Jesus warns, “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna” (Matt 10:28). The Greek word for “destroy” (ἀπόλλυμι; apóllumi) denotes loss of life (i.e., death; Matt 2:13; 10:39; 26:52; 27:20), which indicates that Gehenna (commonly translated “hell”) consumes those who enter it. The imagery in Matthew 25 of a fire that brings the “punishment” of death underscores the destruction in 10:28 (cf. 25:41; Isa 66:24). Yet, while Yeshua describes a place of obliterative judgment where people cease to exist, he also alludes to the lawless being “thrown into the fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (13:42, 50). This description seems to suggest that those in the fire remain conscious and emotive. Careful textual analysis can resolve this apparent contradiction: the fire destroys both the body and soul, but there is weeping and gnashing of teeth prior to destruction.
According to Matthew, Jesus says that “there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” in a “furnace of fire” (κάμινον τοῦ πυρός; káminon tou puros; 13:42, 50). More often, the forum for this eschatological emotionality is “outer darkness” (σκότος τὸ ἐξώτερον; skótos tò exóteron; 8:12; 22:13; 25:30). Both images describe the same reality, and the “outer darkness” can clarify the “fiery furnace.” In Matthew, “darkness” (σκότος; skótos) is a metaphor for impending death or destruction. First, the Gospel cites Isaiah: “The people dwelling in darkness (σκότος) have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death (σκιᾷ θανάτου), on them a light has dawned” (Matt 4:16; cf. Isa 9:1 LXX). Jesus’ ministry saves those who sit under looming death. Second, the Sermon on the Mount uses “darkness” to illustrate miserliness with earthly treasures that “moth and rust destroy” (6:19-23). Finally, before Jesus’ death “there was darkness over all the land” (27:45) and, shortly thereafter, Yeshua “yielded up his spirit” (27:50). Where there is darkness, death is not far behind. Thus, when Matthew mentions “weeping and gnashing” in outer “darkness,” readers should envision the despair that occurs just before destruction in Gehenna. By extension, the same scenario should be true of the “weeping and gnashing” at the fiery furnace: just before death, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
In Luke, Jesus confirms that “weeping and gnashing of teeth” happen before the unrighteous enter Gehenna. Anticipating his end-time words to the rebellious, Yeshua declares, “Depart from me, all you workers of evil. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you [are] being cast out” (13:27-28; cf. Matt 8:11-12). The Greek word for “being cast out” (ἐκβαλλομένους; ekballoménous) describes presently occurring action: as these people are in the process of departing from divine presence, they cry and grind their teeth when they see the righteous in God’s increasingly distant kingdom. The outcasts weep and gnash on their way to hell, not inside of it. According to Matthew, after this expression of emotion the expelled are extinguished (10:28); no one continues to kvetch once they get to Gehenna. Insofar as Luke illuminates Matthew, the Gospels present a coherent picture of an eschatological exit in which sorrow and anger-“weeping and gnashing of teeth”-precede decisive death on the outskirts of eternal life.
This thought use to give me existential anxiety and panic attacks. Eventually, I would put the "brakes" on my brain when thinking that and wouldn't let it ruminate on it. I was raised without religion with entirely New Age ideas. Today I am a Christian and I sit comfortably with the idea that He has always been there. If that's not enough for someone else, I sympathize but at least for me, it is now enough. God is order and sometimes we overcomplicate the things He laid out in a simple manner. We trouble ourselves

I used to be this way too. it used to give so many panic attacks. now it doesn't at all. He is God! I am human, I don't need to have it all figured out, because God has it all figured out ❤. I don't know everything but the God I serve Does. And our future is held in Him. Tonight I was scared about “what if god isn’t real” but this has shown me that god HAS to be real. Thank you, I’m now not scared of that.

