I wish we could use the special fate item drops for more stuff besides just the gimmicky costume outfits and a minion. Something like Aetheryte Tickets, something consumable at the very least which would future proof them. I also enjoyed those little Fate stories they put together. Fates that would spawn another Fate and begin to tell a story as you battle through them, like Vedrfolnir vs. Darkscale in the Churning Mists or the giant Matanga elephant boss from the Azim Steppes. Fates like those had their own unique rewards too like a barding and a housing decoration.
oooh aetheryte tickets is a great idea!! Even if they just put some of the rare dyes in there that could be good too (probably not jet black/pure white, but maybe some of what you get via fetes/IS. Or some of the pastel colors).
Agree all the way on this. I am also reminded how pre-ShB Fates gave lousy Exp and just as lousy amounts Grand Company Seals. The least they should do is finally buff those
Hard agree with just about everything. I will say that the goal of locking rewards behind savage content is to get players to try it out. I help people fill thier farm groups even though I have all the mounts and I often hear "I wonder what this is like synced".
They should give us old PVP Series rewards during Mogtomes, prove to us that the content is not FOMO like they said it wouldn't be. I also imagine that would be useful for even the oldest veteran players because not all of them may have ever bothered with PVP, or perhaps they started playing after a Series had already gone away. Also, bring back the missing PVP maps, because assuming Rival Wings gets added to the roulette, we would have *6* days of different maps to play across 2 modes instead of the current 1 mode with only 3 maps.
thats a fire idea with the old pvp rewards. they literally said they were gonna make it something we could get with currency and theyve never added it. False hope QQ
@@ArchieGamez I wouldn't mind if it was Trophy Crystals either, but they've been pretty adamant about not adding old Series rewards to that vendor (or much of anything to them really), and since rewards from PVE content gets put into Mogtomes, and they've even done the occasional PVP gear, might as well drop Series rewards there too. It would certainly be better then doing ARR/HW/SB Extreme mounts for the umpteenth time.
Specific to FATEs/bicolor gems, I would love if the Challenge log changed to reflect “Complete 10 FATEs in ARR” and “Complete 10 FATEs in HW” setup. Also, would love if the Challenge log gave bicolor gems as rewards for completing those challenges.
Bi-color gems for all FATEs. Amen. And I have another idea: introduce the same system to all areas, starting with ARR. Maybe even get rid of company seals alltogether in exchange for gems - or give players the option to trade seals for gems. The Grand Company system didnt get updated since HW, and though the seals still have use (I at least use them almost every day) we could combine it with the gem system. It would revive (hopefully) open zones in the old areas. Its a shame that gorgeous zones are rarely visited, like the Gyr Abania ones, because there just isnt anything to do. Moogle rewarts. How about old PvP rewards? It may be an unpopular suggestion but hoe about putting in the rewards from old PvP series? Minions, emotes, and yes, armor sets. I have often been asked about this or that PvP armor set and had to disappoint players that no matter what they do, these sets are no longer optainable. And its a shame really! This could be an option for people to really grind for some cool stuff.
Look at the GIANT pile of PVP exclusive gear , mounts, and minions that are completely unobtainable now. If anything they really need to rotate those back in somehow.
I definitely agree with your points on the overworld content and that's been a big gripe of mine for years. I played GW2 for a little while and the equivalent to FATEs in that game was very engaging. The EXP was nice, you received a decent amount of gold and crafting items, some of the fights were actually challenging depending on your level, and a lot of people actually did the content. It doesn't seem like people in FF14 grind FATEs because it's fun, they do it because they feel like they have to and that's obviously a big difference. I want to have fun while doing them, but I just detest grinding out Shared FATEs with new expansions now. I still haven't finished ShB lol.
I think a big part of that is the way level syncing functions in FFXIV. Nobody likes losing half or more of their tool kit in overworld content. Guild Wars 2 syncs you down, yes, but you retain all the abilities that make your build. And level syncing down requires to hit a button, which grinds my gears to constantly do, on top of having to reactivate my tank stance. Every. Single. Time. (Only relevant if there's multiple people doing FATEs and I don't want the monsters to get separated all over the place across many players.) The content is more boring than in GW2 as well, though. There's rarely any special mechanics, just tank and spank enemies (and sometimes bring items to an NPC). Guild Wars 2's system isn't very different in that aspect as far as I can recall, but it just FEELS better, with less downtime and more engaging combat (and more buttons to press rather than spam one or two AoE buttons). And don't get me started on how, a lot of the time in FFXIV, enemies spawn outside the FATE circle. Meaning you have to wait for them to get closer so you can use a ranged attack to aggro them one by one because if you step outside the boundaries of the FATE circle to try to aggro the new enemies that spawned, you're no longer synced for the FATE. SE got better at making new enemies spawn within the FATE circle over time, but it was a frequent issue in ARR and HW.
