    Thank you! Most people are just looking for the price to charge without thinking about whether or not it's profitable, which is why we developed this calculator. It's free to use for members of MyHouseCleaningBiz. We'd love to have you join us for this and a ton of other resources and information!

    To insure you make a profit you need to know your business numbers. When you know your numbers you can use the calendar to determine how much profit you will make based on your price point.

    Yes, hostile. The video clips you've seen are a small part of a 1 hour training video. Cleaning companies need to train their employees - and yes, they need to train them on how to clean toilets. You apparently don't have a cleaning business or you'd know that cleaning is not a job just anyone can do. I suggest since you're so knowledgeable about running a business, you spend your time helping others that DON'T know (like the ones we help), instead of surfing the Internet posting rude comments.

    So I would Charge 100$ then charge then Hourly? If I am running the Building and finding homes for my employees to clean how would I charge the consumer to insure me the Buissness owner and the employees make what they should?

      No, not sure where you got that idea. The calculator has 2 pricing methods - estimating price by your estimated hours per cleaning or by production rate. Most companies estimate the time it will take to clean and then apply their hourly rate to estimate the price. The second part of the calculator adds in your costs. You need to know your pay rates, your employment taxes, Worker's Comp rates, unemployment rate and overhead costs. When you put those rates into the calculator it will give you your price and profitability.

    Wow, that is pretty hostile. First of all, we have not just "popped up", we've been online with The Janitorial Store since 2005, and with MyHouseCleaningBiz since 2009. We've helped thousands of cleaning business owners get their business off the ground. We do not sell crap and we don't consider our members stupid - they just need help, which we provide. Our time is devoted to helping people every day. And BTW, many people have no idea how to do the calculations in this calculator.

    Are percentages taken out for taxes based off the total bidding price for the job? If not, what is this tax percentage of? For example, is it 7.65% of total labor expenses?

    • @thejanitorialstore
      @thejanitorialstore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      FICA, Medicare and FUTA are the standard rates we pay for all employees in the U.S. Your SUTA rate is the rate your state gives to your business. So whatever your payroll expenses are for this particular home is what goes in these fields. The calculator figures it out based on the payroll info you entered previously. Yes, it would be 7.65% of total labor expense for this home.

      @thejanitorialstore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lamira, you enter your tax percentages and those prices are taken out of the total bidding price point. The 7.65 is only the FICA and Medicare portion for taxes that are listed. The 7.65% is what everyone pay for FICA and Medicare, other taxes are examples and you need to know your numbers and enter them. Hope that helps.

    The crew needs to drive from job to job in 1 day...how much time sitting in the car driving around,and who gets paid for this lost time?

    • @thejanitorialstore
      @thejanitorialstore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erik - You are required to pay for drive time between jobs so that has to be figured into your pricing. A lot of business owners keep a tight control on this to make sure they're not wasting time or taking longer routes. Many are now using GPS tracking too. If you're in a metro area with a lot of traffic, work with your team to plan out the most efficient routes. Note that if they are full time and take a lunch break, that would not be paid but be sure to check with your state laws regarding breaks.

    Where do House Cleaners buy their cleaning products these days? In my area bleach is as scarce as toilet paper.

    • @thejanitorialstore
      @thejanitorialstore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They will get them from janitorial supply houses, big box stores, and online. Many use eco friendly or green products.
