He was hindu. not a Sikh.
    his teachers were also hindu.
The sikhs fought in the 1920s to rid gurudwaras of Hindu priests like him who wore sikh clothing

Hi my friend - I have benefited from these various methods - they have really helped me. I know little of Yogi Bhajan or the problems that Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims have with each other. I have done some study on Hindu religions such as Saivism and have studied the Yoga Sutras and am familiar with some the old long Sanskrit text chants. Regarding the Sikhs since I have involved myself in using some of the mantras and songs which are Sikh in origin I have been listening in on what looks like purely Sikh stuff such as the Kirtan Sohila - the English translation is very devotional (th-cam.com/video/IQkag1vkfAU/w-d-xo.html). I try my best to follow the Spirit of God who is both Father and Mother to all human beings.

      Sikhs are Hindus
There are so many branches all are hindus
      Brahman, Jain, Buddhist, Sikhs etc.

@@skywalker5175 u forgot to mention a branch. christianity.
by your logic all philosophies are branches of hinduism.even when they are conflicting. you have made this assertion because you are not familiar with the sikh central dogma.