A lot of good ideas to incentivize people to do more content or alternate content. a few ideas I had were: More smaller events: this can be something to encourage more people to do fates in other areas to get their rank up and get tokens for the rewards (like mogtome but more overworld) the issue with this is... the mogstation exists... So many games keep giving you either content or story in some way and looking at warframe they bring back old event only items... but in 14 they go right to the mogstation, and we USE to have that. I remember one summer event running fates with people to get enough tokens for all the swimwear from past events... then they stopped... Rival wings tutorial: I am very sorry to say this... but i never stepped foot into rival wings, and I hope I'm not alone cause I worry about using one of the mechs poorly or the wrong way so I think a brief gameplay thing can help bring more people in as well as the idea of frontline you had.
For the Moogle Tomestone event, they should improve the rewards for the Triple Triad cards. There's an achievement mount that can be obtain if you obtain all cards from 1- 312. People would farm a dungeon hundred times to get card, but it would not show up at all. Prioritize more on cards that you can only get exclusively from raids and dungeon, and remove any card that you can get from NPC and housing items that you can get from the market board for a low price as rewards.
Agree Variant needs to be on roulette and add entry in WT or challenge log. Inside challenge log if you complete 10 runs you get extra items for turn-ins
The roulettes need an overhaul. Remove the Crystal Tower raids and put them in the MSQ roulette. It's mandatory for the story. Add Rival Wings to PvP cuz you do get mounts from Rival Wings, add pre order earrings without the exp benefits to Moogle along with old savage dyeable gear. You've made a lot of valid points
The upgrade material would be such a changer, I'd gladly do extra weekly roulettes for that. I actively play two roles but don't do savage so I can play all those jobs but I always have to make the choice which of these jobs gets the upgrade and by the time I'm finally done, the new gear already comes out ...
Agree on many points especially the mount drops and mog stone veteran rewards.. I actually keep thinking about something to maybe make tomestones more useful. What about using those to unlock dyeability on gear? So many things that can't be dyed. Go a step further and make it so we can use those to unlock gear of other jobs and classes. I think that would be a nice long time grinding.
special fates should drop weekly upgrade item for tome gear maybe 2 times in a week so people are always looking to do them. or maybe there is a way to reshuffle gear stats
cool ideas! PvP does give plenty of tomestones for gear just like PvE content does. As a high end raider who likes to unwind with PvP, spamming primarily Frontline really helped me stay on top of tome capping to the point where I never had to think about it.
content needs unique rewards worth farming. If you just slap tomestones onto things, people will just gravitate towards the content that gives the most tomestones/hour.
You're not completely wrong there! But there are some people (myself included) who do like to mix it up. It's pretty easy to get bored if youre doing the same exact thing every day, so multiple options would def liven things up.
They can and should do far, far more: - Remove the cap entirely for the heliometry stones. If they're serious about the phase being a "catch-up" phase, then get rid of the restriction. - The EX mount drop rates can be pretty abysmal. Lower the number of totems needed to buy them outright. Bring it down to 40 or something. Farming them sucks. - Give more ways to earn XP for alts. When there's no MSQ left and no lower-level quests, grinding FATEs, spamming dungeons as dps is horrible. Maybe give additional XP boosts the more jobs you've completed. I have 6-8 jobs remaining and I can't be bothered to level those up now. Levelling low level jobs SUCKS. XP gains for alts, especially in the pre-50 bracket sucks. Buff the hunt board XP gains, especially the ARR ones. Make them *worth* doing. - You should get XP for turning GC seals. Same with when your Squadron completes a mission. All of that should award player XP. - Doing Gold Saucer mini-games and puzzles should award XP.
