Yeah, motor was not so great, but in the instructions it said that you had to do that. I still use it for my protein shakes though...

Mine is more powerful. Dont have to tilt it at all. it makes the most insane vortex ever. Even makes a spinning vortex when turned upside down if you fill it just over half with water. insane!
And it even crushes ice easily no problem.