That's why Im the opinion that Gods existence doesn't matter but only your believe in it. Because if you believe in it then he exists for you, no matter if he really does or not.
But that is a little to little for many people as I have heard. It would feel meaningless but for me it doesn't so you have to figure that out for yourself. And it doesn't matter anyways because until now the real physical existence of God could not be proven or disproven. Thats why it is called believing in God in the first place and not knowing of God or something like that, for me he will always be real tho because he is the truth.

@@foxesruler For me, it was really stopping and thinking through the idea that if everything needs a cause for its existence...then we (people) could never exist. Why? Because there would be an infinite number of 'causes' that cease to end. In order for something to exist there must have been a 'cause'. Well, if you have cause 1, then what created cause 1? Obviously, it would be cause 2, and then cause 2 was created by cause 3 and so on and so on. There's an infinite number of 'causes' with no definitive beginning. Indeed God is very real and always have been and when He called me to come to Him in very unusual way that my mind was blown completely and funny thing is I did not even knew it until I wanted to say yes and my actions proved that yes

I nearly went into psychological depression when I first thought about this. I kept saying to myself "Don't question God" but it was so difficult not to think about it. I used to try and think of other things, but that didn't work. And now I see this video. Thank you. Now my soul is at peace. I now know that God is life. God is eternal. He is not to be questioned. He created time, so there would be no way to say that He existed for a certain amount of *time*. I can now go to bed knowing that God is just eternal and does not exist from a certain force. I am glad to hear you are at peace and have found the truth. However, the idea that God is not to be questioned is wrong. That is to imply that we humans don't have a reason to question him, which is once again wrong because we dont know everything. In fact, questioning God can often times be a good thing. For example, you wondering where God came from has lead you to search for the answer, which has lead you to this video which gave you the answer, which in turn has prepared you with the word of Christ, which has re-enforced your faith and amplified your ability to defend said faith. Not just that, but to imply that God is not to be questioned is to suggest to outsiders that Christianty is a religion of mindless followers who don't think about what they believe. There should be no skepticism when we follow Christ. skepticism is resolved by answers, and answers require questions. my friend explained it rlly well, she said it’s like H2O, it’s 3 parts but all one thing, God himself couldn’t be near sin so he made himself into human form, (Jesus) to be able to understand us and die for us. the 3rd part is the holy spirit which is also Gods spirit which is the helper that comforts us and also rests inside us! hence the name (Father,Son,Holy Spirit) I HOPE THIS HELPED! I love the part in John where Jesus said " Even before Abraham was born I AM." It just gives me comfort to know He has always been, is and will forever exist.
That's a mistranslation on your part. When he ask for God's name, and say I AM. He was implying for us to say it out loud. Who's God? I AM. As in ALL of us. Jesus constantly told us how the kingdom of heaven is within us. We're all beings of divine light, and we all have a fractal of God/Source divinity within us.
Also the God of the OT and the Father of Christ aren't the same God. A lot of Christians don't seem to get that or haven't actually studied the bible in its entirety.

It’s hard to imagine something or someone eternal since we are subject to time and space here on earth. It’s truly a mind blow. My brain can’t even handle it. I’m amazed by his vastness and enormity. There’s not even a word we have that can properly describe Him. He’s everything and much much more! More than what our finite minds can even think or imagine.
That's the point, if are brains can't even handle the universe as we are still finding new things or getting corrected on concepts we were wrong about, how much more can we say that God isn't real or he is not eternal? Are human brains are smart, but compared to everything else, we account for less that 0.1% percent of knowledge, especially to God, our minds cannot handle certain things.

The fact the God lives outside of time explains that our ways are not His ways and our thoughts are not His thoughts. We can not fathom all things this side of Heaven but once we're in Heaven we'll be like Him and we'll be better able to comprehend things that are puzzling to us now.

