In this video I demonstrate how to de-noise and de-reverb your recordings in Logic Pro 11 with Stem Splitter and the AUSoundIsolation plugin. These are great stock tools that allow you to reduce background noise, reverb, and other extraneous noise from your recordings.

You deserve an award for action well beyond the field of duty... I made that up, but it sounds right. Cheers

Dude, this video and the one you made about the AUSoundIsolation plugin are pure gold. They've been extremely helpful. Made me appreciate Logic even more. Thank you!

You make excellent vids my friend, you’re by far my fave Logic content maker. Pretty solid results from this test too!

Super helpful for me because I have been taking people talking from movies or commercials like my most recent tune and isolating the vocals from the other sounds is unlocking so many more potential things to sample now!! ❤ I prefer to do it to things that aren’t singing, but this will also help clean up self vocal takes too! 🎉❤

Cool! I had a vaguely similar idea, to break the sample down and run it in linear, or mono on a poly. tracker. Now I need to work out how to have these morphing organically. lol obsessed

I think this approach is better than izotope for this application because with RX, you need a little room tone to train the denoising and it works best on stable background noise. Maybe dialog isolate would be close in RX. But….$$$. I have been using stem splitter quite a bit lately to save vocals that were recorded near other instruments. I’ve gotten completely usable vocals where once there was no hope.

@ MusicTechHelpGuy---do you think you can make a video on how to record vocals using a interface / microphone, for or beginners? I do have a apple M1. With Logic 11. Thank you for your help 👍

Check out his videos and do a quick search there. He just did a complete training series that has an episode for recording vocals. I’m pretty sure he has done a few others in the past. He’s a good resource to subscribe to because he has been putting out fresh content consistently for YEARS. Logic hasn’t changed very much in the last 10 years with respect to recording, so even older videos are completely usable.

Good trick. I have Waves Clarity. The only way it had worked i had to open logic in rosetta. Now for for some reason logic wont open in rosetta mode. So this is simple as it get.. Thanks MAn..

The Waves DeReverb plug-in worked for me in Logic native, but I'm a few Logic versions behind (10.7.7). Are you trying to run it with Logic 11?

hello :) sorry, somewhat unrelated question but ever since i've updated logic, every time i use one of the sounds from the llibrary on the left, logic freezes and i have to restart. can't use them :( any tip what i could do?

Since I don't have the M chip Mac will this work if I use RIP X and the AUSoundisolation plug in? I'm running Logic 11 just not an M series Mac.

to be honest that fan was nothing compared to the noise most of us get from our fans while recording
