replicate his legacy.
Actually had the pleasure of having Mike Adams as my assistant coach in college. That man could still knock em down. He would definitely be more revered today considering his play style.
Been watching NBA since 95 and I was following almost all teams during that time span, like for 10 years, honestly I've only heard a handful of these players. I also remember an ad where Hawkins was shooting a ft in slo mo and camera flashes. 😆
Oh my! This video took me back! Wilson dropping names i didn't realize that i remembered. As for most shocking ASG selection, probably gatling in my opinion.
Outstanding video packed with info on these mostly 2nd tier guys who sometimes were better than that. They were all impact guys but the video title says it all.
I always liked schrmerf, and idk if anyone today gives him love..I just remember being a kid and had his card, on the back he was shooting and his finger had a metal cast, so it looked like he had a hook for a finger.
Some healthy criticism if I may, actually an advise: Don't jump so quickly to the next subject, it's better when there is a little pause in between. Now it sounds like you don't even change the subject and still talk about the same player even tho you have changed already, it's confusing as hell and atleast I had to rewind two times because of it. Sometimes there is longer pause between sentences even tho you talk about the same player, that's not bad at all but just saying.. do you watch the video before you post? Because it is important when you make content to TH-cam, maybe do it twice so you can be sure there is no errors... But way to go, I honestly like these videos and I believe you can be popular with your subjects, just some hoaning like I said and it's way better! 😌
I'll never forget Michael Adams, he was actually the face of upper-deck NBA trading cards for 93-94 season where I live and the beggining to my exposure to NBA :D Nice list, outside of the guys mentioned in the video and in comments I'd add: - Tom Chambers, first free agent in NBA history, actually posted 27/7 in '90 and actually posted over 20000 pts in his career, noone ever talks about him outside of that dunk where he killed Mark Jackson - Jeff Hornacek in '92, got 20/5/5/2 on 51/44/89 shooting splits and was a great ball handler, people forget he was actually good before playing 3rd fiddle to Stockton and Malone - Alvin Robertson, 6x all-defense guy, selected for '91 game while leading the league in steals for the third time in his career - Bernard King - this guy's a legend and hardly forgotten, but I always seem to read that 'oh he was great, but that torn ACL in '85 finished his career'. Well, not only he wasn't finished, he actually made the '91 ASG while scoring 28.4ppg for the Bullets - Detlef Schrempf, first euro to make the ASG. Did it 3 times, in '93, '95 and '97 - Juwan Howard '96 - Christian Laettner '97 HM to '94 ASG members, Kenny Anderson, Mookie Blaylock, Derrick Coleman, Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong (actually in the starting 5 :D ), Charles Oakley, John Starks, Clifford Robinson and Danny Manning.. man, that EAST team was a beautiful mess :D
NBA Live in the 90s when I was in grade school - Hersey Hawkins, Dana Barros, Chris Gatling, Tom Googs, Terrell Brandon, Jayson Williams... the memories
It would be dope if you did career retrospectives on players who were like players like this. Had long, successful careers who weren't the biggest names but still worth a mini doc
I remember all of these players. Tyrone Hill was the biggest shock at the time the East was kind of depleted of big man but when Ty Hill got chosen most of not all were shocked
Because Jordan and the bulls were so dominant, many really good players get forgotten. If you don't make the hof or win a championship, the casual don't know you and claim Jordan played against plumbers and other garbage.
Dooood you got Cavs PG Tyrone Hill, his teammate and even more underrated predecessor Terrell Brandon, but you missed the trifecta, his teammate and even more underrated predecessor the true GOAT of the 90s, Mark Price!
I'm only 18 and I've been an NBA fan since I was 6, heard all of them thanks to NBA Live 08 except for Hill and Brandon, and I often confused Hawkins for the chocolate Hersheys back then
I’ve heard of all these guys and I’m 17. Obviously I didn’t watch any of these guys growing up however Ik them by increasing my knowledge by playing Sporcle NBA quizzes!
Chris Gatling... How the hell did he make it? I mean, he was a solid role player, decent defender and OK scorer from what I remember (it was my late teen years so my memory is a little fuzzy due to um I plead the 5th lol), but I forgot he made an All-Star team.
Well since I grew up during that time I'm familiar with every single last player on your list. 😁 A couple of them could have been great players for a long time if it wasn't for injuries like Tom gugliotta.
2:28 Fat and Ro Blackman the only 2 guys there who didn't find their way to the NBA Finals, I think. Ro left Knicks one year too early or it would just be Fat.
I agree. Not trying to be rude, but I had to exit the video half way through because the speed of the talking was too overwhelming. Great info, but I suggest slowing down. Way too fast to be very impactful with all the facts your sharing.

