Greetings from Ireland. Great to see the kids out with you. Must be frustrating a stupid little grub screw. But you guys overcame, adapted and won. Well done.Great to see George doing his bit. Thanks keep the video's coming. Well done all.
Haha I could feel the frustration the long breakdowns take especially when you don’t have the parts, we all have those days but it’s a great feeling when it works again
Nex time key fals out, when you get it assembled in position drill thru grub screw hole into key about 1/4 of key thicknes deep sou that grub screw has small hole in key to sit in, then when it gets slopy key wont fall out as easy
Yeah it’s great for firewood, easy on the chainsaw, hot fires .. but it’s not much of a tree otherwise.. a limb dropping, white ant attracting, dead within a couple of decades lol.
At the moment it's just try and guess the end of seeding date and time. I am looking into getting a shop/merch up and running but im quite in the dark about how to go about it all
@@tomsbrookfarm well when you figure it out im in..the jackson brothers channel in nsw just got a shop up and running recently maybe see what they have done
Just a little FYI. You need to change your bolt loosening product because while WD-40 IS a great product it a lubricator. There are many more products to help facilitate rusted and stuck bolts.
Sorry to say lateral thinking. If you had drill taps and a new grub screw why not drill a new hole tap it and fit new grub screw using a low strength lock tite such as 222 to stop corrosion.
The new grub screw we had was quite long so was worried we wouldn't be able to get it tight enough. And as we had the old grub screw out we tried to find a replacement but unfortunately came up short. But yer would of been faster to just drill, tap and chuck in the other grub screw!
It’s a Canadian size set screw aka grub screw. 1/2 metric 1/2 imperial. Cheers from Saskatchewan Canada. Home of bourgault industies
Yer was an odd size, was somewhere between 3 and 4mm but didn't have a 3.5mm and also didn't fit any of our imperial Alan keys either!

I have the same seed cart and have dealt with this exact issue several times. Fun times indeed!!!
Very fun times!!! If I had my time again would defiantly get a tabulator instead of the auger!
Horrific way to lose a whole day work, but on a positive note it gives my ridiculous seed finish date a fighting chance 😂
What a way to lose a day! Ah well, hopefully it lasts the rest of planting for this year. Good luck with it all.

Haven't ever thought of that, that would work a treat!
Lovely to see the next generation helping you great too see
The Key goes in the Way. Never a good time to have a breakdown. Thanks form the vidios.
Sugar gum is the best for firewood we have heaps of dead sugar gum trees on our farm that i cut it’s the best it burns hot
Yer its fantastic, have just started using it and its is incredibly hot!!!

We are staring seeding to day a happy for us🎉🎉
Hey Mate a bit of anti seize on the bolt might have been an idea 🤔Thanks for the video
Not a bad idea! Will do that if it happens again....but hopefully it doesn't!!!
what does the grub screw actually do?
It's a set screw, jams into the key to hold it in the keyway.
How can i get my hands on a Toms Brook hat?

Teamwork! And carefully edited out language

I was just hoping one of your kids didn’t fall over the side.
I thought the same thing.
You need to do something about those fill times JH 😂 I’d pull my hair out talking that long
Yep trust me it's a nightmare!!! but we have got the perfect solution for next year!!!

Ezy out should have never been invented Have never had a one work
Yer they only seem to work about half of the time!

Yeah sugar gum will give you a hot fire.
It most certainly does! Just started using it this week and my god does it get hot!
Tell George he has to speed up or my guess for the finish date is going to be well wrong😂
Oxy is your best friend 😀
