I was raised and lived in Seymour for 30+ years. I am residing in Western NY area now for the past 15 or so years. Thank you for bringing back some memories of the area. Seymour is known for quite a bit. It is home to Keyrite who was a company that played a part in the transatlantic cable. It's known in the paranormal circles about Cemetery rd and also Hell house. And in the movie "Other people's Money" was also filmed in parts in Seymour.
Nice ride. I live in the town. One of the buildings on the corner of Main Street and Bank burned down this year, so it was bittersweet to see it in the video. One part of town that I would have liked to see is the waterfall.
Lots of memories in Seymour! The waterfall was nice when the water levels weren't high. Otherwise it looked like it was going to flood the city lol. I spent a lot of time at the pool hall up 67 and had family on Smith Street. Thanks for stopping in and commenting, you are lucky to live in this beautiful city.
Hey 601 TRAVELS, Great video!!!! Next time you travel, could you please make a video of Waxahachie,Texas? I've heard it's a pretty place and my mother's boyfriend went there a few months ago back in May of 2019 to see his grand daughter graduate from college!!!!! You should go to Waxahachie!!!!!!
Hey Kevin! Might be a real possibility as I am planning a route that will be bring my through Dallas. I googled Waxahachie and it looks awesome! I will see what I can do. Thanks for stopping in :)
Hey Rogue! Good to see you my friend. It's been going good, trying to get caught up on here and film more content. Hope you are doing well I appreciate you stopping in.
Slow down 601! How much was fuel, I couldn’t see it, were paying about $1.60 per litre in Australia, but you yanks pay per gallon I think? Nice old buildings I see here also and some country... a different kind of drive/town this one👍
I believe gas was ranging from $2.60-$2.90 per gallon for the cheap stuff up in Connecticut while I was there. Seymour is a pretty laid back older town and is where I got married 17 years ago 😍👍
Yeah you sure do. I bet we could compare prices of a lot of things and there would be a huge variation. For example, I don't smoke but a pack of cigarettes in Connecticut was over $12 per pack ($120+ per carton). When I was a kid, about 8 or 9, I used to ride my bike down to this hole in the wall deli and and used to buy them for my parents and they were around $2/$3. I also had my own tab for cans of soda lol.. those were the days.. That state is known for high real estate taxes, motor vehicle taxes and just high prices in general on everything. If it can be taxed, it will be taxed, excessively.
601 TRAVELS a pack of cigarettes here is about $60. Last time I was in America I only got 50 cent per Australian dollar and it was still cheaper for me to buy clothes and things from your shops.
Yeah I think I’m done with ct for a while. Honestly was a very bittersweet and emotionally draining experience going back. I think my next venture will be to the central plains.

Thats nuts! If you ever make your way over here I'll buy you a beer and we can talk about important things like climate change 😂🤔
This had to be a month or so ago. I bet the leaves are changing colors now
Yes this was taken in July and I believe the foliage is in full force now. One of the only things I really ‘miss’ about living in Connecticut.
