Great vid but I don't see this being legit. Especially with the roster, Marvel is real particular on what characters there pushing in the mcu currently. So unless these character are variants (Daredevil being elektra version from comics, or Wolverine being X-23 from comics), for better or worse depending on your view of modern day marvel, I don't see it happening

Decently good, but I preferred adding in whole newer characters to freshen things up like having those like Silver Surfer, the Spot, Punisher, & others on the Marvel side, whilst adding those like Rathalos, PTX-40A from Lost Planet, Axl from Mega Man X, and others on the Capcom side!!!

Yea something like mk trilogy give us tons of characters off the bat. Then give us maybe 6 characters per season like 2 teams per season. I'd be willing to pay for that.
That’d fit the “Infinite” title so much better than Infinite itself did, lol. Idk how practical it’d be, considering how large MVC2 was, and how difficult balancing all those characters plus the newbies would be, but it’d be interesting to see anyway.

Something tells me that we're probably gonna be getting a HUGE announcement at EVO 2023, specifically Marvel vs. Capcom 4. Because there's no way that Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 would just be at this year's lineup for no reason, especially since the last time Marvel Vs Capcom was even around in general, was back in 2016/2017. I can already tell they're planning something big with the MvC franchise very soon.

Not sure how to feel about this. I’m skeptical this is real, but at the same time I wouldn’t be too surprised if this was real, or at least fairly close. The roster seems both pretty good, but also not too good to be true, so that’s encouraging. Bringing ArcSys into this feels kinda hard to believe, imho, but who knows? Maybe Capcom was like “you guys kicked our ass at our own game back when FighterZ and Infinite both released” so I guess I could understand why they’d reach out to a competitor like that. Speaking of FighterZ though, if this is real, I hope Mr Fantastic works sorta like Ginyu (or Captain Commando, to keep things within MvC). It’d feel weird to have only one member of the Fantastic Four, but having the entire team in one character would be really cool, and Reed makes the most sense as the face of the team.

I feel like with all the new revival of old fighting game series(by continuation,remasters,collections,etc) It is more likely than ever before,especially since we are heavily implied to be getting a real CVS3,as well as capcom doing negotiations with disney behind the scenes
Capcom these last few years wants to regain the trust of its fans and be taken seriously again in fighting games, the last department that suffered internal changes within Capcom is the fighting department and as you can see, SF6 is doing excellent calling the attention of the public, SF5 ended up being a good game after the last seasons (with the new SF managers). Capcom has made good relations with SNK making them mention the possibility of making a CvS3 in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom is negotiating with Marvel for MvC4 and put all the meat on the table (plus Arcsys likes to help in the development of other fighting games).
@Zero Diversion I mean, as someone who doesn't play competitive, he's just too fun to not include. I mean, come on. Searching for evidence throughout the match? Mounting a defense? Building a case? Prosecuting the opponent? That's so wacky and translates the Ace Attorney series so well into a fighting game moveset that competitive viability just doesn't really matter. He's a genius character.
I hope they add Cammy and War Machine back in MVC4. We Haven't seen them since Marvel vs. Capcom 2 that disappointing that they not in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite
yeah and its odd because War Machine plays very similar to Iron Man so i really don't think that much development would have been needed for him same with Ken from street fighter. its really weird we haven't seen Kan make a return since 2 again he plays very similar to ryu so its not like he would have needed a whole lot of developing

