I voted Labour and I do think Corbyn is the best leader that Labour have had in a long time, but there's something really strange about people who worship politicians like some people in this video do. Whether it's Trump or Corbyn or anyone, it's just strange. Authority should never have your fullest blind allegiance.
he's got the 'grandpa' factor. all the young ones will vote for him in their innocence, because they trust him like they trust their 'grandpa', and 'grandpa' never lies and always keeps his promises. its almost a shame he didnt win and disappoint them, then they would know the reality.
A year on from your comment and the situation has got laughably worse. Truss and Kwarteng's Hayek inspired nonsense crashing the economy, an executive full of plutocrats, UK experiencing highest inflation in the G7 and lowest economic growth forecast in the G20 and essential service workers striking up and down the country.
So guardian readers and PRO EU universities which brainwash students to be lefties are open minded but Sun readers are brainwashed and stupid even though the SUN paper as switch from labour and conservative supporter over the years, showing open mindiness. No wonder Labour lost with idiots like you lot.
I can hear Martin McGuiness who WAS in it laughing in his grave now but as everyone knows if yu have people shot you get to become education minister later on
My point is the original IRA fought for freedom from the IRA. If you say differ I think you need to actually look into basic history and realize the UK were then greedy and favored colonialism....
She just lost the vote of confidence she asked for in the first place. If she had won even a slim majority I would agree with you. And BTW, I don't think this outcome gives Corbyn the right to rule. Not by a long shot. It'll be interesting to see what comes next. I don't have any skin in this game. I'm Canadian. But I do think Ms. May has an obligation to step down.
andrew thomas i think she will be forced out she held this election to take power within her party.the wolves will be out.boris will keep tories in the wilderness
8:07 This put tears in my eyes: "Times are changing now. [...] The way we have been bought up. We go to school from Poland, India, Asia, anywhere." 8:44 What a bitter sweet ending. P.S. May ends in June? Power is intoxicating. May still doesn't want to go for now but how long will she last with the tides of youth going against her?!
i'm in canada, and i've been on tenterhooks for this election, too. i'm 57 and i've been waiting 40 years for folks to realize the only thing that trickles down is shite
That was a nice video. The last bit, "Three weeks ago everything looked bleak, and now there's a hell of a lot of hope" - actually brought a tear to my eye, and I believe the reporter was about to tear up too.
I know very few people actually stop scrolling through the comments when someone tells them to, so I won't, but I'd just like to warn you that there's some nasty stuff down there.
It gives me hope the next generation will save our planet. my generation has been the generation of wall street, of "greed is good." This is wonderful. young people are more informed than most realize
No they're not, I'm 21, people my age are fucking clueless I promise. It's only because Corbyn ran on a platform of identity politics and 'I'll give you all this free shit'. Generation Z, those born in late 90s through the early 2000s are way more conservative than us millennials, it's just a matter of cycles
theo tryhard Well because conservatives don't provide the financial capital to grow a nation. The US is still in some kind of 19th Century Protestant capitalist mindset, in which the world already bypassed.
Really disturbs me how people don't actually vote based off actual policies and perspectives that will actually benefit them.. The rich certainly do so, but poorer communities go off impressions, which is NOT what politics is about.
Why do leftists find it acceptable to ridicule individuals for their academic performance, weight or intellectual capability when the person in question doesn't vote for left wing parties, however mocking an overweight unintelligent labour voter with purple hair is considered to be a heinous crime worthy of prison time?
Seeing a White Brummie voting Corbyn because JME convinced him is one of the most heartwarming things I've seen in years. When Grime first hit it was the most London and mostly black youth movement you could possible imagine. I wondered if it would translate to other parts of the U.K. Now over 10'years later, Grime is the movement for all Britain's youth and people like JME can use their influence to get white working class kids to vote for Corbyn. Makes me so happy. Change is not just coming it's already here!
After viewing a few of these videos I can now understand why Brits flock to Spain & Portugal. Sad to see what's happened to the seat of a once great empire.
www.ukpol.co.uk/margaret-thatcher-1999-statement-on-general-pinochet/ Lovely Tories - wonderful Thatcher - she loves and supports terrorism in other people'e countries
I agree that Labour and Corbyn had a better night than expected and new voters energised but Labour did not win. As a labour supporter I am worried that hard left will not broaden the appeal of mainstream working class with aspirations, those more comfortable with Blair, to regain power with a mandate for change. Hard left need to realise you can do f*** all in opposition. So don't start a civil war or think the youth will always vote Labour because when people grow up they become less radical
I love how even after a Hillary Clinton level campaign by the Tories they still easily beat Labour. If you watched sky's coverage they did a poll that showed that 69% of Tory voters thought they would be a good government while the number was mid 40s for labour. This wasn't so much a vote in favor of Corbyn but a vote against May and her inability to go a day without messing up on the campaign.
