    Great Video! Thanks for posting or for the insights. I have the same issue as described, but only between 2nd and 3rd gear. Seems to me that a ground issue would cause a problem for all shifts, isn't it? I will still check that ground first just in case.

    • @HFG
      @HFG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! Mine first started acting weird on the 2-3 shift then progressively got worse. I think that as the resistance on the ground got higher and higher as it broke more and more it affected the trans worse and worse. That's my theory, but since I don't have an automotive scanner to check things it makes it really hard to diagnose these newer cars.

    Ha ha working on one now needs a radiator and a valve cover gasket and a tuneup like from a thousand yesterday's ago!! How often was the trans fluid changed...nice that you found the faulty grounds. Having live data really helps to find these issues. No redundancy cause of cost....they are not the space shuttle😂

    • @HFG

      :) Shockingly this one doesn't need a valve cover gasket yet lol I think this is the third time in its life that's it's had the trans fluid flushed. That I know of, anyway. $15/quart for Honda fluid 😬 I sure wish I had a scan tool. It would have made things so much easier for sure, but I don't need one too often. Still want one though.

    hello i want to ask
    When my car is crawling in traffic, it feels vibrating/stuttering in 1st gear at low speed. like a dead coil, but when running smoothly up to 4th gear there are no vibration problems. is this a problem because of the selenoid shift?
    or I have to overhaul the transmission

      I haven't tried them, but every single person that I've ever heard talk about them has nothing but bad things to say. I'm part of a few CRV groups, and they strongly advised against them. However, I don't personally know... So I can't really say much 🤷🏽‍♂️

    So my oh 2 crv is doing the same thing between 2nd and 3rd.My junkyard solenoids did not fix the issue. Did you put the original solenoids back in to know for sure it was the ground?

    • @HFG

      Yeah I used the original solenoids. The tubes were longer on the junk yard solenoids. I didn't know if there were any other differences so I just used my original ones to make sure. It's been driving perfectly ever since so I never switched them. In my case it had to have been the ground.

    Please help....
    I have a honda accord 7th gen 2.4L automatic i have problem from shifting 1 to 2 , i think it is this dual linear solenoid as it only shifts from 1 to 2 if i only let off the throttle but it shifts perfectly when it shifts to 3 4 5
    Also when the cars gets warm temperatures the transmission starts directly jumping from 1st to 3rd gear with a loud thud noise and doesn't shift to 2nd gear, only when the car gets cooled down it shifts to 2nd gear and again when it gets warm it starts doing it again. Please say why it does like this
    The solenoid is not available as a used part because this 7th gens are very few here...
    So i have a doubt that will the solenoids of 8th gen 2.4L accord will work as 8th gen accord used spares are available because the 8th gen accord are more here. Can anyone help me by seeing whether the 8th gen accord solenoid will work on 7th gen accord 2.4L
    Note: 8th gen accord automatic has a sports mode with paddle shifters but not the 7th gen accord also the part numbers of 8th gen and 7th accord Solenoids are different but they appear the same
    (Sorry for my bad english and a huge discription)

      I don't have access to any information other than Google for stuff like that. The transmissions are probably different. First thing I'd do for an issue as sever as that is take to to a mechanic to have the trans codes read. That should lead you down a better path than me just guessing. Another idea is to join a 7th Gen accord Facebook group and ask them, too. They can be a lot of help.

    • @Huss300
      @Huss300 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HFG I have taken it to the mechanic but they said the whole transmission needs to be changed, but the transmission only has a problem of shifting to 2nd gear not for other gears...

      Thank you.

    • @HFG
      @HFG  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Huss300 If you took the truck into a shop, Id ask them to show you what codes the trans has. It's entirely possible that it is bad. There could be a bad servo or something that leaks when the fluid is warm and thin, or some other internal issue. Maybe get a second opinion from a different shop that will tell you more. It's essentially impossible to diagnose it on the Internet. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help but I don't want to speculate and give you bad information.

      Oh ok awesome. Thank you so much. Also excellent video on the solenoids. Honda CRV is from 2002 all the way to 2006 or pretty much all the same. I’m not a mechanic, and I just learned through your video how to replace my solenoid. And one thing I also learned that you have to flush out your transmission fluid before you install a new solenoid on your transmission. If you do not flush it out and you just install or replace the solenoid you can damage your transmission and it’ll cost you arm and a leg to buy a whole new transmission

    • @HFG
      @HFG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mrbino1112 im glad it helped. If you're just changing the solenoid I don't think you have to flush the system. I did it because I thought maybe the fluid was part of my problem since it's had some hard miles on it. But I'd follow whatever advice Honda service data says. 👍🏼👍🏼

    Yep that was the problem, transmission ground, there two ground one on the engine side for engine managment electrinic and electric part operation and one on the transmission side fir the transmission electronics parts operation, if the transmission ground lost, the transmssiom electronics will use engine but with problems on the shifting, because the resistance will be hight from transmission electronics to engine, and to car body, because the groumd is too far away from transmissikn electronics, pass from the engine far side to ttansmission that what mad the connection bad, but it will work but not good.
    But my 1999 honda crv shifting and engine problem was somthing nobody will belive it, it was the mulfunction of the radio chip control, the radio is working fine but, it satays on even if i remove the tadio head, and that not normal, the radio suppose to go off once you rrmove its head that ocntrol everything on the radio, the car problems was rought engine idle, los of engine power, shifting hard, or delay shifting, i change a lot of part, TPS, MAP,... shift and clutch senoid but good oem used from ebay, the car was like that for a year, and everytime i change a part. the car operate good for a while till i thought i fixed the problem, and after day or two the car become bad again, till i said this car like intelligent and it playing with me, till i descover that the radio stayed on even after the head removal. Then i disconnected the harness from the radio, and the car engine strat idling good, the transmissinn shiftimg good, i couldnt believe it, the radio chip control is mulfunction and disturb the car electricity,
