Core memory for me is my Aunt making these when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure there is a Bierock shop still in Fresno. Must try next time I’m back home. Thanks for the recipe!🤘
They look so very good. I love German Cabbage Pockets. I'm glad I watched it all because now I've learned how to shape them to bake. 🎉 Thank you so much.❤
I have made these with my grandma for years. We do not chop it all up in food processer. We just cut everything really small to begin with, so if you dont have a food processor no worries. We also bake them side by side and let them rise again. She always put butter on top after they came out of oven. SO good. Great to freeze. My grandma put them in foil and then in zip lock to help keep them nice in freezer.
I’ve been making these for 30 years. It’s not my first rodeo. The long version I said you don’t have to chop it. I explained why I do. My Beerocks are perfection!
Why would I want to wrap my food in foil? I’m against aluminum foil sitting on my food for any amount of time. The food savers system is an upgrade. I literally demonstrated a perfect beerock.

Do you need to do the dough in a bread machine because I don’t have one thank you 🙏
You can mix it, by hand, and let it proof, in a large container , in the refrigerator overnight.
why does it have to proof in the refrigerator?
The video shows how easy chilled and proofed dough is to work with.