Jamaal Magloire🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@@slanderman3296
Stephen Jackson is a thug.
Hersey Hawkins was like the Joe Dumars who never got to be on a good team.
Sonics were a 60 win team they just ran into mj as usual
He was on a good team he was on the Sonics team that won 64 games in 96 and in the Finals
1996 Sonics?!
Who??????
@@0401412740 live a little longer kid and they will say who when you mention Jeremi Grant.
When playing NBA live 95 for Sega Genesis back in the day pays off 😅

Great video
What a good video
Oh my! This video took me back! Wilson dropping names i didn't realize that i remembered. As for most shocking ASG selection, probably gatling in my opinion.
Yes, Gatling and Williams. Both were barely even solid role players, unlike the rest of the people on the list
Heard of all of these guys, watched a lot of them play
Outstanding video packed with info on these mostly 2nd tier guys who sometimes were better than that. They were all impact guys but the video title says it all.

Detleff was nice

Agree 100%! Great info, but very confusing and overwhelming to take it all in.
Cedric Ceballos, selected in 1995 but injured
You ain't do any honorable mentions like Jeff Hornacek made his only All-star game in 92 or his Suns teammate Cedric Ceballos in 95 with the Lakers
I'll never forget Michael Adams, he was actually the face of upper-deck NBA trading cards for 93-94 season where I live and the beggining to my exposure to NBA :D

Danny Manny was actually a two-time All-Star he made the team in 93
Bernard king didn't play in the 90s. He played in the 80s
NBA Live in the 90s when I was in grade school - Hersey Hawkins, Dana Barros, Chris Gatling, Tom Googs, Terrell Brandon, Jayson Williams... the memories
Great video!! A few of these players I didn't know made an all star team. Didn't Bill Laimbeer also make 1 all star game too?
It would be dope if you did career retrospectives on players who were like players like this. Had long, successful careers who weren't the biggest names but still worth a mini doc
Not shocked by any of these ive been an absolute die hard nba fan for 30+ years I knew and watched every player on this list
I was a fan in the 90s. Gatling and Hill still stand out as surprising years later.
My dude... when you're from the 90s you don't forget.
Great list of unsung nba players..
Rod Strickland, Kenny Anderson, Derek Anderson, Mookie Blaylock, Travis Best, Terrell Brandon
The dunk contest this year was an absolute travesty.
Dooood you got Cavs PG Tyrone Hill, his teammate and even more underrated predecessor Terrell Brandon, but you missed the trifecta, his teammate and even more underrated predecessor the true GOAT of the 90s, Mark Price!
Dang, I haven't heard that name Terrell Brandon in years, I remember that guy...good PG.
I'm only 18 and I've been an NBA fan since I was 6, heard all of them thanks to NBA Live 08 except for Hill and Brandon, and I often confused Hawkins for the chocolate Hersheys back then
Wasn't shocked at all, just because I had too many basketball cards in the late 80s to mid 90s. Loved Googs though, he was way before his time.
Very Good Video💪👍other People make a list and put Webber, Stojaković, Marbury...Everyone knows these players.
I’ve heard of all these guys and I’m 17.
Obviously I didn’t watch any of these guys growing up however Ik them by increasing my knowledge by playing Sporcle NBA quizzes!
Wow, for half of them never heard off, but I heard for Fat Lever, he is extremely underrated
Damn terell brandon such a fun guy to watch
I'm in my late 20's and I know a lot of them because of NBA Shootout from PS1.
Chris Gatling... How the hell did he make it? I mean, he was a solid role player, decent defender and OK scorer from what I remember (it was my late teen years so my memory is a little fuzzy due to um I plead the 5th lol), but I forgot he made an All-Star team.
Forgot how good Googs was early on before the injuries. Like many before & after, being in Minn killed his career
Aside from Terell Brandon, Mookie Blaylock is one of the forgoten 90's guard, sucks that he didn't even make an all-star appearance.
Well since I grew up during that time I'm familiar with every single last player on your list. 😁 A couple of them could have been great players for a long time if it wasn't for injuries like Tom gugliotta.
Even if they have heard of them they believe they wouldn't be able to play with the "SUPERIOR" athletes of today
Dan Majerle,Cedric Ceballos,Jamaal Magloire,Nick Van Exel
Dan Majerle was actually a three-time All-Star
Terry Porter was real good. No one talks about him though.
Gatling, Never knew he was an allstar
But they say there were plumbers in the 90s
lots of these mentions were actually in NBA jam the arcade version.
2:28
Fat and Ro Blackman the only 2 guys there who didn't find their way to the NBA Finals, I think. Ro left Knicks one year too early or it would just be Fat.
I almost don’t believe some of these ppl exist and I’m a 37 yr old nba fan lol.
Ricky was no joke o.g 6th man
Don’t Know Why I Came to This Video When I Know Everybody Here😭 Forgot I Wasn’t born In 2005

Rickie pierce was nice
barros wasnt a one year wonder he just ended up on a team with a better pg a became a sixth man.
I heard of them
BJ Armstrong
The fact that Tyrone Hill was recognized as an all star is just hilarious 😂 Solid player, don't get me wrong, but definitely not an all star
BJ ARMSTRONG
It's pronounced Rudy Tomyanović, being bball bloger you should learn it....