awwww man, he was outside my work and I have campaigned like a dog for labour inside of my work and neighbourhood and taken time off for it. if I were to be on my normal shift I would have been in this video!
+Otto von Bismarck You know that, and yet you still are completely comfortable with an economic model that gives corporations the power to hold governments to randsom over the economy and by extention, the quality of life of the population?
+Harry Callahan That comment was absolute gold. First you start by naming somebody who is no longer a member of the Shadow Cabinet, then you say Khan is a terrorist sympathizer whilst willfully ignoring Tory deals with the ISIS sponsoring Saudis and the fact they've literally just formed an unofficial coalition with a party founded by former Unionist paramilitarists, then you claimed that Corbyn isn't wanted by his own party - despite winning 2 leadership conmtests with overwhelming shares of the vote and now even been backed by the PLP because of how decent he's done in the election. And then you finish by literally saying you want people with opposing viewpoints "shot for treachery". If it turned out you have a Hatchet and Sticks emblem on a flag somewhere at home, that would not surprise me at all.
Yes it was gold wasn't it? Abbott is shit and just been tossed aside because of how fucking clueless she is, you didn't deny the fact Khan supports terrorists and just mumbled on about something else, you didn't deny the fact Corbyn said he would never use our bombs if we had to and told the world this and gives speeches at rallies with known terrorists, it wasn't that long ago his own party were stabbing him in the back and wanted him out, fact...so yes thanks for confirming everything what i said was gold.
Is not about which party, nor left nor right... It's who can bring peace, stability, security n welfare to the country.... If they can that's the guy.... If failing which, DON'T WASTE PUBLIC MONEY.. STEP DOWN..
They've never tried to hide having a left bias but it's a treat compared to the US frankly. We don't have any restrictions newspapers like we do on television news
The guardian has been the primary opposition to corbyn in regards to the legitimisation of all out opposition to him in the mainstream press. They have adopted cold rejection rather than cautious support and are responsible for a significant part of the campaign to undermine his position as a leader since he ran in 2015.
He has a good chance of becoming Prime Minister next time in around 5 years time because Brexit is going to be a fucking disaster. The huge economic shocks and instability coupled with ever increasingly deepening Conservative cuts to public services is going to create huge anger. Consequences of Brexit are going to be awful.
I am Norwegian, so I don't know British politics that well, but can anybody explain why many commenters here has such hatred towards the labour party and Corbyn in particular? I can't remember reading that labour has done anything particularly bad. But one frequently reads about Tories having rather cold hearted, frequently cutting services for the least well off. Traveling in the UK that is what strikes me as a Scandinavian, that there is a serious poverty problem in the UK. So it is odd that Tories don't take that serious. One should have thought the fact that a man like Jeremy Corbyn tries to do something about that would be appreciated.
I'm no Churchill fan, but a five minute conversation with the average voter is indeed enough to lose all faith in democracy. Those young chaps are the "best educated" generation in history? God help us.
@@farzana6676 Labor is an Australian party. Foreigners, let alone undocumented ones, can’t vote at all. There is no such thing as ‘transgenders’ -- it’s not a noun. In the UK, Tories have no really been very transphobic (it’s not like the US), so it’s not really the case that all trans men and women will vote for the opposition. In all, you are very confused. Sit down, have a cup of tea, and read a bit more about British politics before making further comment.
@@Correctrix I read all about it. Brits need to grow a pair and get Rees Mogg into office. Most others are utter garbage liberal leftists, emasculated open border globalists. Rees Mogg will reestablish the empire.
The important thing is what happens next. Will momentum continue to be with Labour? Will Scots go back to supporting Labour for Westminster? To what degree will the Tories tear themselves apart? Time will tell if this has been a game changer.
Rather be a "beta male" than an "alpha male" I feel like those phrases were just made up by some blokes who wanted to keep their inflated Ego. The "alpha males" I tend to see only care about beer, cars, girls and the gym.
The federal government doesn't want to hear the following sentence: "I don't want to vote!" People who live in a former kingdom or a territory that had kingdoms shall vote if voting rights are mandatory. If they say it, they will be confined behind bars. So shut up and vote! Let you voice be heard as the source of your political choice!
They were expecting us to lose seats and be obliterated. They had a 20 point lead ahead of us in the polls (tony blair landslide territory) but we GAINED 30 seats! And created a load of new marginals out of old tory safe seats. It's a pretty brilliant result considering the media onslaught against Corbyn and the lack of backing of the PLP. It really gives me hope about winning the next election
It's so strange to see journalism cheering for one side explicitely like that. Is this common in Britain to expect that some news company will cheer for one side and another for the other side?
Lets vote Jeremy because he promised the earth, free school meals and free university educated every else pays for. Not forgetting he voted to give more rights to those blowing us up than our own people.
Labour voters rationale... voted "because I was insisted too by my wife", "because he [Jeremy] is the man", "the sun...omg...pshh...exactly", "something has to change in this world" "everytime Labour wins a constituency we are drinking Tequila".. fair enough some were smashed but reflects the a lot of sober Labour voters, says a lot about the so called 'more educated' young voters. We are more 'educated' but less free thinking.