I keep hoping they would evolve the way Fates work in FF14 considering where the idea came from which I believe was Guild Wars. In that you generally didn't have just one fate spawn, beat it, and then you're done. It was a series that kind of went along a track depending on whether you win or lose. You could end up having the ability to buy from certain vendors cut off if no one was doing the Fates in an area near a small village and such. I get that it could suck to not just have all resources available at all times but that kept me motivated to do them when I was playing GW2. ARR has a little of this with a few Fates not spawning unless you beat the one before it but that was quickly abandoned. I also agree that all the older areas should drop a small amount of Bi Color gems because why shouldn't they? Many times, if I'm going through Shadowbringers or new zones I will just do a Fate because it spawned right in my path and there are still a lot of DT rewards I haven't collected yet. I especially do this if I see someone else soloing it and time's almost up. Also, the mount vouchers from Bi Color gems should just drop off of the special boss Fates. Even if you are someone that has managed to farm the mounts it would be a way to earn a bit of Gil cause they're sellable on auction and would just make it a little bit faster for those trying to grind them out themselves. I'd been hoping for a while that they would start adding special Fates during the patch content, but I don't think they ever have. It's always just been the two at expansion launch. While the player base is large enough that those Fates still get completed, even the likes of Odin from ARR, it would be so much more thrilling if there were more of them. Could just add one in every couple of patches and hell, the devs are really good at adding little stories to everything, why not make a story out of Fates? Something that explains why more are suddenly showing up or just people confused by them or whatnot. It doesn't have to be deep, just something to make the open-world aspect of the game more enjoyable. Cause as much as I enjoy FF14 there's not very much to incentivize traversing it after MSQ is over. Yes, Fates and Hunts do that a little, but they feel like they could be more than what they currently are.
I would love some more open world style events period. Like... mass attacks on settlements that don't just come from one little pocket, but from various parts of the settlement, like they did in Guild Wars 2. The nighttime attacks on the jungle camps were a blast, and my friend and I would go back and play them just simply for the content itself.
Loved the video as always! I thought it was interesting that you started with Dates cause I think in SE's hive mind they see that as an example of Evergreen content. That said, I agree with your suggestions! I like your idea of the Tombstone events also. Especially them offering items that are a PITA to get these days. I also agree with your idea about alternate sources for gear. I've heard this idea being floated around for a bit now, and I like the idea. But ive seen a lot of gatekeepers be upset at the idea. I think that's part of the issue SE is facing. There's stuff they've considered doing but then they get pushback. They won't do extra work if it means having to deal with that. I still think it's a good idea to have alternate ways to gear characters. It doesn't even have to be the best gear; just something good enough even with a different design or something.
Most of the stuff I agree with, additionally I would say the reason I don't play Final Fantasy XIV except for when new story is out or to keep my house from demolishing is because of the lack of seasonal grindable content. They need a seasonal repeatable content like Mythic+ (from WoW) and Fractals (Guild Wars 2) with unique seasonal rewards (like a mount, or a skin set etc).
Good points, but I REALLY wonna talk on Crieiton because to me it's 14's biggest dissapointment and failure. Why? because if executed correctly and SQE let it give equipment say 5 ilvls below savage/augmented tomestone, they could tune the difficulty to essentially be 14's midcore content that asks less of your time then actual savage and requires less skill then actual savage...or, savage critieon can require the same amount of skill as normal savage but meant for a much smaller group. I know I'm talking in terms of gear rewards and letting something be an actual endgame activity, but I feel like normal variant dungeons need just...more rewards as well. Since they're coming back, sqe I have ONE WISH...make them VALID ENDGAME that is semi pug friendly
i think when you said normal variant you meant normal criterion. Cuz variant already has a boatload of rewards -- all the glam, hair, and such you get with potsherds, a mount for doing all paths. But yes I like your overall idea! I think it should be a completely alternate option to the 8 man savages. It does sound like some of the savage criterions are about as difficult as ultimates though, so I dont think we could ever classify that as midcore.
Here's a question, why do we get item level gear from Lebel 90 dungeons, but they're weaker than the Normal raid gear and tome gear? Make those specific to Criterion or something to give them a use other than glam or extreme casual.
its really not worth doing special fates , 100 gemstones is nothing, sometimes the boss fights can take half an hour if u dont have enough people. And u can get 100 stones with a few people in like 10 mins max
As a free trial player, I like when PvP gear is on offer from the Moogle tomestone events. It's the only way I can get it. You have no idea how sad I am that I can't get the Late Allagan sets.
