Kandi & Kim approached this collaboration as friends, not strictly as a business arrangement so Kandi did not lock down the financial aspects with Kim. When the song took off Kandi thought Kim would properly compensate her but rather Kim served her dust and this is where lawyers & the courts got involved. Kim never had a recording deal from anyone, Tardy For The Party was a one and done event.
