Just finish it yesterday and gotta say that it's pretty unbalanced. Calamity weapon seems unbalanced if fought with some vanila boss and if you play without turning at least vengeance mode on. In Split, the weapon looks cool but lots of the item doesn't really work well and the stat of the weapon doesn't align with the boss progression. I actually had to use a mod to prefix the damage so it scale with the current boss. For example the macro bow. It's a fun looking boomerang bow but also a late-game weapon with bad stats

I choose the mod than Thorium or MoR specifically of the reason its unbalanced with vanilla but compatible with it's mod which in the context of my criticism but I'm sorry, I seem to overestimate the value of brain cells y'all calamity haters have. Hate the mod because it's popular than the mod you like? hah what a joke

The strongest ranged weapon in the game is actually overflow. it can reach up to 4000-6000 single target DPS with the right setup.

Trifesta + chloro bullets is the way to go, he is really not all that hard once you learn how to dodge the swords and heat snap