Shaaloani? Nah, scree-haw land. Also, yeah, Variants I think can have new life breathed into it with blue mage [and potentially beastmaster] with the level 90 patch when they drop it in. A roulette would definitely help, but just giving the [VERY LIMITED] job[s] full access to the variant up to criterion savage access would be great.
As someone who does Frontlines roulette every day and sometimes does it as the only thing they log in for that day while I'm levelling alt jobs, please PLEASE do not add Rival Wings to that roulette. Give it it's own rewards and incentives. I don't wanna go there.
I dont think i have the appropriate skills, but maybe they could take me on as an advisor 😂Esp for anything glam related. All designs and dye channels must have Aitherea's approval before being put into the game D:
Man I'm with you on the mounts in the moogle events lol I'm so sick of it just being the birds and dogs each time. Put the gwibbers and cats in instead p l e a s e. also irrc the mats for the mounts from maps are just RNG from any floor. Agreed on PvP; Frontlines sucks, its just not fun anymore especially after they made everyone into damage sponges and made the jobs feel like utter butt in 7.1. Rival Wings is actually fun but they've been "working on" the other map for literal years and tbh I don't think they really care about it/forgot it exists. It sucks because aside from events Rival Wings queues just never pop. Criterion too is something that could be cool but it was dead on arrival since its not in any roulettes and not tied to any side content (huge missed opportunity not to have it tied to EW relics but those are another rant all together lol)
they started putting gwibbers but so far theyve only done the easy ones like Innocence and Twintania lol. Not that theyre hard to unsync anymore, but some of them have cut scenes so it takes longer than it should. Honestly, I alreasdy have all of those too so lowkey id love to see them just put in an EW one here and there.
@@Aitherea OH same lol I'm in the same boat, been playing for 4 years now and when they drop the list of stuff you can get I have pretty much everything on my main character
This is what happens when they get stuck on a "safe but stale" content design system. Once you do it you've almost no reason to do more of it. I've been occupying myself with occasional eureka, and then deep dungeon. No open world activities.
*Better Item Level Scaling:* Old dungeon bosses die too quickly and barely get to do their mechanics a lot of the time. Or players who don't know the mechanics will coast by without learning, and no consequences. This makes the dungeon roulette experience a joke, and makes it seem like the game has nothing going on. It's boring. It makes it seem like the game designers put nothing into the encounters. This also goes for all 8 and 24 player raids!!!! Especially Crystal Tower. Let's give that raid some teeth again, please! *FATEs and World Bosses:* I would like to see these structured more like the world bosses or "map meta" events in Guild Wars 2, where there is a known schedule to what time things are going to kick off, and everybody cooperates in different sections of the map to get events done, then converges for a big world boss fight. It shouldn't be an arcane mystery how to spawn rare FATE enemies, or require coordination with a dedicated hunt Discord group out of game. People should just be able to pop in and play together, and use map chat to communicate what needs to be done. *Randomized Dungeons:* I would like to see a new dungeon type, similar to Deep Dungeon with procedurally generated rooms, but made for Duty Finder and still requiring the standard role requirements of Tank, Healer, and two DPS. The bosses would be randomly selected from every boss in the game (that the players have completed at least once). Ideally, this would be programmed to dynamically scale itself to the current max level automatically, with maybe some manual tweaking to certain bosses if balance gets out of hand. I know this is a very dubious proposition and a pipe dream, but it would be nice to be able to run one of these once a day for a cool reward and some unpredictable encounters. *Commendation Coins:* I think commendations should be made into a currency that you can spend on exclusive items like glams, minions, titles, mounts, superior endgame food and potions, current high quality crafting materials, etc. Don't grandfather in all the previous commendations old-school players have accumulated, have it be a fresh start for everybody. I think the commendation system is genius, but for the critical flaw that it no longer matters once a player attains all the rewards for it and stops caring. Give people a reason to always strive to get comms. Even if they're being fake nice, that's still better than being real asses. *"Normal Mentor" Roulette:* I'm not in an FC. I play solo, except for Duty Finder content. But I do really love playing with other random folks in dungeons and raids. I just play Normal content, no Extreme or Savage. I basically know all the Normal content inside-out. I would gladly sign up for some kind of "Normal Mentor" roulette and help out newbies do their stuff. I don't need a special title or shitty Burger King crown. Just give me a little incentive like some extra tomes or gil and I'll be there. Isn't the whole goal to get players into content they need to do? Why leave it up to hardcore Mentors to make it happen? You're excluding a huge portion of the population for no good reason! *Bicolour Gemstones as PvP Rewards:* Give these things for playing PvP as well as FATEs. It's the currency for playing open-world massively online content, right? So why not give it to Frontlines and Rival Wings? I've actually never played Rival Wings -- I'd like to try it, but it seems complicated and every time I queue it seems like it will take forever to get in, so I don't bother. But they just added a ton of new Bicolour Gemstone portrait items that I want, so I would gladly so all the PvP stuff instead of grind boring FATEs all day! On that note, a Rival Wings roulette would absolutely do a world of good as well. That gameplay mode seems interesting, I just haven't gotten into it yet.