If the game becomes true, I wouldn't worry about the two seasons, if they do it right the game will sell like hotcakes, enough to maintain and pay for the licenses (the community is hungry for a MvC4). Recall that around 2019-2020 filipino champ and all his drama, he angry made a twitch stream and he showed an early/test version of MvCI, which showed the amount of character slots and scenarios. I don't remember the amount of characters or scenarios, but it was a lot (I think it was close to the size of MvC2 roster? But I don't remember). Capcom basically wanted to expand the roster and maintenance of MvCI with DLCs, but we all know the story, due to the rejection of the community with the game and other things made that the DLCs were cancelled and we only got a few. Also Filipino champ got a lot of things right about SF6 in that stream. He mentioned that SF5 was going to extend a final season by a year or year and a half, because Capcom was having problems with SF6 (other leakers later confirmed development problems with SF6). Filipino if I'm not mistaken also mentioned that if there was a MvC4 it would be after the release of SF6. Also we have to talk about dasvergeben, he described the new Street fighter 6 characters and he got everything right (you can see his post on reddit) that leak was way before the roster image we all know, so I can bet he has Capcom contacts. What I'm getting at is that dasvergeben mentioned a few times ago the existence of MvC4 and until now he hasn't said anything about any cancellation (so maybe all these years MvC4 was in development). Now I wonder how many DLC characters they had made or advanced in MvCI, maybe they have a greater amount of characters in base roster or have advanced several DLC characters.
Good point, what if some of those additional characters just transition into a potential MVC 4? Capcom side of the roster should be the sickest because of how much control they have over their IP but I dunno why they won't go all out.
Capcom should have had arc sys do their entire fighting game library since they went 3D. In a perfect perfect world, arc sys would give the game the full DBZ treatment and reference all the original MvC2 sprites. Imagine Psylocke looking like a Guilty Gear Strive character

If true I hope they bring the cartoon style back. MVC3 looks decent but it’s the cartoon style and bright colors that makes the series eye candy and especially for fighting game
i also hope they make the backgrounds more simple as well. my biggest problem with the design of 3 was the backgrounds were just way to busy. the game is already high speed action with 6 characters jumping in and out of frame punching and shooting lasers and stuff putting a a million things in the background is sensory overload
If a new Marvel VS Capcom game it's happening then Wolverine, Storm, Magneto, Cyclops, Rogue n Deadpool must be in the game, the lack of mutants in Infinite was disappointing to say the least.

If these rumors are true. Don't love that Doctor Strange and Dormmommu are not in the game. Especially since M.O.M came out a few years back. It just makes too much sense to keep them. I'm also a massive Doctor Strange fanatic, so this hurts me a lot 😢

It's funny because in the past Arc system works announced a collaboration with Capcom back in the early 2000's before their collaboration was basically scrapped after Arc system works buy out with Sammy Fall apart.
Should there be a MVC4 and if Arc System Works is going to lend a hand, I hope they make visuals resemble the Spiderverse animation. Before Into the Spider verse revolutionized the animation industry GG Xrd and DBFZ visual were the first to mixed 2D & 3D animation successfully. Arc System goal should attenpt to make MVC4 to compliment Spiderverse's comic book animation style.
If Capcom was putting Red Skull in a fighting game, I’ve got to imagine he’s got the Cosmic Cube with him. The the Tales of Suspense comics where Red Skull first has the Cosmic Cube, he creates a man out of the ground and fights Captain America with it. So it is possible they could give him attacks like a Stand user from their JoJo game. He does some other stuff too in that little arc. He’s got a device that in a fighting game could be a counter attack. He creates a wall of fire. He floats a giant bolder into the air with the power of the Cube. If they do something with him I can buy Capcom is making a Marvel vs Capcom 4. There’s been enough stuff floating around it doesn’t sound unlikely, and there were two games in the Capcom leak list that didn’t have actual names; they where just listed as “New C” and “New B.” But, that roster that came with the leak...like, I don’t know about that. There’s characters missing on the Marvel side that I’d think would be on the Marvel side. There’s one less Resident Evil character than MvC3 despite having a larger roster, and there’s zero Resident Evil characters from Village and 7. Asura over Gene feels kind of weird. You’d think maybe they’d put in Ryunosuke Naruhodo over Phoenix Wright since that’s their newer thing now and he’s got a sword. I’d almost expect Oichi given she’s been a character in that Teppen game for a couple years and she’s make for a really cool fighting game character. The rosters on both sides almost make no sense to me given recent and upcoming project we know about on both sides. I’m pretty sure the guy (Shigenori Kiwata/Kiki/Kittickit) that did all the art for those Street Fighter 5 Shadaloo profiles is a Marvel fan. I think he did the card art for Heroes and Heralds in UMvC3. He post art in different places, and he does just Marvel characters just on his own; could see him being involved and helping pick Marvel characters...although he seems to like Psylocke and that leak as no Psylocke.
If there ever is an mvc4 I hope they stick to the comic roots. The mcu designs just don’t mix with the capcom characters as nicely as the vibrant comic book designs.
Believe it or not; if the leak is real, this won't be his first appearance in the series. Grandmaster Meio was a Heroes and Heralds card in 'Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom', and he had a minor role in the story of 'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite'; where he joined Ultron-Sigma to assist on their plan to eradicate all biological life, and reprogramed Zero. Although Strider Hiryu and Gamora destroyed his physical form, his last words make it clear that this won't be their final encounter.

