Generally, christianity and all other god based religions lack any logical foundation starting with the fact that they are all geographically and/or familiarly constrained. There are of course exceptions, most of which were achieved through violence (Africa, native Americans). And then there is the amazing omniscience of god. So he knows each person who will not follow him and why, and he has the power to fix it, but chooses not to. He allows a lot of people to enter into eternal torment when he could have designed conditions that would allow all to make the right choice. This is not just, this is not loving, this is evil, or just a mistake due to the limited understanding of the authors of the story. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate god. Wait a minute... God talked about his people (Israel) wearing His law upon their foreheads and on their hands (Ex 13:16; Dt 6:8). We were having a discussion about the mark of the beast in church. My Pastor’s wife brought up a good point, that the mark of the beast may not be something man-made. But it could be something like the mark God put upon Cain, except it would be from satan. The mark would be your mindset, since that’s in your forehead. God instituted the Sabbath in the Garden of Eden. He is our creator. That is why we worship him. And the Sabbath is an everlasting testament to his worship.
Now, Rev. 14:9 (please read to keep this short) tells us that if we worship the beast and his image they will receive a mark and drink of Gods wrath.
Symbols are used in Daniel and Revelation to depicts certain things.
Rev. 12.
Rev13 tells us that a dragon gave power, seat and authority.
Dragon=Satan moving throughout history.
Beast=Papacy.
It’s identical in Daniel 7.
1260 days = 1260 years These are the dark ages of Papal rule. From 538 AD to 1798.
So add all this up and the mark of the beast is Sunday worship in place of Gods Sabbath, the 7th day.
It’s about worship. And it’s about lifestyle. Do you worship the Pope, a man? Or do you worship the creator?
