Edward Babb and the McCollough Sons of Thunder - trombone shout band music from Harlem, New York

A performance by trombonist Edward Babb and the McCollough Sons of Thunder, a trombone "shout band" Babb directed, which is based at the United House of Prayer for All People in New York City, which is located on the corner of 125th Street and Eighth Avenue, near the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem.
Filmed at the 1997 National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowships concert, which took place in Lisner Auditorium, George Washington University, Washington, D.C., United States, Thursday, September 25, 1997. In this video, Babb is introduced by folklorist Nick Spitzer.
Edward Babb (b. New York City, December 14, 1944; d. June 16, 2019) was a trombone "shout band" leader of the United House of Prayer for All People, an evangelical Christian denomination. In 1997 Babb was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowship, the U.S.'s highest honor in the folk and traditional arts.
Babb passed away on Father's Day, June 16, 2019, at the age of 74, far too young and playing until his last breaths, while in a wheelchair battling cancer.

WOW! first heard of Elder Babb when he was honored at the White House for his National Humanities for the Arts Award.

He was outstanding, wasn't he? He apparently passed away a year or two ago, but I still have seen no obituary or tribute posted anywhere on the Internet. I have written repeatedly to the National Endowment for the Arts to let them know that he had passed away, and to suggest that they add a link to this video on his page at the NEA website, but they ignored me each time.