If they do make Marvel vs. Capcom 4, I hope they put a better even roster of new and old Marvel and Capcom characters like the return of the X-Men including DLC, better stages including DLC, better graphics just like UMVC3, a better fighting system, special endings for the characters after completing the arcade mode, and a new better story mode with new bosses and stuff.
Loved the gameplay in Mvci, but everything else was really bad (roster,aesthetics etc). Would like to see that gameplay come back even if it’s not in mvc4
Crazy thing is I tweeted and tagged arcsystem to help out a new MVC months ago. That would be amazing. And I love MVC 2 but that jazz sound track was always ass to me. I like the personal theme music like how marvel superheroes vs street fighter did. I believe that music was damn near perfect. and do y'all remember in X-Men vs street fighter on certain stages, the ground would break and you would end up in the sewer fighting. Little things like I hope are added back if this rumor is even true.
I like the idea of a modern and Street vibe. I think modern is for marvel and Street for Capcom. I could also see stage transitions from a subway station with the vulture in the background to Central Park. And see the danger room transitioned to the x-mansion to the outside of the mansion like the basketball court and swimming pool similar to X-Men: Next Dimension and Mutant Academy 2. And you can see the students cheering at the background. And I like the leaked roster. I hope Ken is included because I liked using Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li in a team. Carnage, Chameleon, Jubilee, Thing, Blade, Punisher and Apocalypse should be in it. And Leon, Claire, Chuck Greene, Vanessa Snyder, the smiths from Killer 7 should appear.
Red Skull? Now I know this is fake. The Red Skull does not work as an MvC character unless you do what say Contest of Champions did and give him the Cosmic Cube. As himself, it's mostly just guns, guns and more guns. Also, what MvC roster doesn't have Ms. Marvel in this day and age?
Who knows want engine they would use and what they would do for the models. Either they would import the models and movesets from previous games or make entire new ones. If the rumor of ArcSys developing the game is true (take it with a grain of salt), then it would be interesting to see the 2D anime-styled 2.5D angle of the series like with Dragonball Fighterz

for the Capcom side, I think we'd see Nero before V or at least both of them. I don't think V was a super popular character, but he would fill that Blackheart void with all tbe minions. I'd love to see a Clover Studio rep (especialy Gene from GodHand) and a Breath of Fire rep (Ryu would be sick, but might be redundant naming because of SF's Ryu. So BoF IV Lu Fu would be amazing) If Arc Sys really are developping, I wish they could drop in one of their characters in there. Sol or Ragna would be sick!
Nice I just made a comment concerning BoF as well. If they don't want Ryu because it'll 'confuse' people (I don't know why they couldn't just have his name as Ryu (BoF) or some shit) I'd hope Nina would be the rep. It would give the Capcom side another character with flight as well.

Juri, Asura, and Mr. Fantastic are dream picks of mine OMFG It would’ve been awesome to see them try and incorporate Thing, Human Torch, or Invisible Woman as characters as well, but I have a feeling that they’re going to do a whole “Mr. Fantastic summons them for Specials/Supers” type of thing…granted if this ends up being true. Sagat is another character that needs to be in MVC imo since he’d be wildin’ out with his move set being significantly tweaked to make it more…team-friendly. Like making Tiger Knees/Uppercuts able to juggle, faster Tiger Shots, Tiger Genoc*de being a Level 3 Super with some nice effects and added hits, etc. Now THAT would be incredible
@@moguera1272 yeah, that’s who I thought about when thinking Mr. Fantastic (& the F4 as a team) and how he’d be as a playable character. Super Skrull was a pretty deep cut and a Hail Mary from the Devs (Dimps, iirc) since Marvel most likely wouldn’t let them use anyone but Doctor Doom for F4 Representation, which was a brilliant idea. However, after seeing the way Injustice 2 did the TMNT, I feel like using the F4 like that w/ Mr. Fantastic being the main character slot and using Cheat Codes to swap for Thing, Invisible Woman, Human Torch…and/or even She-Hulk (since that would be comic accurate AND a returning character) like how you could get Cyber Akuma in XMvSF or the secret characters in MvC1 Even just vanilla, using Mr. Fantastic would be like Super Skrull but with more animations for the F4…and that’s something I’m down for 💯