ohhh dont get me started on the maps feature. Yea, they are a good way to make money with the sellable items and ofc the mounts/end-floor rewards - but man, the RNG on even getting there is just insane. I've been doing maps with my FC for liek 3 weekends in a row now, and out of like 10 maps, we might get 2 portals.. then out of those 2 portals, we prolly get kicked out on floor 2 or even 1 sometimes! the rates are just too too bad right now.. i know they increase them in future patches..
I think we get decent enough rng with the portals, but for the new drops like the coffers? The rng is so bad xD Thats why the weapons are like 12m right now. Im glad that maps arent hard per se, but the amount of time you have to dump into it for just one weapon, when you may want multiple, is a bit frustrating. I sincerely hope they increase the drop rate of those in the future. I'm sure it's nice for the people who manage to get lucky enough to get one so they can make money, but esp since these are solely weapon glams and they were from contests... idk, but if i were a contest winner id want everyone who wants one to be able to get one. And right now that simply isnt the case because the rng to even get to the floor thatll drop the chest is tough, and then you have to beat however many other players with the roll? Last night we did maps for like 3 hours and didnt see a single coffer QQ
You are being very unlucky with maps. The portal chance is 50%. Anyone that run maps regularly can confirm every full party "bring 3 maps" usually gives 10 to 14 portals (from 24 maps). Make sure you are using the right type of map too. Using DT maps as an example, loboskin maps are meant for solo play, and never spawn a portal. Br'aaxskin maps are meant for a group, and can spawn portals. RNG inside the portals, I agree. It's frustrating getting kicked on the first door, but that's the nature of RNG.
Theyve already said they wont be updating it anymore. I think they sorta just deemed that content as a failure and are leaving it behind, and I understand why. It's entire structure was basically made completely AFK-able with barely any actual real playable content. If they wanted that content to be good theyd have to entirely rework it and at that point they might as well just make something completely new/different xD If anything, I wish they would turn it into instanced housing LOLOLOL.
@@Aitherea not failure but it same with eureka and bozja it expantion only content . island santuary was true casual content it was easy and relaxing grind not a midcore stuff like bozja and eureka.
@@ClairvoyantLastrus they finished it same as bozja and eureka sadly it expantion only content . but yes we need mroe real casual content like island not midcore content like bozja and eureka and then be told yo ucasual go do non casual content .
My issue is that the game goes from sleep inducing easy to banging your head on a wall difficult. it is simply not fun. EX keep getting harder each patch, criterion normal is way too hard, criterion savage should never have existed in the first place. It is simple, in EW or DT, if you were not a sweaty hard core raider you had NOTHING to do in the game.
IN EW OYU HAD TON OT DO IN DT YOU DONT EW WAS PERFECT FOR CASUALS YOU HAD ISLAND SANTUARY,VARIANT DUNG, RELICS AND EASY MSQ DUNG(REAL CASUAL CONTENT) IN DT YOU HAVE NOTHING OF THAT.EW SIMPEL LACKED MIDCORE CONTENT NOT CASUAL WHILE DT LACK MIDCORE AND CASUAL CONTENT (LONG TERM GRINDY CONTENT.
100% they just want people to have cyber relationships in the game. Ffxiv is built for you to play in short bursts if you actually want gameplay. The game isn’t meant to be played often anymore back in stormblood and maybe shadowbringers yes
I don't get much from the moogle stones, but putting 'rare' things in seems a shame. Use those rare things to drive people to do the older content... not just grind out some moogle stones.
