I was at one of the festivals where she was headlining last month and she left me speechless not only with her own songs but when she started to cover Janis Joplin, literally the woman standing around me started crying and said Miley made her feeling like she's at Janis' concert and it made my heart melt. Miley is so talented, hopefully she will release only rock albums from now on, pop music doesn't show her voice so well

Is not a rock album at all, but has influences. She released Plastic Hearts 2 years ago. It's worth to hear it.
The best part in this is when the crowd finally accepts her and they all go wild at the same time. Felt like Chris was watching and smiling and I had to stop and cry. Too soon R.I.P
She literally shit on everyone who doubted her in the crowd.

She’s incredible. After this I gained so much respect for her. She’s the closest we’ve come to women like Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Alannah Myles, and Joan Jett and that’s one hell of a panel to compare her to.

This was so touching. Im not a big Miley fan but i am becoming one now. I'm getting so much sincerity and soul from this, definitley some Stevie Nicks flavor in her rock voice. Goosebumps!

Lots of people don’t give Miley the respect she deserves
In other vids, you can hear people laughing when she’s introduced, and obviously by the end she had the room in the palm of her hand
She's singing with McCready, Gossard, Ament, and Matt Cameron (all of the guys from pearl jam) on drums - the original lineup of Temple; the guys that wrote and recorded this song with with CC, on an album made for their friend and former lead singer (Andrew Wood) of their band Mother love bone after AW died of an overdose. AW was CCs roommate at the time. And now, they're playing it with Miley singing, at CCs tribute show..... The emotions those guys must've been dealing with 💔

She admitted on interview she was the one that didn't belong on the set list yet she stole the show. You can hear the bleak of the crowd as she's introduced then the amazement at the end.
People are so surprised Miley can sing anything. The chick’s been on tour since she was 11.
And has done GENIOUS things on the way. I so want her Backyard sessions on Spotify!!!
When people who love rock talk ish about Miley I always just show them this video. That my friends is how you win a crowd of people who think your just a popstar over! Shes not Hannah Montana anymore and hasn't been for a long time. She deserves respect in this genre because she's the only one bringing the older stars back. If you notice when she does award shows she rarely sings her own music. She understands and values these artists that her generation didn't grow up with necessarily.
And she knows what she's doing. She knows these artists have left us far too soon and she just brings them back to us for a brief moment. It's incredible.

She did nothing blow roof off of that place! I fell in love with her voice and love that she gave everything in that performance.
She talked to Howard Stern about this performance, she said she did it completely differently during rehearsal, and when she got off stage her mom was like "Where did that come from?!" She was like a woman possessed.
Also, one of my favorite songs from the entire year was the one she did with Joan Jett, called Bad Karma.
This may be my favorite cover by Miley. If you don’t at least respect the talent she has after this performance then you just don’t have ears. She absolutely KILLED it.

When I saw her do this cover I was blown away, know she can do these rock songs no problem but it was the fact it was a tribute and felt so special, she even said she felt like something took over Her and she just let loose!!!!
This performance made me a Miley fan. And every time I see it I find more and more to love about it. I know that Chris heard that all the way from heaven. I know he would be so proud of that performance because he was a lover of great music.

I absolutely love this cover. I listen to both her version and the original. I do watch a different fab recorded angle but this one was still fine… same vocals.

I would love for Miley to do her own rock album, but I would really, really love her to do a cover album of more stuff like this first. I think her renditions are fantastic.
I remember listening to her Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton backyard sessions and hoped she'd leave the pop and hip hop scene. She kind of alluded to wanting to go a different direction with that music and so glad she did.

Her best live vocal performance for me, from her is I'll take care of you, Sydney Australia. I just can't seem to get away from it. Her vocals r just insane, goosebumps everytime! The emotion she puts into it, amazing! At first her attire is distracting, but once she sings,ya don't notice. This is her 2nd best vocal performance, for me.

I've seen a better copy than yours, it was a reaction video as well, their copy was much better than this one, and the band was more visible than on this version!
