    Theres some bangers not mentioned in this video. Like Sheoldred's edict where you just watch all your opponents go insane as you kill the creature they all put down on their last turn. Or manamorphose, which is basically a free spell that will turn your 2 generic mana investment into 2 mana of any color and draw you a card. Imp's mischief for a counter if you're running black and no blue. Abeyance locks an opponent up and draws you a card. Orim's chant is just a better Silence if you ask me. Angel's Grace and Everybody Lives! are awesome protection spells. Memory Lapse can be one of the most devastating counters to put on the scepter, they'll just keep drawing the same cards over and over if they have no way to draw extra ones. And this wouldn't be complete without mentioning any of the 2 drop command cards likes Atarkas command, there's so much you can do with that every turn.

    From what I understand you can't pay alternate costs like Overload but you can pay additional costs. So you can still do Kicker, Multikicker, Replicate, Casualty, etc.

      Yes and for cards like shrapnel blast you still need to sac an artifact

    • @LostPlaneswalker
      @LostPlaneswalker  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's very true, some cards are just worse adding them to isochron scepter. I hope you have a great day!

    Chances are you're playing most of those spells anyway so unlike many two-card combos there isn't much opportunity cost. It works decently well with ramp spells (although most are sorceries)

      Some spells defiantly work better then others. I hope you have a great day!

    Delver slots right into a scepter deck a little swiftspear and you win fast, I prefer jeskai personally

    play it with roiling vortex, ensoul artifact, and shapnel blast, artifact lands, counterspell, lightning bolt. manabarbs, powersurge, citadel of pain. wall of steel.

    I feel like this is the kind if card that honestly wants a very spefic shell like I tried it in my Naya blitz deck in commander and after awhile I just cut it often times it was usually a bit too slow or entirely dead not saying it's bad but I definitely feel this is more suitable for control and combo decks
    Also not sure why you included efemerate in the same section as all the removal spells still a good hit for scepter but I feel like including it with removal is abit misleading to what the card actually does

      That's true. I don't find it incredible but having a repeatable effect is still nice. The opportunity cost isn't as huge as most other 2-card combos but it can still be a dead draw on occasion.

      @William Drum yeah I think if your combing with it or playing control it's definitely a solid include but otherwise it can be a pain also if you put counter spells underneath it you will definitely be encouraging more people to run boseju who endures and krosan grip to deal with it

      That was a mistake on my end. Sometimes when im sorting cards for my videos I get them mixed up. I hope you have a great day!

    Never thought about the combo with Silence before! but I also don't think my playgroup would like that very much... I'll at least add it in the Sideboard for when we all decide to be degenerates.

    Why should you play Isochron Scepter? Because I just picked up 400 copies of all these other cards at a fire sale, that's why.