As true 'nothing' does not exist by definition, it is impossible for nothing to exist, thus the void gives rise to everything. True 'nothing' has no reference point or properties and is impossible to conceptualise. This concept is known as Sunyata in Buddhism.

you answered my question bro. i was at the point of questioning who created Him week ago and praying to Him to answer this. i almost lost in faith because it suddenly comeup to my mind about creating God without answers. now i realized that God still answer for He says in John 14:13 " Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. "
Then why didn’t my father survive? “If you ask anything in my name, I will do it” so then why let my father rot in his hospital bed for months? He was alive, all he needed to do was wake him up. His whole side of the family was religious and prayed everyday, hell even I did once in a while so why? Why was that so hard for god?

He is the king of kings He will decide your destiny. not all can live forever it means life is too short in this world, because it is not infinite. Like my mom died in cancer last year i prayed to Him i want my mom to stay in this world but it is You who will decide its up to Him." so what i did is to i ask my mom let us pray because i believe in matthew 18:20 "that 2 or more gathered in His name He will be there." because i want my mom before she will die we called Him by His name. God made time so he is outside of time, had no beginning because he made a begining, there was no timeline or sequence of events before God.

He's already given us the answers on what to do you obviously don't read or understand the bible
God gave you the ability to understand and He told born again Christians (me) to tell all people (you) that we all sin against God and He made a way for our sins to be forgiven. Jesus, who is God manifest in the flesh, came down to earth. He lived a sinless life and then laid down His life and was beaten and crucified, shedding His blood for the remission of your sin. He was buried and rose again from the grave after 3 days, He walked on the earth for 40 days, and over 500 people saw Him at one time. A bunch of other people saw Him and even touched Him until He was raised up to heaven, showing that He is the perfect sinless sacrifice.

God is the devine energy thats always been there
A human being cannot comprehend an entity that has always been. That is God and is beyond our comprehension. I believe all things will be revealed to us in Heaven.
I remember reading something like this somewhere on the internet, where one person was asking, “what if ultimately God is not real?”, and the answer was, “ If God is not real then I have wasted my life but if ultimately God is real then you have wasted your eternity”
If God is not real, then people MUST give evidence how we got all this to exist on its own naturally. NO ONE can do that. Law of Causality - There is no beginning or change of existence without a cause. We have NO evidence for anything in nature not having a cause. When people accept something in nature that has no cause, they are into science fiction, NOT science.
This is one of the philosophical ideas of Blaise Pascal. Its call Pascal's Wager and follow the same ideia: If god dont exist i have a finite loss, but If he exists i have infinite gain.

I will advise y’all to be careful with what you say and how you say it, because when it come to relationship with God, only God and the child of God knows the depth of their relationship with eachother. @THUGNIFICENT4g I'm going to be honest with you (I'm not a Christian btw). There is no "proof" of God. At the end of the day it's a matter of faith. Every single Christian proof is filled with logical fallacies to the point where you could only believe them if you desperately wanted to. If there was a solid unalienable proof it would be the most known thing in the Christian-sphere. Every missionary would lead with that proof and every debate about God would utilize that proof. A lack of proof doesn't mean that God doesn't exist, it just means there isn't a way to know. That's where faith comes in.

God lives outside of SPACE + TIME. He created the fabric of reality and nothing could ever be without Him. Space and time is just a box to Him. He is so grand and big you cannot put Him in that box. Your mind will blow further if you think that the physical(Universe) and spiritual(Heaven) universe coexist on each other.
Before Adam sinned, you can't tell which is spiritual or physical since they coexist on each other. I believe that the Garden of Eden ain't a physical realm but a spiritual one that's why no one finds it up until now.
He said "for things to be there must be something eternal" this eternal thing is the space i.e. matter and energy. They didn't have a beginning, they were here for ever.

Thank you 🙏🏼 as a Christian I was struggling explaining this to our 7 year old daughter who asked the question, who created God.
When my grandkids ask questions like that about God, I just stick with the truth as I know it. God is real but we aren't meant to know what heaven, or hell or reincarnation is or what he looks like or who he is, and btw if we were Hindus we'd he using the she pronoun. I don't know, know one knows. We just have faith he exists.
I just tell them to follow his rules and we review the 10 commandments.