I got a lot of thoughts on this but Ill try to be brief. Im moving the moogletomes to the bottom because I have a lot more to say. Fate- already evergreen. I wish they would add gemstones to preshb fates too but then they need to add a shop which complicates it. No shop means new players get them and realize they are worthless till 80. Fixes that they need right now though is allowing your character to stay synced when farming in a zone that requires it. Eureka needs this too but one of the worst things about farming fates and being maxed is constantly syncing down and losing all my gauges but no abilities reset. Its awful. Also tomes are meh, you cant add too many tomes though. Like 1 per fate because its spamable. I already think hunts have too many tomes but thats another topic. Special fates- 100% need more rewards. Personally if you wanna make it evergreen imo add a way to trade the items in for either more gemstones or straight gil like allagan sacks. They are *fine* as is but little reason to rush over to do them. Older special fates REALLY need this even more as they dont even get gemstones. Variant dungeons- issue with adding a roulette. How do the randomly assigned players decide a path? Would the game decide for them, would they decide and possibly fight over the path? I wish there was one too but variants are so wonky its not as simple as just add it. Criterion- NO I DONT WANT THE MOUNTS TO BE UNTRADEABLE. To me savages are some of the worst content in terms of its replayability. Aside doing them for blue mage synced players have zero reason ever to not unsync them and move on. While I wish criterion/crit savage were unsyncable at least with them having something to sell it makes it worth while for players to dive in multiple times past getting the mount. You strip that away and people will one and done it just like extremes and savages. Now adding something else thats untradeable AND desireable is good. PVP- its pretty darn evergreen. You also do in fact get tomes fyi so you can gear up with them. There is no reason to add gear not to mention that gear would have to constantly be updated so Im pretty hard against the idea. Fun fact spamming CC casual matches is the fastest way to get tomes in the game aside maybe bullet A rank hunt trains. Now one way to improve the content even more is if SE would allow us to farm old series rewards as I personally am still missing series 1 and Im sure a lot of people want them as well. Let players pick their series or add them to the shop at a high bar. Say like 10k crystal per unique reward to keep players going for example. **Small addendum I forgot to add. 1000% agree rival wings needs a roulette. No objections. I even prefer FL more often but RW is really fun every once in awhile. Moogletome event- This one I gotta say I pretty much dont agree with anything idea wise. Its not that I dont understand its more of I dont think any of its a good idea. Ill bullet point my thoughts. 1: Moogletomes event is literally a catch up event. Its not meant for people who 100% the game. Its still a way for people to earn gil as well. It flat out should not be something for veterans. 2: Adding anything that is special to the mogtome event like emotes, mounts, minions, ect is good idea at first. However you run into the same issue PVP series have. Will they come back? Probably not except on very rare cases. Even if they added it to another side shop how would it even work? I genuinely think its a bad idea and people who want this now would find it terrible later. 3: Emotes and such from other content is fine. Its not hard to get most of the things you listed off tbh. Btw if you want centurios seal or allied seals hop on a discord and have them ping you whenever S ranks pop. The discord Centurio hunts should be good but if you have a DC specific thatll be better. For extreme/savage mounts I would agree two expansions prior is the closest they should get. It should be the same expansion they are released on though. So if they are doing SHB extremes there should be SHB savages too. If they did EW extreme it should be EW savages too. 3.5: Small note on mounts and such. Free trial players actually benefit a lot from SHB+ content so anything from it helps them. Whether you are for that or not doesnt matter for me but adding that in. 4: Gemstones.... No. Don't devalue the one thing fates have. Hell no. People want to farm for these then either pucker the gil up or do fates. Now rewards aside the vouchers is fine I think. TT cards, minions, ect yeah no problem. But the vouchers is a HELL no imo. You make mogtomes which is temporary stronger while making something else less evergreen. 5: Map mats. Same as gemstone. Hell no. They already have plummeted some of the mats from these by putting them in the crappy boxes from bozja and island sanctuary. We dont need even more. People need to do maps, or pony the money up. This also makes content that is evergreen less evergreen again as mentioned above. We don't need to weaken other content. 6: Glams are okay. Non crafted glams specifically. Anything related to roulettes wont be affected by the event some Im okay with this. Crafter glams is the same as point 5. Personally I would like to see alliance gear added as I see people groan over the rng nature of that. Dungeon and savage gear though I dont mind either though. In general anything that messes heavily with the marketboard items or pieces of content thats pretty niche such as maps or fates Im pretty against. Game already struggles making gil worthwhile and the content that struggles to find players quickly doesnt need more reason for people to never touch it. The game SHOULD encourage people to play more of the game, not allow ways around it as often alongside getting people to run that content multiple times. Thats why a mix of tradeable and untradeable items worth something should be in all content and its rewards should rarely be made easy to get outside.
