This Russian neighborhood appears to be well though out. the architects created new buildings that were flashy and modern. However the designers also kept an old style building from Stalin' time; so there is a definite attempt to balance out progress with traditional structures. Nice video lovely Lisa, and thanks for broadening our understanding of Moscow diverse housing sectors.
The old Leonid Brezhnev days are over. You can see that reflected in the very modern looking Moscow City. Also in the many other new and modern areas that you video for us, Lisa. The Russian people are a smart people. Talented too. Many of the older areas are beautiful to me as well. The main building at Moscow State University maybe an older style of architecture but the building itself is still very impressive to me. Much like the Empire State building in New York City. Old but very impressive. Same with the Foreign Ministry building in Moscow as well. Keep up the good work, Lisa. You are good at what you do.
I learned that Russia built 110 million m2 of new housing in 2023, more than any other country in Europe. So called novostroikas. It's more than Germany, Britain, and France combined. And Russian company Pik Group is the largest construction company in Europe. Though it is strange that many of these new residential buildings have 8 to 25 floors considering the fact that Russia has by far the largest land mass in the world. I visited Kudrovo and Murino in the Leningrad oblast: although novostroikas seems to be of really good quality, have nice facades, good entrance areas, elevators... etc., it's strange how huge are most buildings in those two cities outside of St Petersburg. Kudrovo and Murino are how I imagined suburbs of small, high population density cities like Singapore and Hong Kong. 🙂
@@takoto2610 Well, what's so strange about that?...These multi-storey buildings are built exclusively in large cities by the standards of the West! Because if instead of these high-rise buildings there are 3-5-storey ones, then their cost will be twice as much! Because the land in the city is expensive! And the developer will recoup the costs due to the high cost of the apartments! And in general, multi-storey housing for large cities, especially megacities, is normal! I remind you. Moscow is the largest metropolis in Europe! About 20 million people live in Moscow and its suburbs! If all the houses are low-rise, then you will get to work tens and hundreds of kilometers away and will be stuck in traffic jams forever! It doesn't make sense, because the townspeople want to live closer to work. A private house in the city will cost a fortune! The city has a very long land, especially in Moscow! The city is a concentration of industries and trade! With low-rise housing in a megalopolis, the meaning of a big city is lost. Besides, not everyone wants to have a house, the one who wants to have a house lives outside the city! Single-storey and low-rise buildings are being built outside the city in new cottage settlements or in existing villages and urban-type settlements. There's no problem with that! It's just that bloggers mostly show you big cities and don't show cottage villages outside the city.

Awesome apartments for people who can afford. Not for everyone. Nice coffee shop you visited. Snow is a change of course. Hope it soon will melt. Will be snow tomorrow many places in Norway.
There was a similar level of trust in honesty in Austria and Germany in the sixties and early seventies, along with Scandinavia. Just hope that trust and honesty remains ingrained. New places look nice, but it takes time to develop the character and appeal. I still prefer some of the quirky old areas to new developments.

Very nice apartments with crazy high prices. When I was looking at apartments to buy in Krasnodar I find them unfinished for 2-3 million rub. It’s a warmer climate also.
Great Video Lisa! Apartments in our area outside Vancouver are quite expensive! Our children cannot afford to buy the ones that are older! Even with a double income! A nice apartment in our area would start around the same in Canadian dollars and then you add the strata which is generally an additional$350-$400 per month plus property tax! The down payment has to be quite substantial as well. Our kids are paying very high rents so saving for the down deposit becomes further and further out of reach! There is also a need for family oriented buildings as well!
In Russia property tax 0.1-0.2% from it's price. So, it's not much money. For me, property tax for 150 sq.m flat is about 5000 roubles (50$), and 200$ for utilities monthly (heating, water etc)
Lisa , what the west is not aware of is that Russia /Moscow is a world Class city …just like st .Petersburg was back 100’years ago …that’s why everyone is jealous of Russias success….Thanks for sharing…..Alex🇬🇷
When I think Moscow, I don't think the stereotypical weathered Soviet buildings. I think Apartments and High rise buildings, whether it's an older style Soviet building, or more in the modern building style like in this video. It looks nice, but I feel very claustrophobic with all these tall buildings in Moscow (I feel the same way at times when I'm in certain places in other big cities). I was raised in more of a typical American suburban situation (A grid of homes, with lots of green space, and typically a fairly sizable community park in walking distance.). I'd like to see those areas of Moscow.