i think they will definitely have say in the roster but unlike last time that silly Fox feud is no longer happening they may be more lenient on who they allow. if this roaster is true its nice to see X-Men and F4 characters already back on the roster. it already looks 10 times better than the roster last time Daredevil Loki and Red Skull all seem like they could be awesome additions and I'm glad they chose StarLord as the Guardians rep instead of Rocket again
I'm going to need to start a petition to allow capcom to develop the fighting games for marvel so is to give the fans control over the Marvel Vs Capcom series to make the series as great, and greater then it's hype.
na..if they know what's best they better try and out do mvc2. So that means they need psylocke, ironman, sentinel, tron bonne, cable OR bishop to come fresh. Throw in captain commando, we need the cheese assist. Can't beat it? Then learn how to as many mvc2 players have done. Yeah, go ahead blackheart in there as well, lets not play with it. You want all the newest characters from CAPCOM, you can throw them in there as well. The idea is to get the hype train back on the market as mvc2 did. You deviate from that model, then you will fail.
Also: let's remember that Marvel has the continuation of the OG X-Men cartoons in the plans. There might be a collaboration with CAPCOM in the plans to promote X-Men 89, in the same way they tried to do with MCU in MvCI.

They have a real problem with the resident evil characters, At this point their favorite is Nemesis, but Chris has gotten stale, they should replace him with their Leon, Ada or Krauser
I think they omit certain characters because they lose their relevance. I would've liked to see Jin Saotome. All the other characters would be nice but Jin Saotome is the one I liked the most out of MvC 1&2. The others are great too but they're just the frosting on the cake
I would love for this to be true. MvC 2 is my most favorite fighting game of all time! BUT this will ever happen. MvC: Infinite killed any chance of us getting another MvC ever again. Would be nice, tho. And I love the idea of having a Power Stone character in the game, so maybe Power Stone can come back from the dead. But again, this will never happen.
Well if Capcom does come out with a MvsC 4. I really do hope they go back to the anime cartoon style they started with up until MvsC 2. It looked and felt epic. When 3 came out with its 3d style I was completely turned off and just stopped playing the games all together after 3. It just didn't look or felt right, especially when they took away the 6 kick and punch buttons just to give noobs a leg up to play the game.
Glad to hear I am not the only one who wants Psylocke back. Best character I ever played all the way back to Children of the Atom. Also glad to see Darkstalkers characters back since we are not likely to ever see them again. :(
I'm just glad ArcSys is “assisting” and not primarily developing this game. I feel like a lot of there games are too similar and they sometimes lack depth...probably because they want their games as balanced as possible.
The last guilty gear is not fun they took out the destroyed moves music trash the whole vocal over powered the instruments, I been playing guilty gear since PS1 days just was not feeling this one

If this ever existed, I’d say it wouldn’t be JUST Marvel Vs. Capcom. If it’s developed by Arc System Works, I’m thinking it should be an All-Out crossover like Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, where Capcom crosses over with not only Marvel, but also other franchises they crossed over with being SNK, Tatsunoko, Tekken, SEGA, Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers. I could see maybe Family Guy or something as this game’s RWBY. I’d love a 3 fighter combo of Deadpool, Speedy Cerviche and Peter Griffin!

I'd be happy to see the return of the X-Men characters. Wish they would have added a few more X-Men tho, given that Infinite completely shafted them. It's still way too MCU heavy unfortunately. I'd prefer adding Rogue, Psylocke, Gambit back. I'm interested to see how Loki and Mr. Fantastic would play. But why would anyone want the Red Skull in the game?!
Nemesis is one of the most popular villains in gaming, Arthur i know it's strange but resurrection it's relatively recent. Captain commando and Jin...listen I love them as characters but both of them come from just one single game of the 90s, and they weren't even in MVC3 or infinite (unlike strider who was saved thanks to the 2014 game). Haggar it's strange because now final fight it's basically street fighter and SF6 is pretty focused on the final fight-side of the franchise so having him isn't so strange.

