    Minnesota is one of the states that had a large population of Scandinavians settle there in the 1800's, most likely the reason why they chose vikings. America is a melting pot, extremely diverse

    Norwegian and Swedish immigrants settled in Minnesota, hence the Vikings. And yes, there is a St. Olaf, MN.

    Fun fact about two NFL stadiums:
    In Seattle, the fans got so loud they caused a small Earthquake
    and in Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers stadium has a pirate ship that fires cannons every time the team scores

    SoFi is amazing. My wife flew us to LA and took me to a Chargers game for my birthday. I can’t describe how overwhelming the feeling is inside the building. It’s a grand cathedral to sports.

    The first ever NFL game played at the 5 billion dollar SoFi stadium that was allowed to have fans was postponed an hour due to lightning, which is ironic because it was a Chargers game and their logo is a lightning bolt!

    Minnesotans generally are either Norwegian, Swedish or Finish descended, and retains the last Swedish language speakers in many small towns. Its not unkown for Swedish Americans in Minnesota to treat the monarch of Sweden as their ethnic King, and Peter Stromare was utterly shocked in 1994 when filming the movie Fargo to find portraits of Karl XVI Gustaf in People's homes they were using for the movie.

After Seattle beat their record the Chief's came back and beat their record, and once it was beaten again by the Seahawks, the Chiefs have the loudest recorded decibel level at 142.3

    Matthew, you keep calling them Arenas. Arenas are for Hockey and Basketball and typically have less than 20k seats. These are Stadiums, for Football and Soccer, and typically are 70k seats and larger. Also, it was crazy to see Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta many times in the opening sequence, then have it not be included in the top 5. It is top 5 for sure!

    • @ItsMatthewReacts
      @ItsMatthewReacts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I see, just used to say it since some stadiums over here are actually called arenas, even if they are 60-70k+, like Allianz Arena, but I see your point, great hint, I'll make sure to use the right words in the future 😎 Well I will try to find a video for all the NFL stadiums, many of them are massive! Have a great Super Bowl!

    Minnesota has the biggest diaspora of Scandinavians in the US, the most part pf the north Midwest of the country for that matter. SoFi should've been #1 imo. That stadium looks amazing. As a New Yorker I wish they would have made MetLife stadium more architecturally modern. Its too "generic" and I understand why, because 2 teams play in it, but 2 teams also play in SoFi. Im not a fan of any of the NY NFL teams but they could've made something better imo.

    I have only been to 3 NFL stadiums(Superdome, GaDome and it's replacement, Mercedes Benz), all three to watch a college game, as I do not care about the NFL except to watch certain former players from my college team. I have been to one NFL game but it was in the GaDome and it was not planned, was in Atlanta for a rock concert and went on a whim, to kill time and say I had been to a NFL game.

    I was born in WI.. that means to me that I'm a Packer fan for life no matter which state I live in. I've been to a preseason game.. but I know I'll never get to lambaugh field for a game because tickets are just too hard to get. Seats are hard and cold.. only a few nice seats in the box area. Its True fans that go and sit there, But again.. always a full house. We own a couple stocks.. and a lot of folks own a few stocks. Means nothing financially.. lolol.. but it's fun to put on the wall.

    The Packers are/were kind of a "workers' team", yeah. When the NFL started, in the 1920s, there were teams from all kinds of towns and cities all across the country. Now, it's mostly _major_ cities, and the Green Bay Packers are one of only a few "small-town teams" left. Also, when the team's founder, Curly Lambeau, needed money for uniforms and equipment (and also permission to use the company's athletic field), he asked his employers. They agreed, on the condition that he name the team after them. That company was a _meat packing_ company. Hence, "Green Bay _Packers"._

    • @ItsMatthewReacts
      @ItsMatthewReacts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is such a cool story, I had no idea that was how they got their name, thank you very much!

    I'm from Green Bay, Wisconsin! I can actually see Lambeau Field from my house! The stadium can seat 80% of our city! The Packers are one of the oldest NFL teams and it's the team that's owned by the community. Also Lambeau Field is one of the only stadiums that hasn't sold out it's name to a sponsor.
    The Packer players have a tradition of jumping into the stands with the fans. It's called the Lambeau Leap!

    There’s a reason for the Vikings’ tradition. The northern area is populated by Scandinavians. I also recommend listening to the narrator rather than talking over him. You’ll learn a lot more. Also SoFi cost 5 billion, not 5 million. And it should be number 1 on this list.