The least they should do is finally buff those
The rival Wings thing is so true it's actually crazy that they push frontline over rival wings
No, let us use trophy crystals from the BP to buy old rewards or hell reskin with different colour so i can use my trophy crystals for something 😅
Every. Single. Time. (Only relevant if there's multiple people doing FATEs and I don't want the monsters to get separated all over the place across many players.)
The content is more boring than in GW2 as well, though. SE got better at making new enemies spawn within the FATE circle over time, but it was a frequent issue in ARR and HW.
but that and mount are what make gw2 speical if everbody did that gw2 would be a shitty mmorpg
A lot of good ideas to incentivize people to do more content or alternate content.
a few ideas I had were:
More smaller events: this can be something to encourage more people to do fates in other areas to get their rank up and get tokens for the rewards (like mogtome but more overworld) the issue with this is... the mogstation exists... So many games keep giving you either content or story in some way and looking at warframe they bring back old event only items... but in 14 they go right to the mogstation, and we USE to have that. I remember one summer event running fates with people to get enough tokens for all the swimwear from past events... then they stopped...
Rival wings tutorial: I am very sorry to say this... but i never stepped foot into rival wings, and I hope I'm not alone cause I worry about using one of the mechs poorly or the wrong way so I think a brief gameplay thing can help bring more people in as well as the idea of frontline you had.
take a shot every time she says evergreen
Evergreen is an evergreen word
Not Wrong
It’s Friday night so im down
I'm in the hospital with liver failure now, thanks. 😩
NPC are the same, you can win 100x and not get a card.
Bicolor gemstones idea. I love it!
special fates should drop weekly upgrade item for tome gear maybe 2 times in a week so people are always looking to do them.
or maybe there is a way to reshuffle gear stats
cool ideas! PvP does give plenty of tomestones for gear just like PvE content does. As a high end raider who likes to unwind with PvP, spamming primarily Frontline really helped me stay on top of tome capping to the point where I never had to think about it.
you can tell i hate pvp because i didnt even notice its giving me tomestones when i begrudgingly join frontlines LOL
content needs unique rewards worth farming.
They can and should do far, far more:
- Remove the cap entirely for the heliometry stones.
@@Aitherea And that's kinda the problem is imo the difficulty of critieon is simply too high for it to realize it's true protentional
more FF content yay
That's a really good point! I forgot that free trial players cannot pvp :c
Shaaloani? Nah, scree-haw land. Also, yeah, Variants I think can have new life breathed into it with blue mage [and potentially beastmaster] with the level 90 patch when they drop it in. A roulette would definitely help, but just giving the [VERY LIMITED] job[s] full access to the variant up to criterion savage access would be great.
thats an awesome idea. also omg scree haw land xD i love it
What a load of Shaaloani!
As someone who does Frontlines roulette every day and sometimes does it as the only thing they log in for that day while I'm levelling alt jobs, please PLEASE do not add Rival Wings to that roulette. Give it it's own rewards and incentives. I don't wanna go there.
Are you applying to be a dev or...?
I dont think i have the appropriate skills, but maybe they could take me on as an advisor 😂Esp for anything glam related. All designs and dye channels must have Aitherea's approval before being put into the game D:
She shouldn't even need to apply at this point. They should be offering her the job
@@Aithereathat's how it always is at the beginning, but they'll eventually add the others except the hardest 2 probably
You get capped tomes from frontlines though
Not everyone wants to do pvp.
hunt are better
PVP rewards are so easy to get. Just enter Frontlines and go brain dead. PVP is so unbalanced that it's ez to just chill and reap the rewards.
Would be cool if they actually remembered island sanctuary existed, add more rewards etc
@Aitherea Oh lmao okay then, I didn't know all that. That's wild. So much glam is locked behind it though ;-;
I have way more fun in FL then RW
