  • Learn my favorite yoga adjustments! Child's Pose adjustment, Pigeon Pose adjustment, Forward Fold adjustment and many other Hatha/Ashtanga adjustments.
    ♥ ONLINE 200-HR YTT W/ ME: www.brettlarkin...
    Below are the exact yoga adjustments I show in what order so yoga teachers (or those looking to do yoga teacher training) can easily find them.
    1. Yoga Adjustment Downward Facing Dog
    2. Warrior 2 Hands On Yoga Adjustment
    3. Triangle Pose Trikonasana Hands On Yoga Adjustment
    4. Child's Pose Hands On Yoga Adjustment
    5. Yoga Adjustment for Pigeon Pose
    6. Forward Fold (Paschimottanasana) Yoga Adjustment
    These yoga adjustments are great for yoga teachers, but also just for trusted friends!
    It's easy for you to give the yoga adjustment for child's pose or downdog to a friend, family member, or fellow teacher. Just always ask them for feedback so you know your adjustment isn't too strong :)
    Of all these yoga adjustments, the forward fold yoga adjustment is my favorite. It feels SO good on my low back (although the Balasana - Child's Pose - adjustment is a top pick too)
    Enjoy, be safe, and have fun with these yoga adjustments!

    What a treat to get both of you at the same time! I love both of your channels. As a teacher I am sometimes unsure how to assist and don't want to hurt anyone so I don't give the yummy assists that you were showing today and I'm so glad that you showed me how!

    I loved this tutorial. These are fantastic adjustments that I can’t wait to try on students. I can almost feel what they would feel like as you were doing them. I’m excited to try them and also feel them used on myself. Thank you for sharing !! I’m going to share this with other instructors that I know ! Xo

    good assists and to add , new students may not be able to get to 90 degrees in the front leg in the warriors series. It takes time for muscles to lengthen, especially men who are extremely tight. Good job !

    Hey when I am in downward dog i try to put my weight on my fingers but still it goes on wrist what should i do

    • @BrettLarkinYoga
      @BrettLarkinYoga  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can fold your mat over to make a little shelf for the heels of your hands to rest on. This helps keep the pressure out of the wrists. Yoga Jellies are also an option.

    Keen to see subtle adjustments also, maybe starting with one and two fingertips pressure points and then more- minimal is usually more doable in a class setting. But powerful assists Brett- thanks much- they need to be known and applied. And the giggling student under your bum looks like shes done some yoga. All the best

    A lot of touching. I don’t want my yoga teacher to touch me like that.

    • @BrettLarkinYoga
      @BrettLarkinYoga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Teachers should always ask for consent before touching!

      Would u say the same to a ballet teacher or martial arts teacher? It’s like going to an Italian restaurant and not wanting pasta!

    I would never come back to your class if you put your foot on my hands. Also you as a teacher may loose balance and then cause injury.
