- On board footage going over Buttertubs Pass from Hawes toward Thwaite. Late October 2019. Last long ride out of the year? Probably.....😢 Simple, single viewpoint from AKASO V50 pro mounted on a chest harness. Engine noise recorded on a ZOOM H2n digital recorder placed in the toolbox area under the seat. Thanks to APEX on youtube for advice about sound recording. See his channel. I'm still working on it!

That is some picturesque scenery.....
.... yes! ... sounds & looks GREAT !! SALUT !!
SALUT to you in Austria! Thanks for your positive comments! 😁
Finally someone riding a cb1100 aggressively, finally 🌹
Hey Jimmie, I hustle it along a bit for an old man! The engine is so torquey and unstressed that I don't think the impression of speed comes across in the videos. It felt fast enough for the conditions at the time. A couple of my other videos give a better impression of speed I think. Cheers.
Sure looks fast from here
Sound quality is so much better on this now!! Love it :D
I think I can improve it somewhat. Have to wait now until the winter is over....😤
Nice video: you are much more of a positive rider than I am on my 2017 EX, which seldom sees the noisy side of 2500rpm. So much torque that I think I’ve got lazy in my use of the gearbox.
Looks like you have some great riding country up there...
Thanks Tony, yeah, these roads aren't actually on my doorstep, but only about an hour away, and worth every visit. As for your riding, always go at your own pace, I reckon. I go out to enjoy myself, not frighten myself to death or impress anyone else. Have a good summer and stay safe... 👍🏻
nice..... original Auspuff????
Yes, recorded on a digital recorder under seat.
Stock exhaust?
Yes, sound recorded with a digital recorder.
@@oldhelmet4213 Nice!
@@oldhelmet4213 I guess this bike does sound really good if you can rev it. It almost sounds electric at low rpms.
Is it Heavy
Its about 570lb I think. So, yes, it is a bit heavy but what you would expect for a retro look 1100cc bike. Obviously, once its moving its fine so its just manoeuvring that might be an issue to some. I'm 64 and reasonably fit for my age.
@@oldhelmet4213 thanks for your reply yes the weight is to be expected but still think its heavier than needs to be think for that reason alone I am looking towards the triumph t120 as my next bike it's been hard decision between two both been retro
About 550 pounds or so that you feel at rest but once you're rolling the weight disappears. Still it's relative as when I hop on after getting off my Wing it feels like a featherweight.