Great vid but I don't see this being legit. Especially with the roster, Marvel is real particular on what characters there pushing in the mcu currently. So unless these character are variants (Daredevil being elektra version from comics, or Wolverine being X-23 from comics), for better or worse depending on your view of modern day marvel, I don't see it happening

Decently good, but I preferred adding in whole newer characters to freshen things up like having those like Silver Surfer, the Spot, Punisher, & others on the Marvel side, whilst adding those like Rathalos, PTX-40A from Lost Planet, Axl from Mega Man X, and others on the Capcom side!!!

Something tells me that we're probably gonna be getting a HUGE announcement at EVO 2023, specifically Marvel vs. Capcom 4. Because there's no way that Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 would just be at this year's lineup for no reason, especially since the last time Marvel Vs Capcom was even around in general, was back in 2016/2017. I can already tell they're planning something big with the MvC franchise very soon.

Not sure how to feel about this. I’m skeptical this is real, but at the same time I wouldn’t be too surprised if this was real, or at least fairly close. The roster seems both pretty good, but also not too good to be true, so that’s encouraging. Bringing ArcSys into this feels kinda hard to believe, imho, but who knows? Maybe Capcom was like “you guys kicked our ass at our own game back when FighterZ and Infinite both released” so I guess I could understand why they’d reach out to a competitor like that.
Speaking of FighterZ though, if this is real, I hope Mr Fantastic works sorta like Ginyu (or Captain Commando, to keep things within MvC). It’d feel weird to have only one member of the Fantastic Four, but having the entire team in one character would be really cool, and Reed makes the most sense as the face of the team.

I feel like with all the new revival of old fighting game series(by continuation,remasters,collections,etc) It is more likely than ever before,especially since we are heavily implied to be getting a real CVS3,as well as capcom doing negotiations with disney behind the scenes
Capcom these last few years wants to regain the trust of its fans and be taken seriously again in fighting games, the last department that suffered internal changes within Capcom is the fighting department and as you can see, SF6 is doing excellent calling the attention of the public, SF5 ended up being a good game after the last seasons (with the new SF managers).
Capcom has made good relations with SNK making them mention the possibility of making a CvS3 in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom is negotiating with Marvel for MvC4 and put all the meat on the table (plus Arcsys likes to help in the development of other fighting games).
I think Aonien and Lythero would also be on that list of few people who actually used Phoenix Wright... But yeah, it's not a lot of people.
@Zero Diversion I mean, as someone who doesn't play competitive, he's just too fun to not include. I mean, come on. Searching for evidence throughout the match? Mounting a defense? Building a case? Prosecuting the opponent? That's so wacky and translates the Ace Attorney series so well into a fighting game moveset that competitive viability just doesn't really matter. He's a genius character.

If the game becomes true, I wouldn't worry about the two seasons, if they do it right the game will sell like hotcakes, enough to maintain and pay for the licenses (the community is hungry for a MvC4).
Recall that around 2019-2020 filipino champ and all his drama, he angry made a twitch stream and he showed an early/test version of MvCI, which showed the amount of character slots and scenarios.
I don't remember the amount of characters or scenarios, but it was a lot (I think it was close to the size of MvC2 roster? But I don't remember).
Capcom basically wanted to expand the roster and maintenance of MvCI with DLCs, but we all know the story, due to the rejection of the community with the game and other things made that the DLCs were cancelled and we only got a few.
Also Filipino champ got a lot of things right about SF6 in that stream.
He mentioned that SF5 was going to extend a final season by a year or year and a half, because Capcom was having problems with SF6 (other leakers later confirmed development problems with SF6).
Filipino if I'm not mistaken also mentioned that if there was a MvC4 it would be after the release of SF6.
Also we have to talk about dasvergeben, he described the new Street fighter 6 characters and he got everything right (you can see his post on reddit) that leak was way before the roster image we all know, so I can bet he has Capcom contacts.
What I'm getting at is that dasvergeben mentioned a few times ago the existence of MvC4 and until now he hasn't said anything about any cancellation (so maybe all these years MvC4 was in development).
Now I wonder how many DLC characters they had made or advanced in MvCI, maybe they have a greater amount of characters in base roster or have advanced several DLC characters.
Good point, what if some of those additional characters just transition into a potential MVC 4? Capcom side of the roster should be the sickest because of how much control they have over their IP but I dunno why they won't go all out.
Capcom should have had arc sys do their entire fighting game library since they went 3D. In a perfect perfect world, arc sys would give the game the full DBZ treatment and reference all the original MvC2 sprites. Imagine Psylocke looking like a Guilty Gear Strive character