Living forever is not something you want because you're going to run into the same repeatable events, you basically do the same things over and over again forever. Immortality is no good.

He tell us that there are things stored up for in Heaven, and there are things no eye or you he has professed meaning we will see things never ever revealed to us on earth but only in heaven. It won’t be bad to live forever, our God is a creative God. Just look at the level of deign of the human body, how intricately woven it is. Only by the hand of someone with great power and creative abilities, all in which humans have the ability to do, create stuff, but not from nothing like God can, but with existing materials. The creativity at heart comes from our minds. So if we can create cool things, and we are in his image, then just think of the creativity in heaven. To bow before him and worship him forever will be the greatest gift Jesus has given me and I give him the Glory. Ya never know what immortality is like till you experience, but how great of a God we have for him to tell us what we’ll see in heaven and how immortality is about endless endless joy, basking in him! I have felt his presence here on Earth and I can tell you this, Immortality is gonna be a blast because of the love I felt from him. Immortality is a nightmare
That's a question I no longer care about as I did when I was in my youth and questioned everything. All I know now is that once I accepted God into my life as an adult and walked the path he had set out for me, my life improved tenfold. I feel humble and at peace most of the time and I try my best to let the world stress me out.

Actually, the universe did not "start" it always existed, because time was "created" with the universe, so if something caused it to happen, that something happened before the big bang, which cannot be as the big bang "created" time, so in science, the universe is also eternal, it's just that 13.8 it began to expand from the eternal singularity (the infinitely dense point).
And let's say that hypothetically the universe is not eternal. That only means that there is some cause, not anything about the nature of that cause, it could be a complex natural process, or god, or bill cipher, or the omnipotent spaghetti monster. So even in that case, it's only logical to assume a cause, not what the cause is. And believing in god is assuming A LOT about what the cause is (i.e. "intelligent, caring, loving, good, etc' "). So no, you're argument does not hold.

The thought of something that has just always been around with no origins whatsoever is a concept that humans are more than likely afraid to grasp, especially if said something is a living thing. I think that we will all get the answers we seek once we go to the light when we die and see what awaits us in the next phase of existence.
Thinkers spin in circles with the paradox of space and time, but what they fail to comprehend is that we place our lense on God. It's the same as people questioning the authenticity of the Bible when man wrote it. I tell my kids that if God is big enough to put all of this into motion doesn't it stand to reason that 1) we can't fathom him in this form and 2) that He can put the training wheels in place for us to see His presence. Time and space are manmade constructs. Sometimes, you just need to accept things are the way they are and enjoy them.

4 Aforetime, as guidance for mankind; and He sent down the Criterion. Those who have rejected God’s signs will have a severe punishment. God is Mighty, Able to take revenge.

I’m happy for you, but personally I’m still content believing in the universe being eternal rather than a god. There is so much we still don’t understand about our universe that we can’t just claim that a god created everything when there could be a naturalistic explanation. The laws of thermodynamics only really apply after the “start” of the universe, and have no connection to how the the stuff in the universe was created.

Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9 and 13 and many others that address salvation in Christ. That’s why He gave His life on the cross. So that you and I and all people can be saved if we just accept His free gift.

God lives outside of time, otherwise he could not know how everyone and everything would be and how they would turn out, i.e. Jeremiah 1:5, Matthew 24:36-38, but that also bring in the concept of the Trinity and how one part of God, the Father, knows something another part of himself, Jesus, does not know, which will make your brain hurt even more. It is hard/nearly impossible for us as humans to fathom eternity and God's infinity existence due to the fact that we, physically, are time based creatures. We're born, grow-up, grow old, then die. We can not grasp a concept we have never experienced.

