using both hands during a handshake can also indicate a special fondness or an expression of caring...it does not always mean "showing who is boss"...all of these "facts" are relative to the people doing them, they are Not one size fits all.

In some cultures, making eye contact is a sign of respect. My ex boyfriend once had a knife pulled on him because he wasn't looking the guy he had just met in the eye. He wears bi-focals and took them off for a minute to adjust themwas and the guy took offense feeling he had somehow been disrespected and pulled out a knife. After calming the guy down, he was able to find this out as to why the guy did that. It was a scary situation. He now makes sure to make eye contact with every person he meets while conversing with them and so do I.

The warm hand thing does just the opposite for me. If I shake someone's hand after we've been talking it makes me think not trust worthy. When your lying or anxious your body temp rises you warm up. If they are clammy that tells me just nervous, if they are still cool that tells me you've been relaxed the whole time and I shouldn't be alarmed by anything you just said. I don't know maybe my wires are just crossed lol

When encountering someone and the gesture of reaching out to shake hands results with their having grasped you by the fingers, know their very revealing body language is telling you they're trying to control you. So, quickly taking the lead, with confidence, a full grasping of their hand is the right way to do it. Keeping in mind this is wherein the webbing between the thumb and first fingers of both hands touch. Then you grasp firmly, shaking briefly, to make it appropriately clear you can appreciate and/or respect them. Don't forget that if they've begun the handshake by grabbing you by the fingers, it is a rude, subconscious example of their being disingenuous by their attempt to control you from that point forward.

I can't help but cross my arms all the time, I have to constantly tell myself to uncross them only to find 10 minutes later I crossed them again then I'm having an inner argument with myself for not listening. I still try to uncross my arms. It's just more comfortable and I feel in control of myself when they are crossed. I don't jump to conclusions, I analyze what's being said to me. If I'm open I'm more quickly to blurt out what I'm thinking and can offend someone. Or not really pay attention fully ,because I'm more focused on not crossing my arms. There's more to just the simple explanations

Only heard about 10 so far most of which I would disagree with. Culture, experience, the environment you grew up in, what you have been taught, if you grew up in military family, all of these should be factored in to be able to correctly determine why someone is doing one of these particular gestures. For example, sometimes a person will touch their nose because it itches. Also, sometimes a person will touch their nose to try and politely indicate to someone that they have something in their nose in an attempt to not embarrass them. So it does not always mean a person is lying. Have an Amazing Day Everyone! Smiles 🙂🙂🙂 Please take one and pass one on to help make someones day a little bit brighter!

    Bonus ,
    • If you ever feel like you’re being watched, or you wake up in the middle of the night randomly and look at a specific spot, chances are you were being watched and something (whether visible or invisible) is there. The brain is somehow keen on picking these things up, just as how someone can look at you sleep and you wake up and look at them. Or you’re on the bus, in class, at work, or in public and you turn around and someone is looking at you...
    _______________________________________
    • The CIA is looking into the “gut feeling”, Why? Many soldiers knew not to take a turn that would have lead to their demise even disobeying direct orders because they had a “gut feeling” according to the research it’s 80%!true and approximately 90% when you believe someone is lying.