If true I hope they bring the cartoon style back. MVC3 looks decent but it’s the cartoon style and bright colors that makes the series eye candy and especially for fighting game
i also hope they make the backgrounds more simple as well. my biggest problem with the design of 3 was the backgrounds were just way to busy. the game is already high speed action with 6 characters jumping in and out of frame punching and shooting lasers and stuff putting a a million things in the background is sensory overload

Yeah! Even after its announcement, Capcom reserving their hardwork and time for Street Fighter 6 first. That way, they'll finish it with full release (unlike what happened to original SF5 in favor of poorly received MvC Infinite before) and went straight into new MvC game afterwards.

It's funny because in the past Arc system works announced a collaboration with Capcom back in the early 2000's before their collaboration was basically scrapped after Arc system works buy out with Sammy Fall apart.
Should there be a MVC4 and if Arc System Works is going to lend a hand, I hope they make visuals resemble the Spiderverse animation. Before Into the Spider verse revolutionized the animation industry GG Xrd and DBFZ visual were the first to mixed 2D & 3D animation successfully. Arc System goal should attenpt to make MVC4 to compliment Spiderverse's comic book animation style.

If Capcom was putting Red Skull in a fighting game, I’ve got to imagine he’s got the Cosmic Cube with him. The the Tales of Suspense comics where Red Skull first has the Cosmic Cube, he creates a man out of the ground and fights Captain America with it. So it is possible they could give him attacks like a Stand user from their JoJo game. He does some other stuff too in that little arc. He’s got a device that in a fighting game could be a counter attack. He creates a wall of fire. He floats a giant bolder into the air with the power of the Cube. If they do something with him
I can buy Capcom is making a Marvel vs Capcom 4. There’s been enough stuff floating around it doesn’t sound unlikely, and there were two games in the Capcom leak list that didn’t have actual names; they where just listed as “New C” and “New B.” But, that roster that came with the leak...like, I don’t know about that. There’s characters missing on the Marvel side that I’d think would be on the Marvel side. There’s one less Resident Evil character than MvC3 despite having a larger roster, and there’s zero Resident Evil characters from Village and 7. Asura over Gene feels kind of weird. You’d think maybe they’d put in Ryunosuke Naruhodo over Phoenix Wright since that’s their newer thing now and he’s got a sword. I’d almost expect Oichi given she’s been a character in that Teppen game for a couple years and she’s make for a really cool fighting game character. The rosters on both sides almost make no sense to me given recent and upcoming project we know about on both sides.
I’m pretty sure the guy (Shigenori Kiwata/Kiki/Kittickit) that did all the art for those Street Fighter 5 Shadaloo profiles is a Marvel fan. I think he did the card art for Heroes and Heralds in UMvC3. He post art in different places, and he does just Marvel characters just on his own; could see him being involved and helping pick Marvel characters...although he seems to like Psylocke and that leak as no Psylocke.
If there ever is an mvc4 I hope they stick to the comic roots. The mcu designs just don’t mix with the capcom characters as nicely as the vibrant comic book designs.
I just hope they include Jon Talbain into the roster. He’s one of most underrated Capcom characters and would fit right in with MVC.

