I have listened to A LOT of different players for the last few years and I can tell this about Nick... He is one of those few guys whose phrasing NEVER EVER sounds mechanic. He's dynamic af seriously. My respect.
he has some dinamics, but he certainly can sound mechanic, he will be the first to tell you that a big part of his improvs are based on muscle memory, and it is very easy to tell that. every guitarist uses muscle memory, it's necesary, but some use it more than others, some even have the skill and taste to use it in a way that it's very musical so it is not so easy to tell. nick is an amazing talent, one of the best new modern guitarists, but when he improvs (and also in some of his compositions?, he, as most everybody, has a lot to work on, not sounding mechanic a lot of time is one the issues he has to work on, just my opinion. cheers.
OMG What a nice player. Never i see a guitarplayer that has so many beautyfull songs for me. I love Guitar based instrumental Albums. This guy has the onepice for me. Love his feeling for melody dynamiks and artikulations. What a inspiration for guitarplayer. He get me really on fire to make more with the instrument. He shows the beautyness of the Guitarsound anotherlevel for me.
All the shredding in the world is impressive, and nick does it so well. But look at the effect it has on someone at 12.25 when you play something groove orientated and melodic. That guy behind the speaker, he was loving it!
Wow, those Line 6 L2M's sure do produce a great sound with that Kemper. Very convincing. I use the L2M at home, but have never pushed it very far. Glad to see it can handle the work.
I'm trying to get into Nick's work since he's amazing. What's the song he's playing around the 5 min mark? Was that a song made specifically for this or is that a song he's previously released?
Sounds like Remarkably Human, one of his new tracks. I think the song starts around 3:20 :) The whole album is great and well worth listening to if you haven't already.
That model isn't finalized yet. It was shown at NAMM as a 'coming soon' product. The reason I'm using this model is because it was the main release for 2017.
Nick is just ridiculously good. Insane tone, phrasing and touch.
And an insane beard tooo

Nick is the mean of the "guitar playing" expression. It's like the guitar is part of him. Just Insane
awesome strat sound & tasty playing - great
Simplesmente impressionante, esse sem dúvida é um dos guitarrista que criou a sua identidade, muito bom gosto na base, nos solos e improvisos!

...and the mighty Kemper strikes again. Loving the "ode to Firkins" and that runaway train at 2:28
So much Grrrrreat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
25:00 reminds me of the outro to Trial of Tears by Dream Theater. "it's raining, raining, raining deep in heeeeeaaaven". :)

Didn't play the set on his newly released lower end signature, wtf?
TDOVmusic Not sure why he chose not to play this set on that model, but I did get a chance play it for a minute and I thought it was very nice.

Hi Nick! I now regret the profanity :'( Totally makes sense, thank you for the info! Big fan here, love your stuff, so unique!!!!
Nick, Do you have any ballpark figures of pricing on the diamond series?
Hi, Nick! Nice feeling and playing! Could you tell which gear was used over the video?
most cliched and most applicable comment "How Can Anybody Dislike This???!!"
better than Guthrie, and thats a maddening statement
william mac Certainly most tuneful. He’s a joy to listen to.
It's not a competition ma dude ... Both are amazing with different approaches👍