Just remember, the reason alot of people voted labour is not actually because labours manifesto won them over. Its because theresa may ran a totally shit campaign, barely ever appears in public and just can not interact with the people without looking awkward and out of place.
3 weeks ago everything looked bleak and now even bleaker. Corbyn has failed as I knew he would, Theresa May has failed to get the backing of the electorate and that means Brexit is going to be a complete nightmare. Do us all a favor May and step down. I say Rees-Mogg or Nigel Farage for PM.
I’m so glad that she lost her majority and I’m also glad that labour gained a lot of seats during the local elections of 2018 , Labour is getting stronger as a party.. 🙌
The educated youth "I vote because of JME (Grime Rapper)" and "every time labour get a seat I'm having a shot of tequilla" yea sure these are the 'educated' masses of Britain. This is the death of a once great civilisation these people are a total disgrace to their ancestors who founded the largest Empire in history and developed a level of culture and civilised society that was the envy of world. Has no one ever read Gibbons Decline and fall of the Roman Empire or watched Sir Kenneth Clarks civilisation? The native British culture has been so downgraded that these people who are totally ignorant of their own heritage or are of foreign origin and loyalty are leading all of us towards a new dark age. Sickening to visit the graves of our heroes around the world to then see a TH-cam video like this. If the Brits who died for their Empire and civilisation from 1914 to 45 could see this they just wouldn't of bothered fighting.
Cambel McLaughlin "We need to hold on to our culture", what do you mean by that, exactly? What culture? The ones we have adopted from around the world? I'm up for that! Or did you mean a culture of closed-net xenophobia? "We used to know our (white) neighbours and we want it to stay that way". Fuck that. It's not about "British culture" it's about humanitarian culture, fuck where you're from, let's all be one with each other.
Oscar Tango How then would you explain the decline of the extremely anti-LGBT Catholic church, to the point that they're having to put pro-LGBT Francis in to get the cash inflow going back in?
Cambel McLaughlin name one piece of culture which is our truly, our tea, foreign, our national favorite dish, foreign, our bloody stereotype, fish and chips. Foreign, as it came from the immigration of Italians. There is no whole classical 'british culture', we have Scottish and Irish which are quite prominent but not as an entire united nation.
Didn't anyone learn anything from Nick Clegg? Politicians will tell you literally anything to get elected. Even Jeremy Corbyn. This whole election should have been about getting Brexit done. We've all scored an own goal with this. Could people just swallow their pride and vote Tory just this once? At least we had a chance of some kind of deal. This chaos could place us in a situation where the EU can't be bother to talk to us in the first place.
Reeko Squeeze There is WAY more biased Tory media than what there is for labour. 72% of young people voted Labour as they were actually informed on what they were voting for unlike the elderly who voted conservative for the sake of voting conservative.
You are conservative because you, probably, have conservative parents. Try to get your information outside of your family circle maybe you might change.
Labour wont do away with Tuition fees. Only do that in Scotland so the English & Welsh & Northern Irish tax payers subsidises Scottish Students & their NHS Prescriptions oh and Long Term Care as the Scots don't lose their houses if they go into care.
"To be young and not a revolutionary is a contradiction" - Salvador Allende (democratically-elected socialist president of Chile in 1970 and ousted by a CIA-backed coup d'état in 1973). Go Labour! Go UK!
Let's hope that Theresa May says "I will not be calling another snap election next year!" With any luck, she'll go on another walking holiday in Wales next April...
everyones moaning about the sun ... your papers just as shit you just don't see it because its your paper so that generally means you agree with it ... be smart read them all....
This made me feel a bit depressed tbh. It confirms to me that so many of the people in this country don't do any thinking for themselves. The ignorance, of mainly the Conservative supporters who vote against their own interests, makes a nonsense of democracy and how it's supposed to work. We need to make responsibility and social cohesion, simple economics and its effects on each of us, our families, neighbours and communities an important part of our normal education from primary school age. I doubt the powers that be would ever let that happen though - it would expose them for what they really are...
As a 14 year old elections don't really effect me but I'm also into politics and wanna see Corbyn in office primarily to see how they would cope so when I get older I know exactly who to vote for. I dont like labour which is why I want them in power so they can prove me wrong :P
How to try a ruin the country! Tax businesses so they leave the U.K. and take jobs with them. If business leave people loss jobs so are unable to support the local barber, butcher, newsagent, restaurant so they go as well losing further jobs. Without income tax, corporation tax and people spending money in the local community the snowball effect is immeasurable. Pension funds own most shopping centres, office buildings, industrial parks. Without trade and industry everyone's pension suffers! Property values reduce which means we all lose as we own they largest banks that provide the majority of mortgages in the U.K. Meaning our banks are now in negative equity. Now we have no money to put into the NHS or education or housing !