Grandmaster Meio is the main villain in the Strider series, so that's pretty cool if this is real since Strider is an extremely underrated series
Believe it or not; if the leak is real, this won't be his first appearance in the series. Grandmaster Meio was a Heroes and Heralds card in 'Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom', and he had a minor role in the story of 'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite'; where he joined Ultron-Sigma to assist on their plan to eradicate all biological life, and reprogramed Zero. Although Strider Hiryu and Gamora destroyed his physical form, his last words make it clear that this won't be their final encounter.

If they do make Marvel vs. Capcom 4, I hope they put a better even roster of new and old Marvel and Capcom characters like the return of the X-Men including DLC, better stages including DLC, better graphics just like UMVC3, a better fighting system, special endings for the characters after completing the arcade mode, and a new better story mode with new bosses and stuff.

Crazy thing is I tweeted and tagged arcsystem to help out a new MVC months ago. That would be amazing. And I love MVC 2 but that jazz sound track was always ass to me. I like the personal theme music like how marvel superheroes vs street fighter did. I believe that music was damn near perfect. and do y'all remember in X-Men vs street fighter on certain stages, the ground would break and you would end up in the sewer fighting. Little things like I hope are added back if this rumor is even true.

I like the idea of a modern and Street vibe. I think modern is for marvel and Street for Capcom. I could also see stage transitions from a subway station with the vulture in the background to Central Park. And see the danger room transitioned to the x-mansion to the outside of the mansion like the basketball court and swimming pool similar to X-Men: Next Dimension and Mutant Academy 2. And you can see the students cheering at the background. And I like the leaked roster. I hope Ken is included because I liked using Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li in a team. Red Skull? Now I know this is fake. The Red Skull does not work as an MvC character unless you do what say Contest of Champions did and give him the Cosmic Cube. As himself, it's mostly just guns, guns and more guns.

Who knows want engine they would use and what they would do for the models. Either they would import the models and movesets from previous games or make entire new ones.
If the rumor of ArcSys developing the game is true (take it with a grain of salt), then it would be interesting to see the 2D anime-styled 2.5D angle of the series like with Dragonball Fighterz
If true the Arc System as developers just sounds OP and would be awesome. In my opinion they should just do "Everyone is Here" kind of approach when it comes to its roster.
I hope arc isnt. Capcom does much better animation and moves.

for the Capcom side, I think we'd see Nero before V or at least both of them. I don't think V was a super popular character, but he would fill that Blackheart void with all tbe minions. I'd love to see a Clover Studio rep (especialy Gene from GodHand) and a Breath of Fire rep (Ryu would be sick, but might be redundant naming because of SF's Ryu. So BoF IV Lu Fu would be amazing)
If Arc Sys really are developping, I wish they could drop in one of their characters in there. Sol or Ragna would be sick!
Fou Lou from BoF was suppose to be in MVC3 but was cut so that would be awesome if he makes it in a potential MVC4.

Nice I just made a comment concerning BoF as well. If they don't want Ryu because it'll 'confuse' people (I don't know why they couldn't just have his name as Ryu (BoF) or some shit) I'd hope Nina would be the rep. It would give the Capcom side another character with flight as well.

It would’ve been awesome to see them try and incorporate Thing, Human Torch, or Invisible Woman as characters as well, but I have a feeling that they’re going to do a whole “Mr. Fantastic summons them for Specials/Supers” type of thing…granted if this ends up being true.
Sagat is another character that needs to be in MVC imo since he’d be wildin’ out with his move set being significantly tweaked to make it more…team-friendly. Like making Tiger Knees/Uppercuts able to juggle, faster Tiger Shots, Tiger Genoc*de being a Level 3 Super with some nice effects and added hits, etc.

@@moguera1272 yeah, that’s who I thought about when thinking Mr. Fantastic (& the F4 as a team) and how he’d be as a playable character. Super Skrull was a pretty deep cut and a Hail Mary from the Devs (Dimps, iirc) since Marvel most likely wouldn’t let them use anyone but Doctor Doom for F4 Representation, which was a brilliant idea.
However, after seeing the way Injustice 2 did the TMNT, I feel like using the F4 like that w/ Mr. Fantastic being the main character slot and using Cheat Codes to swap for Thing, Invisible Woman, Human Torch…and/or even She-Hulk (since that would be comic accurate AND a returning character) like how you could get Cyber Akuma in XMvSF or the secret characters in MvC1
Even just vanilla, using Mr. Fantastic would be like Super Skrull but with more animations for the F4…and that’s something I’m down for 💯

