I think a rebuild where you can only recruit offense and defense in alternating years would be fun!
I like the potential, but what would you do with ATH’s? I would say either you’re blocked from recruiting them, or you have to give them a defensive position in the years you’re restricted to recruiting defensive players

I think rebuilds with way lower stakes would be interesting. For example, a rebuild of a community college like this one where you could only recruit one star recruits and the goal isn’t to win a national title, but rather to win a decent bowl game. I think it’s really just unrealistic and gets old seeing tiny teams that clearly could never win a natty come in and start getting 4 star recruits in their first few years of existence.
To me at least these sorts of natty focused rebuilds are better off being done with bigger schools. A rebuild for Duke, UNC, even maybe Kansas that ends in one? Sure. But I think taking these tiny schools and getting them natties is just predictable at this point and relies more on utilizing the game’s unrealistic recruiting system and in-game cheese in the form of broken plays to achieve the result than anything else.

Tbh their formulaic but it's because it's a formula people enjoy apparently. Cheese plays are seen as skill and people stopped caring for that ages ago I mean even in this run he very badly breaks his own rules, namely the only hopping in to user 2 games in a season, as the last season he basically users all the close games. I agree with your points I just feel from looking over other comments we're in the minority

Part is the silliness factor, though. there are quite a few gamers like me, going back to games 20 years ago when I was doing it, who love the weirdness of a 100 points in football or 50 runs in baseball. Visiting my best friend from college this past summer. I played Madden and got 656 rushing yards from the Colts in one game. After a few of the major schools that aren't doing well, like I enjoyed the Nebraska and Iowa. Ones, it's not as much fun for me to watch that. But you have to make it a little unusual if you're going to have a community college. Or as I suggested on another video comment, a division 3 school Wooster where my bedt friend and I went.
Maybe I like the silliness a little better than some different people play games different ways. But this kind of challenge. really does appeal to me.

I'm Goergia fan and your a Kentucky fan, so we both know that Richardson has to improve in terms of his passing ability and if the Colts had a potential Hall of Famer like Matt Ryan, it would've gone a long way to help Richardson to improve.
@@TillmanStudios if Anthony Richardson wants to be a good or successful qb1 he needs to develop a lot because he struggled at Florida with the simple offensive plays and could not read a defense well,but has amazing arm talent and superstar athleticism so yeah he could be an elite qb or a huge bust all depending on how the Colts develop him.
@@chrisatkins8915 That's why I think it was a boneheaded move to not keep Ryan so they could devolp Ryan the right way. If he had a guy like Ryan teaching him, he could've gone a long way. I feel like his chances are low that he finds success because he's most likely getting thrown into the starting job.

I think that not having the restrictions of 5 years or only local recruiment makes these videos a little more intereseting. I guess its because I just love watching you make powerful teams. Anyway, great video!
Here's an idea, if you have to win a bowl game to get those good recruits, if you aren't bowl eligible in a season where you've already gotten the good recruits, you have to go back to bad recruits until you get back to bowl eligibility

You should try a set up/rebuild/straight playing into the season as is by playing only defense and no offense. Or even a career of a defense only player. I just think it would be cool to see what you could do with only playing defense. You should try it with BYU!

This is going to sicken me as someone from an Army family if you don't pick them, but heres a suggestion
- Take charge of a Commander In Chief's Team (Army, Navy, Air Force)
- You can only recruit from that state (Army- New York, Navy- Maryland, Air Force- Colorado), and can only recruit up to seven people above 2 stars every year.
- You have to win the CIC multiple times (If you choose Army or Navy, that includes the Army/Navy game)
- Win a national championship within four years.
my apologies if this is too loose, I only played NCAA football once when on vacation when I was twelve.

Idea: Military Recruit Roulette
Rebuild a service academy or SMC (VMI, Citadel, etc.) but before each season, spin a wheel to determine what state you can recruit from for that season. To make it harder, assign each bowl game a ranking and that determines the highest recruit you can go after.
Example: the Armed Forces Bowl is a 3 star bowl and you spun Florida, so you can only go after 3 star recruits and under from Florida for that season
You should do a video where you take over a great program, crash it into the ground and get fired, then build your way back up to a national championship starting in a g5 school, getting hired power 5 etc.
Move a NAIA football school up to D1 amd rebuild them
Should make one where you start with 1 star recruits and every bowl game win gets bumped up 1 star.

There should be a challenge, maybe a small mini series, where you have to go through the stages of a new school- all the walk ons, having to recruit only jucos the first two years and then go from recruits jucos to three stars and up to five, while moving from conference to conference and having it get harder. If you win the conference or a bowl game you can recruit 2 players that are a star above your level, etc etc

Here is an idea, you have 3 games you can jump in to, but if you play less than 3 in a season (excluding conf. Championships and bowls) you get to play however many games you didnt play last year.