Goes to show the level of intelligence of Sun readers
Pete Humphrey people who have a different opinion to you doesn't make them less intelligent
Well the guardian is the minority paper, the sun far more popular so sour grapes is expected by ignorant sanctimonious toffs.

dont forget BBC! ur go to jail if u dont pay!! but Murdochs the boogie man right?
Whats the American Newspaper equivalent to the Sun? just for reference.
"His past life in the IRA".... *facepalm*

"I refuse to give up power." Theresa May. How very democratic.
andrew thomas how democratic the fact she gave us the vote. Ofc she said she wouldn't step down...
They're still the biggest party, even if she stepped down we'd get another Tory toff forming government now.
And given the preference I'll let them keep the leader who just shot herself in the foot.
She just lost the vote of confidence she asked for in the first place. If she had won even a slim majority I would agree with you. And BTW, I don't think this outcome gives Corbyn the right to rule. Does this mean that you think that socialists dislike the England team? Oh dear!
So funny how poor people vote conservative

Which poor person is stupid enough to vote conservative? Oh wait, they don't.
Because they don't want to become Venezuela?
Well that just shows you don't understand people's motivations if you think it's funny.
Oh and I suppose thats why they are the most powerful nation in the history of human civilization then huh?
well this didn't age well
4:30 I can see a copy of the Sun in that bloke's van. Previously voted for labour Labour, then UKIP, now conservative. Coincidence?
7:19 "JME voted for Labour so I will too" - imagine having a grime artist as your political sage
The Sun is a sheepish xenophobe's best friend.
Looking at the sun for any real length of time will make you go blind! Sad realy.
George Mirchev asalaam aleikum.
Who owns The Sun?.... The people behind Fox News.... and we all know how Fox News is when it comes to anyone not stuck in the 1950s way of life.
Murdoch apparently stormed out of the times party early in the night, that was the first sign to me that things were not going too swimmingly
for the nation and its people? naa lets just give it all away.
JC has uplifted our masses and we don't care what the haters say. JC is the man and you know it.
I moved to Japan a year ago and when I see the state of my home country and people like this i nearly cry of happiness that im not there any more.
Well we are glad you are not here anymore. Please don't bother coming back.

That's what journalism should be done! Good job guys!
2:22 "Vote Winnick, vote Labour" All PPCs should have a car with a loudspeaker like that 😂
Great series, be sure to commission a second one for next months snap election!
Hilarious that this comment is already two years old. Looking forward commenting again in 2021 when they call another one.

Tories messed up Brexit big time, and a reasonable cynic would say 'intentionally'. Well-done Gina Miller, from Guyana!

A great empire of theft and slavery. Nothing to be proud of.
Has everyone lost the erection? And if any chancer says, "nah mate, not me" my response shall be, "ooo, you're hard"
tory was doing good until they unveiled their manefesto. If the kept their mouth shut they would of won
Would 'HAVE'. Not "would of".
I am a staunch Tory, although I do feel bad for the elderly Labour MP who lost his seat after nearly 40 years.
Man says free school meals from labour- Tories introduce free school meals- Labour votes against it 🤦🏼♂️
*Jeremy Corbyn is the absolute boy and you really should never have demonized him Guardian.*
Just by reading the condecending comments under this video you can understand why people voted for Brexit.