i think they will definitely have say in the roster but unlike last time that silly Fox feud is no longer happening they may be more lenient on who they allow. if this roaster is true its nice to see X-Men and F4 characters already back on the roster. it already looks 10 times better than the roster last time Daredevil Loki and Red Skull all seem like they could be awesome additions and I'm glad they chose StarLord as the Guardians rep instead of Rocket again
I'm going to need to start a petition to allow capcom to develop the fighting games for marvel so is to give the fans control over the Marvel Vs Capcom series to make the series as great, and greater then it's hype.
na..if they know what's best they better try and out do mvc2. So that means they need psylocke, ironman, sentinel, tron bonne, cable OR bishop to come fresh. Throw in captain commando, we need the cheese assist. Can't beat it? Then learn how to as many mvc2 players have done. Yeah, go ahead blackheart in there as well, lets not play with it. You want all the newest characters from CAPCOM, you can throw them in there as well. The idea is to get the hype train back on the market as mvc2 did. You deviate from that model, then you will fail.
Also: let's remember that Marvel has the continuation of the OG X-Men cartoons in the plans. There might be a collaboration with CAPCOM in the plans to promote X-Men 89, in the same way they tried to do with MCU in MvCI.
As long as the X-Men are back in the first place, I'm fine with that.
If true, very glad Leon would finally be joining the roster. My dream was always to have Nightcrawler join. If not MVC4, maybe in Netherrealm's marvel fighting game in the future.
They have a real problem with the resident evil characters, At this point their favorite is Nemesis, but Chris has gotten stale, they should replace him with their Leon, Ada or Krauser

I think they omit certain characters because they lose their relevance. I would've liked to see Jin Saotome. All the other characters would be nice but Jin Saotome is the one I liked the most out of MvC 1&2. The others are great too but they're just the frosting on the cake
I would love for this to be true. MvC 2 is my most favorite fighting game of all time! BUT this will ever happen. MvC: Infinite killed any chance of us getting another MvC ever again. Would be nice, tho. And I love the idea of having a Power Stone character in the game, so maybe Power Stone can come back from the dead. But again, this will never happen.

Well if Capcom does come out with a MvsC 4. I really do hope they go back to the anime cartoon style they started with up until MvsC 2. It looked and felt epic. When 3 came out with its 3d style I was completely turned off and just stopped playing the games all together after 3. It just didn't look or felt right, especially when they took away the 6 kick and punch buttons just to give noobs a leg up to play the game.
Would love a captain commando return. Hopefully with the same voice actor. CAPTAIN KIIIIICK

I'm just glad ArcSys is “assisting” and not primarily developing this game. I feel like a lot of there games are too similar and they sometimes lack depth...probably because they want their games as balanced as possible.
The last guilty gear is not fun they took out the destroyed moves music trash the whole vocal over powered the instruments, I been playing guilty gear since PS1 days just was not feeling this one

If this ever existed, I’d say it wouldn’t be JUST Marvel Vs. Capcom. If it’s developed by Arc System Works, I’m thinking it should be an All-Out crossover like Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, where Capcom crosses over with not only Marvel, but also other franchises they crossed over with being SNK, Tatsunoko, Tekken, SEGA, Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers. I could see maybe Family Guy or something as this game’s RWBY. I’d love a 3 fighter combo of Deadpool, Speedy Cerviche and Peter Griffin!

I'd be happy to see the return of the X-Men characters. Wish they would have added a few more X-Men tho, given that Infinite completely shafted them. It's still way too MCU heavy unfortunately. I'd prefer adding Rogue, Psylocke, Gambit back.

Nemesis is one of the most popular villains in gaming, Arthur i know it's strange but resurrection it's relatively recent. Captain commando and Jin...listen I love them as characters but both of them come from just one single game of the 90s, and they weren't even in MVC3 or infinite (unlike strider who was saved thanks to the 2014 game). Haggar it's strange because now final fight it's basically street fighter and SF6 is pretty focused on the final fight-side of the franchise so having him isn't so strange.