👍Thanks again Lisa !... I Always enjoy your content ! I would definitely visit your country...if I could speak RUSSIAN ! Love to Lisa with Love from Australia ✈🦘🇦🇺🌹

Лизочка, the sunshine is deceiving (not "false") today. Or "we have deceiving sunshine today (with temperatures running just above freezing or xx degrees lower than usual)." Обманчивый = deceiving.
Great video Lisa. I can't believe the prices of these apartments, it doesn't make sense with the cist of living in Moscow. Vrey nice although I could never live in a big building like that I prefer a little country house.

A little over a grand for an apartment in the heart of Moscow ain't that bad. I pay 1450 for my place and is nowhere near downtown, long commute times to get to work and the grocery store.
Great video in my city Miami in the nice areas nothing near ths nice at this price it would cost you 3x4 times this much for the equivalent luxury housing or more. Even though unless wealthy people are maybe not making much more. These places look so nice in moscow
I can see why those apartments cost so much and I can also imagine they will have no trouble selling or renting them. As you know doubt know Russia is the host nation in 2024' to the BRICS ( Brazil India Russia China South Africa) nation conferences. These nations just overtook the West financially. The blocks are close to Moscow City business district so will be ideal for people working there who earn large salaries. It's impressive to see developing nations. Well, most of russia is still stuck in USSR times. Only biggest cities are doing good because most of the state money is focused on these cities, like moscow and st. Petersburg
@@Juhani96 Of course, in small cities there are no skyscrapers and proportion of luxury housing may be lower, but the majority of the population does not live in luxury housing. On the other side the availability of new housing in many small towns is higher than in Moscow, so these cities are being built faster and have everything for a comfortable life.
Beautiful 😍
Lisa , what the west is not aware of is that Russia /Moscow is a world
Class city …just like st .Petersburg was back 100’years ago …that’s why everyone is jealous of Russias success….Thanks for sharing…..Alex🇬🇷
Beautiful like always. Can't wait to come to Moscow.
where are you from?
Good luck with your trip 🌷
Hi Lisa, Is the Moscow Circus still around? Mikityuk’s Bear show was amazing back when it toured the US and Canada.
Love from India ❤
This Moscow "Sydney City" looks like a carbon copy design of the new 'Barangaroo' business district in Sydney.
Wow 👏🏾.
lisa you are beautiful from tanzania
Lisa, can you make a video about that fancy supermarket in Moscow City ? It has appeared in several videos from other TH-camrs but they never spend a lot of time there, maybe you could do a small video about it ? :)
Hello, which one? Vkusvill? Fancy supermarket in Moscow is Azbuka Vkusa ))
@@lisa_with_love that one :) I have seen some images of it and it looks pretty cool and exclusive :)
Those new apartment buildings are very nice. What internet speeds do they have in them? Do they come with washer / dryer? How close is the nearest grocery store? Thanks for the video.
Wonder of the world 🌍🌍🌍🌍
Лизочка, the sunshine is deceiving (not "false") today. Or "we have deceiving sunshine today (with temperatures running just above freezing or xx degrees lower than usual)." Обманчивый = deceiving.
I would prefer the more European style of St Petersburg.
Great video Lisa. I can't believe the prices of these apartments, it doesn't make sense with the cist of living in Moscow. Vrey nice although I could never live in a big building like that I prefer a little country house.
Single-storey and low-rise buildings are being built outside the city in new cottage settlements or in existing villages and urban-type settlements. There's no problem with that! It's just that bloggers mostly show you big cities and don't show cottage villages outside the city. These multi-storey buildings are built exclusively in large cities by the standards of the West! Land is very expensive in the city, especially in Moscow! The city is a concentration of industries and trade! With low-rise housing in a megalopolis, the meaning of a big city is lost.