Romeo because its called democracy.
America's founders knew how dangerous democracy was.
Haha, labour had a 10 point lead among people aged 25-49, so let's just ban over 50s from voting yeah? (Jokes)
Rick Jones so that old ppl can fuck up the young's future? Old ppl SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOTE.

Well done Britain !
Look at all those imported Labour voters, brilliant!
I'm no Churchill fan, but a five minute conversation with the average voter is indeed enough to lose all faith in democracy. Those young chaps are the "best educated" generation in history? God help us.
The whole of Britain lost.
That lad at the 8.20 mark gives me hope, the whole result gives me hope.
Patriots vote UKIP or Tory.
‘Patriot’ must mean ‘moron’ then.
Ben Walker True patriots vote Labour. Idiots vote UKIP. Tosspots vote Tory.
@@Correctrix Transgenders and illegal aliens vote labor. Patriots vote Tory.
7:53.... yep... that pretty much sums up the chicks in UK.
How do you un-see that?
Labour has the really trashy looking women and beta males locked down.
100% unbiased 👌👌
1:18 Corbyn's a knobhead lmao
I live in Scotland, and I never gave a shit about this election.
Delusioned
5:54 I disagree with that, where I live there is very low ethnic diversity and an ageing population and labour won by a large margin.
But Labour lost...
So did the Tories. No one won a majority in their own right, therefore no one really won as such.
It's so strange to see journalism cheering for one side explicitely like that. Is this common in Britain to expect that some news company will cheer for one side and another for the other side?
I voted conservatives
cinema writer what are you talking about? Do you have a proof 😡
That's your choice, but your PM is a goner.
cinema writer So youre voting commie?
So basically, young people voted Labour, and old people or anyone who makes oblique references to migrants voted Tory or ’kipper.
Lets vote Jeremy because he promised the earth, free school meals and free university educated every else pays for. Not forgetting he voted to give more rights to those blowing us up than our own people.
Labour proposed no tax or NI increase for all but the top 5 percent of earners, but yes, your right clearly 'every else' will have to pay for it
It was a very good night for the man who couldn't win and who could therefore afford to make extravagant promises he had no hope of keeping.
They think they are educated when in fact they are parrots squaking what their left wing jewish professor told them to say. For a pat on the head.
Labour still lost though, its hardly a victory
Lot of bitter envious old people yelling at clouds up in here!
Imagine how thoroughly brainwashed you'd have to be to not understand your own culture. This guy just lists of food items.
Insanity.
I'm young and I'm a tory. There are many closet tories... This biased shit is unbelievable.
Reeko Squeeze read the sun then read the guardian.
Reeko Squeeze yeah yeah . and many older people voted labour . what's your point?
Reeko Squeeze There is WAY more biased Tory media than what there is for labour. 72% of young people voted Labour as they were actually informed on what they were voting for unlike the elderly who voted conservative for the sake of voting conservative.
Informed. Trade secretary taking chinese bribes, and Dianne Abbot who's a racist biggot?
Wut, Corbyn is great but his cabinet is awful.
You are conservative because you, probably, have conservative parents. Try to get your information outside of your family circle maybe you might change.
Labour wont do away with Tuition fees. Only do that in Scotland so the English & Welsh & Northern Irish tax payers subsidises Scottish Students & their NHS Prescriptions oh and Long Term Care as the Scots don't lose their houses if they go into care.
free shit basically
"To be young and not a revolutionary is a contradiction" - Salvador Allende (democratically-elected socialist president of Chile in 1970 and ousted by a CIA-backed coup d'état in 1973). Go Labour! Go UK!
Fun fact in 1979 when there was a Tory landslide Walsall went blue and this time when labour were doing a lot better they went Tory
That moment when the Guardian act like they're any better than the Sun.
Let's hope that Theresa May says "I will not be calling another snap election next year!"
With any luck, she'll go on another walking holiday in Wales next April...
everyones moaning about the sun ... your papers just as shit you just don't see it because its your paper so that generally means you agree with it ... be smart read them all....
Congratulations Britain! Good luck! Go get em. Welcome to social democracy! Enjoy that tequila
anywhere but westminster? because 44% of the vote lives in Westminster
This is an excellent film and accurately captures the reasons why the political landscape has shifted.
As a 14 year old elections don't really effect me but I'm also into politics and wanna see Corbyn in office primarily to see how they would cope so when I get older I know exactly who to vote for.
I dont like labour which is why I want them in power so they can prove me wrong :P
JC is the man and he's the champion of the poor, disabled, migrants and the youths.JC is undoubtedly for the human rights for all.
except native british tax payers
