I doubt that I would be able to make a replacement grip last 3 months, I have played with replacement grips and they tend to "slide apart" which creates a gap because there is barely any overlap and the glue is not enough to stop this from happening. I also tend to create tears in my overgrips after two hitting sessions, so I can't imagine that this won't happen with a replacement grip within 6 hitting sessions. But all of these are personal to me and a lot of people would probably benefit from just using a replacement grip. As for the difference in feel, using just two overgrips where you only replace one gives even more feel to me than just using a replacement grip. In the end it all comes down to personal preference and I like hearing different perspectives because I might find something new that I like.
@@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegeten thanks for sharing! I've never met anyone who goes through overgrips so fast! As for the slipping replacement grip there is a chance it isn't being placed on correctly. Make sure there is no water or sweat as well when you are placing it. Yes you are correct. At the end of the day everyone needs to find what works for them. Thanks for sharing I'm sure it will help someone
I use leather grip and I sweat quite a lot (and by a lot I mean nadal level here😂) . So without over grip, it kinda impossible for me to not lose my racket (already try without once and once is more than enough🥲). But if its some type of synthetic grip, I kinda understand your point as well.👍
@@chindanaisanguanboon4025 yeah if you are sweating a lot than it makes more sense to switch out your overgrips in-between games!! Just out of curiosity ,Have you tried any of the water absorbing synthetic grips though? Leather tends to not absorb moisture very well from what I've experienced.
@@PreciseTennisStringing Yes, I have tried a couple of synthetic grips before and quite like the feel of head's hydrosorb pro. But in the end I like those sharp bevel feel of leather grip more, so I ended up with it.
@@chindanaisanguanboon4025 I totally understand. It's hard to beat the feel of leather. It's a shame you have to put on overgrip on for your sweat, but I'm glad you found something that works for you!
On Amazon, there are these overgrips called panda.. you can get 100 of them for 45 bucks They are terrible, but I’ve gotten used to them The white grips are the best… black and orange are the worst
I personally like Yonex's synthetic leather grip! I don't have very sweaty hands so it's a nice balance of a little tackiness plus great feel. If you sweat a lot, I liked head hydrosorb. I also enjoyed babolat's grips for tackiness. Gamma also has a great grip for best bang for buck called hitech grip!
NOTHING is better than a leather grip. I only use a leather grip with 1 (whites only, no colors allowed) overgrip (Wilson Pro Overgrip or Yonex Supergrap)
@@matrix2000x2 Sounds like a sexy set up! I agree that if you want maximum feel + tackiness, the overgrip/leather is a great combination. Leather is also a bit more pricey, so you gotta keep that in mind!