@@Матьгородоврусских The blogger did show other places, mostly villages. And when I say I would prefer a small house it implies far away from the city. A "dacha" ideally would be more my style.
Our Lisa look lovely and cute even when freaking out because of weather. :) Very fancy district of the town. I thought in Russia you should se drunked muzhik fighting a bear bare handed and not this kind of luxury and clean housing.
Yes… let’s go to taiga and build a wooden house 😁
Is snow in May normal? I live in the Central Valley of California. It has been exceptionally cool here. It has been in the mid 60s F. Normally it's in the 80/90s F. Love your videos.❤
Not normal at all! It should be summer now 🤣 but it is Russia
It is beautiful. Must be cool weather, if I travel there should I bring Jacket ?
We have an axe throwing restaurant in my town too. I like babushka apartments, but that’s a nice neighborhood.
I like babushka houses… I live in one.. but I renovated it!!
Very nice. Moscow.
0:50 This is not even in downtown Moscow. When you say downtown, it's the city center, inside the Garden Ring. 😅
это входит в Центральный Административный Округ города Москвы
So.This will be Lisa's new home?So Rich !
When I hit 1 mil subs 🌷😁💪💪💪
@@lisa_with_love That is a good short term goal
I'm sure you can reach it.
Min. 9:07 T14 Armata in motion. 🤭
Do you mean dilivery man?
@@lisa_with_love Yes, exactly him. 😅
@@MrDoublestroke😂😂
A little over a grand for an apartment in the heart of Moscow ain't that bad.
I pay 1450 for my place and is nowhere near downtown, long commute times to get to work and the grocery store.
So much ❤Love from 💙nagpur, India. Go ahead...
Great video in my city Miami in the nice areas nothing near ths nice at this price it would cost you 3x4 times this much for the equivalent luxury housing or more. Even though unless wealthy people are maybe not making much more. These places look so nice in moscow
Very interesting
12:32 я хочу фото себя на таком фоне 😍😍😍
Tuyệt đẹp và thơ mộng
👳🇵🇰👳So beautiful Moscow👳🇵🇰👳 nice
Thanks ✨💫🌸🌸🌸
This new residential area simultaneously looks a like skyline of downtown Omaha Nebraska USA on a bay of Moussri river….!
Hi Lisa ❤️🇷🇺🦾😇🌹👋
I think it looks pretty cool, embracing some new capital free market stuff while saving some old cultural artifacts. 😎👍🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺💎💎💎
Lisa you seem to go all over Moscow on your own - do you feel the city is safe, or is it safe in only some of the areas?
@@АНДРЕЙ3500 Спасибо
Very safe.. Just don’t walk at night and avoid creepy guys 😊
It's like a rage room
I can see why those apartments cost so much and I can also imagine they will have no trouble selling or renting them. As you know doubt know Russia is the host nation in 2024' to the BRICS ( Brazil India Russia China South Africa) nation conferences. These nations just overtook the West financially. The blocks are close to Moscow City business district so will be ideal for people working there who earn large salaries. It's impressive to see developing nations. You're doing a lot better than the UK!
Growing up in the USA in the 80's and 90's Russia seemed like a poor, depressing, and backward country. At least that was the view we were given. Now it seems better than America. Sad what's been done to my country. I can't even comment on what's going on here without it getting deleted.
Well, most of russia is still stuck in USSR times. Only biggest cities are doing good because most of the state money is focused on these cities, like moscow and st. Petersburg
@@Juhani96 You are not right. Moscow is on 58th place in housing construction per inhabitant. This is worse than the average in Russia.
@@evgeniybrendakov4057 that might be true, but quality of infrastructure and housing is another level in biggest cities
If this channel allows you to give links to the video, I will give several examples of medium-sized cities below
That _perth_ district looks like *the worst* modern (brrrrrrr) nightmare *ever.* Ah... just give me a *good ol' traditional Babushka-style design **_ANY_** day.* 😍😍😍