21 He said, “Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign for humanity, and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided.'“
22 So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place.
23 The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.”
24 Whereupon he called her from beneath her: “Do not worry; your Lord has placed a stream beneath you.
25 And shake the trunk of the palm-tree towards you, and it will drop ripe dates by you.”
26 “So eat, and drink, and be consoled. And if you see any human, say, ‘I have vowed a fast to the Most Gracious, so I will not speak to any human today.'“
27 Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have done something terrible.
28 O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore.”
29 So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to an infant in the crib?”
30 He said, “I am the servant of God. He has given me the Scripture, and made me a prophet.
31 And has made me blessed wherever I may be; and has enjoined on me prayer and charity, so long as I live.

36 “God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
37 But the various factions differed among themselves. So woe to those who disbelieve from the scene of a tremendous Day.
38 Listen to them and watch for them the Day they come to Us. But the wrongdoers today are completely lost.
39 And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded. Yet they are heedless, and they do not believe.
40 It is We who will inherit the earth and everyone on it, and to Us they will be returned.
41 And mention in the Scripture Abraham. He was a man of truth, a prophet.
42 He said to his father, “O my father, why do you worship what can neither hear, nor see, nor benefit you in any way?
43 O my father, there has come to me knowledge that never came to you. So follow me, and I will guide you along a straight way.
44 O my father, do not worship the devil. The devil is disobedient to the Most Gracious.
45 O my father, I fear that a punishment from the Most Gracious will afflict you, and you become an ally of the devil.”
46 He said, “Are you renouncing my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will stone you. So leave me alone for a while.”
47 He said, “Peace be upon you. I will ask my Lord to forgive you; He has been Kind to me.
48 And I will withdraw from you, and from what you pray to instead of God. And I will pray to my Lord, and I hope I will not be disappointed in my prayer to my Lord.”
49 When he withdrew from them, and from what they worship besides God, We granted him Isaac and Jacob. And each We made a prophet.
50 And We gave them freely of Our mercy, and gave them a noble reputation of truth.
56 As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment, in this world and the next, and they will have no helpers.
57 And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. God does not love the unjust.”
58 This is what We recite to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
59 The likeness of Jesus in God’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be,” and he was.
60 The truth is from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt.
61 And if anyone disputes with you about him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, “Come, let us call our children and your children, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and let us invoke God’s curse on the liars.”
62 This is the narrative of truth: there is no god but God. God is the Mighty, the Wise.

He is eternal, the big bang isn't eternal it had a starting point, just like you and me had a starting point, did you know there are colors that we can't see? Try and imagine that man, we simply can't because our brains cannot comprehend it so it's not far fetched that if God is out side of the laws we are bound by then it would be vain to apply faulty logic to him, we simply cannot comprehend.

Me Personally,I don’t believe in an end and an beginning or a start over
First:end and why do I not believe it
Because I believe that there wasn’t any god or anything and I don’t believe in time,I believe we are just a soul in the void of space waiting for something to happen+if there was a beginning or an end,what would happen at the beginning or the end? Space is technically already nothing basically,so I don’t believe in something like an end of a god
Second:Beginning and why I don’t believe in it
Because I do not believe there would be such something as a beginning,Proof:What happened at the beginning? Would space exist or not,because space is technically.. infinite and so I don’t believe in such like a beginning.
Third:Start Over and why I don’t believe in it
Because if we were to start over there would need an immense power that our telescopes and receptors would store and carry the information even it’s if the future or the past,and if we start over wouldn’t the so called “god” get bored? We would be failing and failing all over again,and so I don’t believe in a Start Over

The funny part is, I actually didn’t realize this before watching this video, one of my friends he was really trying to prove that God didn’t create the universe because the universe created itself, I said, “Well God made the universe that created itself,” and he just kept persisting and said well before that universe it created itself and before that universe it created itself and before that universe it created itself, and so on and so forth. I just looked at him like 🥴🫤 and walked away. (I was in elementary school)
